First time visit. What a wonderful little vineyard and winery!! My wife and I loved at ten of the wines we tasted. The owners provided the taste testing and they know their wines! The winery is out in the country, but well worth the drive! Finished with a bottle on the deck overlooking the picturesque pond.

I come here regularly for a peaceful detachment with a book. I love the atmosphere, the owners, the fire, and obviously the wine! very knowledgeable of what they produce. So come in ready for a complete break down including the history of the wine and a nice flight of wine to taste. Nothing but positive thoughts and words and look to come back again and again!!

Wonderful atmosphere. The owners are kind sweet individuals and very knowledgeable

Wonderful place. Beautiful scenery quiet and peaceful. The owners are the best they are knowledgeable but down to earth. Once you come you'll want to come back.

    Pretty setting

Now known as Gioia dell'Amore Cellars, the tasting room is housed in a cute log cabin and overlooks a beautiful piece of property with a pond, gazebo and a bridge...it screams wedding venue and feels very much geared to this crowd when they have such names as First Kiss, First Blush and Diamond Girl for their wines. The lady who was doing the tasting was very friendly but offered no information about the winery or the wines as far as how they were made and after tasting it was clear because the wine is not good. The wine called Jolly was about the only one that was enjoyable. The winemaker doesn't have a clue about how to make wine. The reds lacked any body and were so light and the whites barely had any flavor. One of the reds actually tasted like vinegar. If you're a true wine drinker save yourself a trip and don't stop here. If you're a young couple that doesn't know the first thing about wine and you just want a cutesy bottle, by all means have fun.

This was my first stop at Autumn Creek in a few years, and I was struck by how far the wines have fallen. I'm not sure if it was because of the bottles being open too long or what, but all of the wines we had seemed off. Or maybe they just weren't to our palates. The space is beautiful, and they have invested a lot in the grounds to make this a destination. I'll give them another try someday...really hoping I just caught them with some bad bottles.

We stayed 2 nights in Cabin 3 of the one-story quad-plex of Cabins 3-6. It was a 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit plus a pull-out sofa bed in the living space. The attractive transitional decor relied on tones of white-to-charcoal, with natural pine floors, solid doors, and trim to add warmth. Natural light from the windows make the space very welcoming. The king bed was comfortably firm and tall; there was ample bedding (including crisp cotton sheets) and a large nightstand, lamp, and window on each side. A narrow open closet had 6-8 plastic hangers, an iron and board, and a folding luggage rack. The bathroom had plenty of storage and towels. There was no hair dryer nor toiletries, so be sure to bring your own. The counter space, mirror, and lighting were ample and the shower was large with a shampoo niche and fixed shower head. The floors and shower have 12x24" marble-look tiles and the countertop and backsplash look to be marble (undermount sink with satin finish faucet). The kitchen has a coffee maker with filters, a microwave, toaster oven, and refrigerator. There are plates, glasses, flatware, etc. You'll need to bring your own food or go out to eat. There is a small bar area that would accommodate 2 people if a second counter stool were on-site. The living area has matching leather sofa and loveseat that are very comfortable. There are a few throw pillows, area rug, a coffee table and lamp table, and a large flat-screen television with a modest number of channels available. Parking is convenient on gravel next to the cabin. The front porch/deck had 2 Adirondack chairs that overlook the vineyard and are a great spot to watch the sun/moon rise. There is a picnic table and barbecue available for your use. The property is gorgeous, with rolling hills of grapevines and a pond. Weddings and special events are held here in the gazebos, pavilion, and "cellar." The tasting room is warm and welcoming, made even more so by the new owners Laura and David Comer. They unpretentiously tell you about their delicious wines in great detail and their engaging personalities convey their passion for this new venture and sharing it with the friends they are making.

    Sunset was amazing

Ok peeps...we stumbled on a fantastic Vinyard that's close to the Triad and well worth a visit! Located in Mayodan, NC called Autumn Creek. Have you ever visted a Vinyard and tasted thier wine and left saying I hope they make it charging 60.00 a bottle for not so good wine? Well you will find the opposite here! Fantastic wine all priced reasonable. I have never been a fan of white wines but these are all so clean and delicious and the reds were fantastic! Definitely do the 10 tasting! Great seating inside or out to spend an afternoon! The new owners Dsvid and Laura are from Texas (just opened in November) and absolutely are of the best people I have ever met! They radiate exactly "JOY" from the moment you walk in and thier story and thier "why" will touch you to be a fan for life! If you are looking for a day trip make this one! If you are looking for a weekend get out of dodge stay on site as they have 5 cabins available... Weddings, corporate events or just relax in the country they have it and I am sharing because these awesome people need to be discovered...the story needs to be discovered! FIVE STARS for a stress free, super knowledgeable staff, gorgeous setting and really great wine for a great price! Go! Just Go! #scatterjoy #faithinjesus #allin #lovewine #lovepeople #ncwinery #vineyards #corporateevents #weddingvenue

We flew in from Houston to Charlotte. Did a search & discovered this winery. We were able to book a stay for the night while driving to Asheville. Wine tasting was fabulous, hands on & given to us by the owners. We booked the Cabin in the Vines for the night. Views were spectacular. The hospitality was delivered by true Southerns in the way you'd expect hospitality to be delivered in the South. A must visit & stay.

The greeting staff at the station were also wonderful. The wine tour itself was good (we chose the Green line). The best wineries in our opinion were Raffaldini and Piccione. The wines and setting were far superior to the others we visited. We will most definitely return for another wine tour!

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Vine Line today. Earlier in the week I had signed up…read morefor the final spot in one of their tours today as I made plans to spend a long weekend of wineries, waterfall hikes and breweries. And the wine hop bus tour was a major component of what I wanted/planned to do this weekend. In claiming the final spot on this particular tour I thought I would be joining other singles, perhaps, and some couples for a day of wine tasting and winery touring. But no. This was a a group of 8 30-something women out on a girls day out for a birthday celebration. Vine Line knew that when they allowed me - a single man (while social and gregarious I am in my early 60s) - to book the reservation and board the bus. In spite of this incongruity everything seemed fine until we got to the first winery when one of the women "without wanting to be rude" very rudely said they did not want me at the winery - a concept I understood because it seemed odd to me as well. She then told me I wasn't even welcome on their bus - a service I had paid Vine Line for, and not them - and that she had called Vine Line about this. A few minutes later I got a call from Vine Line confirming this. What was supposed to be a gorgeous fun day winery hopping turned into something awkward, uncomfortable, and embarrassing for me - and unnecessarily so given that Vine Line owners - either Shannon or Dennis - could have (should have) interceded so that I did not end up totally out on of place what effectively was a private tour. I don't blame the ladies - except for the tone/words of one of them. This was all on Vine Line. Vine Line's first solution was to offer a private driver to take me to the different wineries. No go - signed up to go to the wineries with other people and not to be privately chauffeured by someone I didn't know. I had to ask for a refund before I was offered one - that should have been the first thing they did. This would be a one-star event. But the owner did take ownership of the situation and apologized for it (although the further he went into his explanation the less logical sense it made but I decided not to challenge it - it was a negative enough day as it was) . Over two hours later they made a mitigating offer of two gift certificates for future use. Because the owner took ownership of this mess and apologized, and because of the mitigating offer my one star is now two stars. When I once again have someone in my life with whom I travel I will go out and give them another chance - this is something that really should have been a lot of fun.
