Ironstone removed a huge Norway Maple tree that had completely taken over my back yard. The job they did was amazing, they were professional and the cleanup job was top notch. They cut up the logs into 12-16 inch pieces so it will be perfect for firewood in the future. Hired this company in early March, they said 2 weeks to be on site, by end of march - crickets, by mid April - complete silence. I called them 4 or 5 times, each time with the promise to 'put me on the schedule'. I NEVER GOT A EMAIL OR TEXT stating a date to be on-site, and gave up. Hired Mayer - from 1st contact to tree removal - 3 days as promised. Here is the worst - After I cancelled Iron Tree - they kept trying to schedule the tree removal anyway - fricking idiots. If a company can not tell you when they will perform the work, or does not do what they say they will (like get back to you) - do not use them. So, my advise - DON'T USE IRON TREE SERVICE - Use Mayer instead. read more

Professional, honest, and, one of the MAIN THINGS ... Nice People! The owner did the estimate for me, and he came on the day-of at the beginning to make sure his crew worked according to our agreement and to my liking. Then, at the end, the foreman on the job (another guy) asked me if I had any other concerns before they packed up and left. 5 stars just isn't enough to describe the amazing service we received from Iron Tree Service. We interviewed many people to get quotes for removing a neighbor's tree branch which was encroaching on our roof and to completely remove a very large diseased cherry tree which was entwined in overhead wires. We had an assortment of late, no show and burly people as well as a few possible candidates. Michael at Iron Tree Service was our last appointment and he blew all the others away. He was on time, knowledgeable, polite and cheerful. In addition he came in with the lowest price and had the most up to date equipment. We signed a contact for a date to be determined about 6 weeks out. However the tree branch touching our roof had other ideas. It broke off and fell into our backyard. I send a photo of what happened to Mike. I got an immediate email response saying that he would be happy to clean up the large amount of debris from the broken limb right away. This alone would have impressed me but soon after I got a call from Bianca (?) at Iron Tree who said she could fit us in to do all the work in a few days. Now I was ecstatic! Their very professional crew came with serious equipment cut down the cherry tree, cleaned up the debris from the cherry tree and downed limb in our yard, my neighbor's yard and the sidewalks and street perfectly. The noise level was so minimal that I slept through the entire operation unlike when a smaller tree was cut down a week ago a few houses away from ours. They were always very responsive to my questions via email and even tried to accommodate my request to move up the removal date. We used Iron Tree twice for emergencies. On the first occasion, our neighbor's 7,500 pound tree broke and fell down the hill onto our pool house. Without the immediate response of Iron Tree, we would have lost the building. They had to lift giant pieces up and over 2 buildings without damaging them. It was so amazing that I videotaped it. Nobody can believe that the videos are real. The second visit was to remove a damaged tree the morning that a photographer was arriving to shoot the property for a sales brochure. Dennis the owner is very professional and squeezed me into his busy schedule knowing the house was going on the market. I had many downed trees that needing to be pushed out of site to another part of my land which he suggested and was a more economical solution than to cut and haul away saving me $. His crew worked very hard, cleaning up after everything. The only thing I'd suggest for improvement is the scheduling, being here when they say they're going to and/or texting when they are going to arrive as there were a few occasions that didn't happen, however I understand and took into consideration some jobs run longer than others plus he squeezed me in, just would have liked a little more communication but ultimately they performed by the time I needed things done. It's tough being in the trades on site doing work and trying to handle calls in general so some slack at the end of the day. I would hire him again, oh he was also very affordable. read more
