Anniversary dinner- hoping for something a bit special. Very small place, so you would think they care. Service was polite, satisfactory. We ordered mussels to share. 12 good sized mussels, flavorful broth, very garlicky. Lukewarm. Server didn't bring bowls for shells or proper small forks.Three small pieces of plain toasted French bread slices to sop up broth- not enough, no flavor. I ordered the duck and asked specifically for medium well with crispy skin. Came medium rare with soggy skin under a raspberry purée. I couldn't eat it, but didn't bother sending it back. If they can't even try to get it right the first time, why bother. My husband ate mine and I ate his pork chop- dry, no flavor. They didn't have any decaf coffee and server offered to brew a pot of regular coffee. For gods sake get a keurig. Creme brûlée was tasteless. Overall a below than average performance for a "fine dining" establishment. Won't go back. read more

Great service food was subpar at best we where a party of 6. 3 ordered the trout 2 changed it from the leeks to broccoli that was a good call the leeks were awful to tuff to eat. The oysters appetizer was too chewy to eat. Another person ordered the chicken pot pie dish the crust was way overcooked and tasted old. I had the Porkchop dish was ok kind of tuff and overcooked. Sensational tiramisu martini!!! We enjoyed the bread and garlic butter very much!!!! Fantastic pork belly appetizer!!!! ! I did not try the shrimp, but my companions loved it. Perfectly grilled medium rare ribeye!!!!!! Very nice single bathroom. Parking is in the parking garage around the corner. They offered dessert at this restaurant, but I wanted to go to scoops and try the ice cream there. I am giving this restaurant five stars because the food was perfection and the waiter was always helpful. I want to add that I'm also giving longhorn 5 stars. This restaurant was closed earlier in the week, so we went to longhorn first, and honestly, the food was so good that we almost didn't come back here. Parking: Was easy to find parking on the street nearby. Ambiance: The restaurant was small, quaint, and clean. There were a few tables as well as bar seating. Food: I ordered the swordfish and Brussels sprouts which was AMAZING. Much better than I anticipated. Service: All of the staff was very friendly, however our server was not wearing a mask. If it weren't for this, I would have given them a solid five stars. We made a Yelp reservation while driving south on 95. Once we got there the restaurant was unable to seat us per the reservation. This just happens as I see it between Yelp and the restaurant. I did get a text notification on the reservation system so it does work well. Nonetheless the staff was great and we sat at the bar and had good conversation with Jack, ordered appetizers and were seated when available. This is a very small restaurant with only five tables. It is associated with the Mare Del Sol restaurant next door. They also share menus. The atmosphere was really nice and the wine and food was great. Meats were cooked well to order and the sides were well prepared. I would recommend this place highly. It's impossible to get lost on here from a waiter perspective given the size. Use Yelp reservation but give yourself some more advance time than we did. Best to call and confirm as well. The octopus appetizer was intriguing and well prepared as was the pimento cheese. I loved the pork chop. Very think and cooked excellently. Came out hot with the sides. Also had the filet and that was cooked very well also. A great place to come. Not good for kids. Go next door to their adjacent restaurant. read more

I had the 16 oz blackened CAB ribeye with broccolini. Steak was cooked a perfect medium but... it was under seasoned... the broccolini (no complaints) was actually saltier than the steak. Quality was good but I could make a better USDA prime steak at home with the reverse sear method and my torch. For a $38 steak, I expected better. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and attentive. I'd give this place a 3.5 out of 5 if Yelp would let me. I just don't think it's worthy of 4 stars with the under seasoned steak. Drove over from Callaway Gardens, as we were looking for a more upscale restaurant- came in an sat immediately at the table we reserved. I'll start by saying, this place has great food, but very bad service. Our waiter told us a couple times he kept "forgetting" about us. I'm sorry, what? What could have been a one hour meal turned into an almost 3 hour meal. Our drinks would be empty, and we would have to wave him down just to ask for more water and tea. This is definitely the kind of service I would expect at a Chili's or terrible chain restaurant. We ordered dessert because we mentioned we were celebrating my husbands birthday, after 30 min of waiting for already made banana pudding, he came running out of the kitchen and said "oh sorry I forgot about this" Definitely a birthday to remember for him! read more

