I had to make a reservation over a week in advance for a Saturday evening. It is located two blocks south of downtown Griffin. The restaurant has a small parking lot (about 5 - 6 spaces). The entrance is a bit hard to spot as you approach. We managed to score the last spot there, but if it is full you can park within 2 blocks on Hill Street. You enter via the front door of the yellow house. Inside in what was the hallway is the host station. The staff was friendly and got us seated promptly. The interior is still divided into the original home's rooms, which gives it a more intimate feel. Hence, there are at least 3 distinct dining rooms. Our server was prompt and brought water before taking our drink order. He then returned to get our full meal order. We split one of the salads (butter lettuce, blue cheese, and pistachios), which we both liked. We also got the sourdough bread appetizer, which was good. My wife opted for fish, which she enjoyed. I went with steak frites over a burger. The cut of meat was good, though I might bump up the done-ness by 1 notch next time. Their philosophy seemed to be more of limiting the selections a bit in favor of making each option well. We saved some room and checked out the desserts. I think there were 4 selections, surprisingly without any chocolate to anchor it. We got the white chocolate cheesecake and liked it a lot. Prices were in line with the fine dining vibe. This isn't the most convenient venue for us, but we'll definitely consider a return visit. It was worth a longer drive.
