I tried to cancel my membership with Iron Culture multiple times via email and never received a single response. I sent numerous emails asking to cancel, but they completely ignored me. Now suddenly they are calling me saying I owe $630 and threatening to report it to my credit. This is extremely unprofessional and feels like a very dishonest way to treat former members. If you don't respond to cancellation requests and then try to charge people months later, that's not acceptable business practice. Be very careful signing up here. If you ever try to cancel, you might end up dealing with the same frustrating situation. read more

The overcrowding has gotten out of control as have the cameras with people getting "content" -- it's almost impossible to get a workout in without waiting for machines or fighting for space. Parking is a daily headache, and the towel service which used to be reliable has started to vanish. It feels like management has dropped the ball. Whether it's poor planning or just neglect, it's clear that the current member volume isn't being supported with adequate facilities or service. This used to be a great gym, but now it's been more frustrating than motivating. Go elsewhere. read more

Brand new gym + new equipment + lots of machines = SEXINESS! This is the equation for a better you, as this is your greatest investment in life... mentally, physically and spiritually. It's new and clean... I would even drink from the community water fountain! These are two things that make me feel at ease. Coupled with tons of machines and amazing body building equipment makes for fun times ahead. It's a free standing building with a wrap around outdoor parking in a high traffic area... so it can get packed during those peak hours. If you find the right time to go you will find yourself staying a lot longer than you need to. This is definitely for the superior athlete that is looking for that "unique" look. Practically everyone here is built in a bodacious way... no matter what sex. Don't let that intimidate you, make it a challenge and you will build your own success story. Staff is pleasant and easy to talk to. They have a bar area where they will heat up your meals to eat. Member for just under a year, canceling once contract is up. This gym started off pretty great, as most gyms do. The initial few months is always perfect, but then $hit goes downhill. At IC, it went downhill quicker than most. GYM/LOCKER RM: The gym started pristine but is now always dirty. I am always picking up gym wipes, water bottles, and garbage off the floors. The flooring between the Locker rooms is peeling up due to the flooding they keep having. The gym mirrors are crusted with spit (normal at a gym bc members are grunting....not normal to leave it). The worst part is the bathrooms. The toilets are cleaner in a third world country! Absolutely nasty. Showers covered with soap scum and mold. Towels? Never have them. Always "come back in 10 mins...in the wash." They allow social media influencers to film content ON THE GYM FLOOR. NOT iPhones,it is pro-cameras and mics, and they are always in the way. YOU are EXPECTED to move away from them and to avoid them, not the other way around. And when u complain, management is nasty to you for having dare to mention it. PARKING: Bottom line, there is not enough. You will often have to drive around 5-10 mins for someone to leave. PRICING: They may seem competitive, but it is smoke and mirrors. The "annual maintenance fee" and "annual tech fee" should just be added to the monthly rate. If comparing to other gyms for pricing, you need to add $30 to the monthly rate, because the $300 in hidden fees is unannounced, it just shows on ur credit card statement. (in their defense, these xtra fees are noted in the contract, but I just failed to read it). The final straw was the open air steroid transaction in the locker room this evening. This is another thing management knows about but looks the other way. It is legit done in the open. U can watch the three same dealers in the locker room take money from teens and hand over syringes n bottles. No discretion as they know management doesn't gaf. Unfortunately, the area lacks any decent gyms so the options are limited. This may be the right fit for some, but do your homework first. read more

They play the music SO LOUD@!!!! 67 - 70 Decibels. It is like a nightclub so forget ear phones as it'll be drowned out. There's no peace and enjoyment of a workout when the music is SO LOUD! Hello, This is the worst experience-I have ever received in terms of canceling with a gym. If I could rate this place a zero star I would. I suffer from seizures and was paying for this gym membership for months. I was one of the first to get the sale membership before they even opened. Upon realizing that I could not work out, I decided to cancel. After paying for the gym for 5 months, I reached out to iron culture by telephone to communicate my cancellation. The first desk reception who was a male had told me my account was in good riddance and needed a doctors note to cancel or to pay the rest of the membership. So I sent my doctors note in. Two weeks later my account online and email states my balance was for $300-$500 dollars which was just cleared the two weeks before. I sent my bank statements in to prove that I paid and no one ever responded after that. Now over a year later collections is now harassing me stating that I owe $1,054 dollars to Iron Culture. They said my debt went into collections Nov. 2022 meanwhile the last time I spoke to iron culture was in between the months of march - may, TO WHICH THEY FAILED TO REPLY WHEN EMAIL WAS SENT WITH PROOF. It's unfortunate, that I had to even go to this extremes of writing a review. From the miss communication and the scamming of this place- NO ONE SHOULD SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM. You pay an obscene amount of money for you not to be able to cancel a membership even when you reached out with proof and information needed to cancel. I'm extremely annoyed and frustrated as this can mess up your credit score if not paid. Don't be fooled by the glitz and ambience of this place. Because clearly they are money hungry. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent situation regarding the payment for the gym services. As a member for one month and two weeks, I expected to have a satisfactory experience, yet I have encountered significant problems that have negatively impacted my ability to access the facilities. On the 8th of last month, I noticed a charge on my card corresponding to the gym membership fee, which was duly processed and confirmed. However, to my surprise and frustration, I realized that the gym attempted to make another debit from my account personally, disregarding the fact that the payment had already been made. This second debit, which was not authorized by me, resulted in a blockage of access to the gym facilities three days ago. After presenting the proof of payment for the original debit, which was confirmed and accepted by the system, to the gym manager, the situation has still not been resolved. I was informed that I must wait for their system to resolve the issue, which prevents me from utilizing the services for which I have already paid. Furthermore, I was informed that the days during which I was unable to access the gym due to this problem will not be refunded, which I consider unfair and disappointing. And I joined this gym, because my man told me they had the #1 Trainer in all of New Jersey Joe Taggart and now they lost him. I would like to resolve this matter promptly and fairly. I hope that you can investigate and address this issue immediately so that I can resume my training at the gym without further interruptions. read more

I'd like to preface with the gym was good when it first opened up. Slowly the gym efficiency is in question. I say the following as a professional in multiple industries. Music is way too loud and majority of the time there is music that is not inclusive of your various members. Your parking; a total of 15 times I have almost been ran over by a car because they come in the wrong way. I hope you have good relationships with the town enough to request a patrol car takes up a spot to monitor this; I do not care for a new lounge area or the new retail you bring what I care about is the safety of my family and me. Three departments that I urge you partner with for your various violations are the health department, police department, and fire department (fire prevention). read more

Visited today around 7 pm and it was unbearably crowded with a million gym rats with tripods. I had to wait for so long in between different exercises that I would lose the pump and had to warm up again. They charge $40 for you to just try the gym. Better, less crowded gyms in the area charge ~$40 a month. read more