Located on a quaint but lively main street this little restaurant was a modern gem. Ordered a filet and aged steak and both were wonderful. Charcuterie board was yummy as well. Staff was polite and responsive. Entry greeting could use some work as we didn't know what to do when we walked in. A small host stand would probably remedy this. Called the number listed on google to make reservations, upon arrival we were told we made reservations with their sister restaurant next store. We could order off the same menu so no big deal. Ordered the duck breast with the Brussels. When plate came out the kitchen it came with no Brussels. I asked the good runner "isn't this supposed to come with Brussels?" She replies: " your server didn't tell you we were out?" So server comes by shortly after, tells me they were out of Brussels and asks if we would like something else. We got a ceaser salad which had a dressing that was definitely not ceaser. Later when I was in the bathroom I noticed a employee walk out of the toilet room and wash his hands, but they were out of soap so he really just rinsed them off with water and walked out. We arrived and were seated. The prices were high so we were a little confused by the casual manner and dress of the staff. We had a wedge salad that was fine but no offer to split it or bring plates. We ordered a ribeye that came with potatoes au gratin and spinach. The ribeye came VERY under and served on a wood cutting board. The spinach bowl was tiny and was filled with sauce and a chunk of melted-together cheese. We sent the steak back and asked for better spinach. The steak came back a bit more towards medium and we were given sauteed spinach instead. I ordered the short rib. It was tender but pretty flavorless. Both steak sides came in tiny bowls. The potatoes were dry and very hard to chew. We were never asked if we wanted more wine. Our glasses stood empty for most of the meal. Our waiter left during our meal and another server took over. We have been eating in restaurants across the south and this is the worst we have been in. The owner needs to concentrate on the experience of the diner and food quality. The prices are too high for lazy service, wood tables, no bread at table, and common serving style. read more

A friend brought me here for my Birthday and it did not disappoint! The restaurant was cleans service was exceptional and the location is in a quaint part of LaGrange with shops and local boutiques surrounding. They have an extensive 5 star menu with fresh seafood, steaks and sandwiches. There is definitely something for everyone. The stuffed mushrooms and tuna tataki were delicious! I didn't expect to find a place like C'Sons in LaGrange, GA. I expected some BBQ joints, good southern cookin, and maybe a few decent chop houses. C'Sons stands alone in down town LaGrange as a contemporary, American restaurant. I was confused... was this a different day in a different town? this place was more old town Pasadena than small town GA.... The decor is modern and elegant. Simple settings with a warm atmosphere and colors. Hostess and waiting service were friendly and eager to serve. I was a part of a party of 20+... Waiters/waitresses were a little light on experience but managed to work things out. with time and proper training, they can be a top notch crew. Wine list is surprisingly large (about 30 reds and mostly by glass) The food is good for the most part. The freshness of the food is in the taste. We had the Salmon and the oyster for starters. both good and well presented. I had the bacon wrapped fillet as my main. beef is of high quality and cooked well. I didn't care much for the sauce but it was not bad. the creme brulee unfortunately was a disaster. it was creme bru-soup across the table. take note chef, less heavy cream to egg. 45 minutes @325 in your oven and make sure it sets. It looks like C'Sons LaGrange GA attracts the who's who in the local community. I think it isn't bad for a small town but has a lot of room for improvement. This place has a lot of potential to be great. A nice find. would come back again. read more

