we keep trying to give this sports bar a chance but every time we go to the bar, the bartender has such a horrible attitude like you're an inconvenience , always on her phone, and doesn't seem to have a personality at all. The first time I ate here a month or so ago and loved it! Our waiter was wonderful and very attentive. I got the ? Piggy potato? My second visit wasn't as friendly - the seat yourself sign was out and as we headed to the spot we wanted we were stopped and told that side wasn't open. We were placed backing up the patrons at the bar so was a bit cramped. The waiter appeared to be new and couldn't answer many questions. Service was excellent, thanks to John. He was personable and attentive. We ordered wings (which are half price on Saturdays) and they did not disappoint! They have numerous flavors too. Family & I came in after my daughters soccer game (Point Uni) and waited for over 15min. For a college town that's to show unity & diversity to the students and their family we were ignored completely. People at another table asked for beer after we had been waiting and they were served right away so sad. Typical bar food, so they met my floor-level expectations. There's no doubt in my mind that the food here came to the store frozen. I will say, though, that I like the stadium-esque seating that angles up to resemble bleacher seats. Would be a pretty cool place to watch the Super Bowl, but we came in August, so we just missed the big game. Went for lunch with my friend and we each ordered the express 6 wing with fries combo with drinks. She also ordered a side or queso. It didn't take long for our food to come out. Maybe 10-15 minutes. Our food arrived before our drinks and when we asked about our drinks the waitress literally told us She forgot. Granted the place was not busy at all. We etc one of 3 tables and the others had been there for a while because they had food when we walked in. So forgot drinks.... Well my friend looked at her queso and you could literally see the cheese was grainy and separating. Like the oil from the cheese was puddled. It looked old or reheated for sure. She asked the waitress and she came back with more From the same pit saying it must of just been the stuff on top. Well the second container was Still the same. Just less in the cup and stirred better. She took a bite out Of it and it was a no. Well tickets come eventually. At this time She is over it. Our drinks hadn't been refilled. And her ticket was all over the place. They told Her and I that wings do not Come with a dipping sauce and had charged her for it. But did not charge me. Well another lady came over to try to fix Things. Told us it's only charged with extra. Well she hadn't gotten an extra. Just the one ranch. That lady comped my friends ticket saying we want you to come back so we will fix this. This was after they saw us take pictures of the food. Overall was not a great experience. I've been a patron of Coach's for 3 years. I eat at this establishment about 3 to 5x a month largely because there just isn't much quality foodie variety available in West Point, GA. This rather lengthy and overdue review will cover my objective observations about: Customer Service, Order Accuracy Speed of service Quality of food My thoughts... Service: When you go to a restaurant you want to be greeted with a super friendly smile and a warm welcome. When you walk into a sports bar you expect the fun buzz of the stadium and people to be full of life. Don't hold your breath for that at Coach's if you're a regular. If you're acknowledged at all You'll be greeted by the unsmiling owners daughter who perpetually seems to be brooding about something or about half the time you'll be completely ignored if it isn't peak busy days/hours. You'll get no greeting or apology for the delays which abound. Order Accuracy: In the years time I have dined at Coach's the kitchen has gotten my orders right only a handful of times. If you're a picky eater this won't be the place for you. Id like my burger "medium rare " (aka pink in the center) is a total crapshoot. Sometimes it will be well other times mooing it's so raw... Tonight I ordered a single filet of catfish (fried with fries). Two filets emerged from the kitchen. Speed of Service: Don't come here if you only have 30 minutes... this is a sit down and wait...and wait...and wait kind of establishment. When the food is cooked right it is good..not great and not something that you are going to talk about when you leave. read more

The food here is fantastic. There are several TVs so any game can be watched on any channel. The seating layout is really unique as they use stadium style seating in the main dining room. The atmosphere is great and there are always lots of people around. The bathrooms are really nice and clean, there is even a TV in the bathroom. The prices are very affordable, especially if you go on a day they have specials. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don't have a full bar. They only sell beer and wine. However, the owner did just open a new restaurant across the street (American SmokeHouse) which does have a full bar with liquor, beer, and wine. read more

We drove from Auburn to try this place out. We heard the catfish was worth the drive. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the catfish. However, the fries were cold and we had to ask for the coleslaw. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer. The mushrooms arrived with our fish baskets and were still frozen. Our waitress apologized and took them back to the kitchen. It was very obvious that the kitchen refried the mushrooms and they were terrible. When we mentioned this to our waitress she offered another order...at that time we were paying our ticket. I have enjoyed Coaches with all of my work associates and really wanted my husband to experience the catfish. Now I am very disappointed. read more

We loved everything about this place BEFORE the virus. Went back today for the first time for a to-go order. They are NOT ready to open. Lied about the time it would take. They didn't answer the phone. Ordered when I got there. The lady at the front said 20 minutes. An hour later I took home some nasty food. We love their Menu. We love their atmosphere. Whoever worked today doesn't care about their job. $45 for $10 worth of "McDonald's" quality food. Please - step it up. If you aren't staffed - don't open. Very disappointing. Very disappointed. When we arrived, it was not crowded. We ordered and waited and waited and waited. 3 more tables were seated after us, all of which ordered and received their food before we did. Sadly, the steak salad that I ordered was seriously lacking: can't understand why the wait was an hour to throw medium-well meat on lettuce. We were only served because we were about to leave. I have been an active customer at Coach's since they opened. Since I have been coming, I ordered the kids meal as I usually do. Once I got my meal, I realized I had 4 wings instead of 5. I confronted the food runner (the bartender named Anissa), and she went off on me and caused a scene in front of everyone. Everyone was watching and she embarrassed me terribly. She also went off on me for ordering a kids meal because I am not 12 or below. I didn't think there was a problem because I have ordered it for years with no issue. I feel utterly disrespected and I will not be returning because of Anissa. This is not the first time she has been rude to me. My waitress, Kathryn R., was amazing on the other hand. Thank you Anissa for ruining Coach's for me. I will not be returning because of you. I hope Anissa doesn't have the opportunity to disrespect other customers like she did to me! read more

Every weekend a group of us look for different restaurants to try and someone told us to try Coaches. This was a really neat place. Someone did a real nice job with the sport theme decorating and it even has an area that is like stadium seating. I meant to take a picture of my food when it came but it looked so good and i was starved so i forgot. I had the surf burger. It was great. Waitress did an awesome job also. My only complaint is a slice of pie is $6 but you only get a sliver of pie. The waitress said the size of the pie depends on who is cutting it. read more

Great, fun place to eat and be with friends. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, food excellent. Not normally a fried pickles fan but, these were really good - with interesting spicy flavor and a great breading/coating, which I think made them extra special. Almost ate the whole basket myself.
