Great hidden gem. Pack and lunch, drive down a country road, and enjoy a bottle of wine while listening to the New River. Property is gorgeous. Outdoor seating available. Private outdoor seating locations available to rent. Cabins available to rent on the farm. Winery is in a vintage corn crib that has been converted. High attention to vintage details. Staff is wonderful and knowledgeable about the products. Wine available in bulk, by the glass or bottle, and reasonably priced tastings. We sampled eight different pours and each was enjoyable.

We absolutely loved our experience here! We stayed on the vineyard in a great cabin booked through the Farris farms website. We also got engaged in the vineyard! My fiancé said the owners were very accommodating while he was planning the engagement. The wine was the best out of the three wineries we went to in the area. This will always be a special to us and we can't wait to come back!

Iron Heart's name is double-edged; it's in honor of the location's history as a steel mill, and the strength of character of the women who once owned the farm. Even now, their wine labels are actually pictures of the ladies who work here, or friends & family members. Their 10 acres of vines are heavy on hybrids, but they have some Riesling, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc as well. In fact, they have two Riesling wines available - a dry and a sweet. The winery has only been open since 2016, but the vineyard was planted before that. The tasting room is adorable - it reminds me of a cozy home with little farm chotchkies on the wall. If I wasn't running late I would have loved to stay longer. My favorites were the dry Chardonnay and smooth Cabernet Franc, which I purchased a bottle of (mom you're welcome).

There was ample seating outside the checkout area; about half the seats and tables were under a covered, very large screened porch, the other half is out in the sun with large umbrellas to provide shade. The vineyard itself is small but the view is pretty and the wine we had was very good. The staff were all helpful and friendly. They have one bathroom available to customers but it was very clean, well-stocked with supplies, and the water was hot with good pressure (which is important for hand cleanliness). This trip was a 5 hour drive from where we live, so if we come back again, it would be for another family reunion. But, if you're local or a short drive away, it's definitely worth checking it out.

Reservations are only recommended for groups larger than 6, BUT I would recommend it for anyone who plans on coming as the venue is small. Reservations are 1.5 hours in length. We ordered a Sweet Flight and a Dry Flight as well as a small charcuterie board. The sweet flight and charcuterie board were delicious. The Dry Flight had tasted like it had turned. Staff was nice enough to let us try the Off Dry Flight in turn. They are dog friendly as long as dog is friendly and leashed.

So I was a little unsure whether the wine selection at Beliveau Farm Winery would be for me. But I'm happy to say that these guys are making some great wine. Yvan and Joyce, the owners, know what they are doing in terms of grapes and wine, because they have traveled and enjoyed wine from all around the world. They have a good thing going on here. When I visited, I did a wine tasting, which was paired with different flavored potato chips. So I got to taste several different wines. I'm more of a red wine gal, but one of my favorites at Beliveau is the Crazy Professor, which is a white wine blend: Vidal Blanc, Chardonel, Pinot Gris. They also have a tasty Cab Franc (one of my favorites, too), and another Crazy Professor wine, but this one is a red called The Professor's Crazy Estate Blend, which is Cab Franc, Syrah, Merlot and Tempranillo. Almost all of my favorites in one bottle! So, yes, you will find some great Virginia wines here. You can enjoy a glass indoors or outdoors. I hope you sit outdoors, though, because the grounds are beautiful and expansive. This place is kid-friendly and pet-friendly, too. There's lots of open space for kids to run around, and some big rocks for them to climb on.

We haven't been here in many years because the customer service was bad but not anymore! Laura greeted us as soon as we walked in and 10min later we were best friends. Now I didn't hurt that she was from Texas and so are we which gave us a lot to talk about but we really enjoyed spending some time learning about her and her husband the new ownership and just their plans for growing this winery. I would say that they definitely have a passion for serving others and have already engaged in the community raising money for different charities their biggest one recently was one for a cancer charity. I'm not much of a wine drinker my wife is but after tasting the Chardonnay which was fantastic we decided to share a bottle and they also have a bourbon barrel aged Cabernet which is amazing. We promptly came home joined the wine club and will definitely be back because it's only about a 30 minute drive from Greensboro. They have music and food trucks on average about twice a month and I can promise you that when you go you'll get good wine and be treated well.

There is a large offering of over 20 varieties. One of the current owners led our tasting and gave us detailed explanations of the history and thought process behind each wine. There are 11 wines that were the original Autumn Creek wines and then the new owners have added some new wines and new blends under the label Gioia dell'Amore Cellars. We liked all of the wines that we tasted. Our favorites were the Diamond Girl White & Red Blends and the Embrace Meritage red blend. After our tasting we purchased a bottle of Diamond Girl Red to enjoy on property. Outside the tasting room are a large deck and a brick patio with sweeping views of grapevines, a pond, a waterfall, a gazebo, a covered area and an event venue (where an anniversary party was taking place). It made for a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.