This place will get the locals hopping about food, I hope. Step away from the deep fryers and enjoy! C'Sons is injecting a little foodie presence into this modest town, and is doing a good job of it. The bar and wine selections are very impressive; I was very impressed with their whiskey selection. The bartenders need to work on their classic cocktails a little, though. The bar area is very cool and trendy; the dining room is very classy without being too pretentious. Their lunch and dinner menu changes daily and everyone is sure to find something they like. Where else in this area are you going to get to try foie gras and veal? Service was prompt and professional. One suggestion to management: No live music, please. No live music. NO LIVE MUSIC. It was totally out of place and intrusive to the dining experience. I don't care if you were only doing it because it was Christmas music, BAH! HUMBUG! No live music. Most diners will have a great time here. Just remember, you aren't in San Francisco. You aren't in New York. You aren't in Miami. You are in LaGrange. So it's a little pricier than most restaurants in the area, but it definitely also some of the best food. My friend had the fried okra and it was very different and tasty. I had the ravioli and it was small, but still very filling and filled with flavor! We went to C'sons at 9pm one evening. Two tables were still busy and the waiter eagerly seated us. Little did we know that the kitchen had begun to close. Apparently the waiter found out a half hour or more later that the chef had closed the kitchen but had reopened on his insistence and without telling us what was happening. Our party of four had alot of catching up to do so we did not notice the time until 10pm came and no food. Finally the waiter came a little after 10 and said that the entrees would be out in 1 minute. Fifteen minutes later the entrees came out (just before we were about to pay for the wine and walk out). We should have walked out. The entrees were overcooked and not good at all. The shrimp in the seafood pasta dishes that two of us had were obviously frozen and overcooked (tough).. . The pasta tasted anything but made in house as advertised. I had the vegetable ravioli and it was tough. The porchini mushrooms with the pasta tasted like shoeleather. All in all a terrible meal, served by a willing and gullible waiter. The chef offered free desserts to compensate but even the desserts were bad. Chocolate tort surely tasted like it came from Sysco's finest selection and instead of whipped cream, there was a dairy whip topping. What should have happened is the chef should have come out in the beginning and apologized that he had closed the kitchen early. We could have had a drink and left happy campers. What he got was deservedly poor reviews on multiple websites and customers who are going to tell everyone they know not to go there. The biggest mistake we made was not walking out. I had the foie gras and the pork trio and was stuffed like a pig on pig, ha! The staff there was very welcoming and treated you as if you were family. This gem in Lagrange was a bit of a drive but well worth it for my birthday dinner. I recommend you make the drive from either Atlanta or Columbus. My hubby works in Ga. and I only get to visit a few times a year and we always do something special on V-Day. we heard that Csons was a nice place to go. We ate on Valentine day and had a prefixed Meal Like $100.00 or so a Couple not including Drinks. We had an early Reservation hoping to eat well and go to a show. Big mistake, Service was Great, nice young Lady , She tried her Best to stay positive with all the bad we experience. The appetizers were nice but took at least 15 to 20 min to receive, and we had or salad about 10 min after our appetizers were cleared. I guess they were trying to sell drinks because those were the only thing to arrive on time. When our Entrées Arrived almost an hour after we sat. We were sorely disappointed. All I can say is we ate Mushy no flavor and basically uneatable food, we missed our show for it . after we let our server clear our plates we dreaded dessert and we were not disappointed it was worse than the Entrées, Really no surprise, Blue cheese and Vinegar (yum yum ) We would have done better with Double Cheese burgers and a fried pie. And at $160.00 before tip we could have eaten like kings. I think you have a major problem with your establishment. I know from the commits that were floating around the tables that we were not the only ones feeling this way. To say again are server was very nice and the wine and drinks were very good but the only thing I can say about the food is thank god I did not Die. Wont come back. It's "A-OK" for being located in LaGrange (which pretty much blows). Our waitress was extremely pretty and did her job very well. Owner or big shot of the place could have been cooler. Place was almost empty but he didn't seem to be very friendly until old white money stepped into the place. The food was alright, nothing really special if you were in L.A. Don't think I would come back since A. the food wasn't that great, B. i'm not old white money, and C. I would probably enjoy going to Waffle House instead. read more

C'sons is not like any other restaurant in LaGrange. The atmosphere is amazingly contemporary yet comfortable. The staff is very friendly and polite. The owners of the restaurant have been in every time I have dined at C'sons. They are very accommodating. They offered wonderful wine selections, and also gave us a heads-up about the organic vegetables that were picked that same day. C'sons is a retreat in itself!
