There is simply no better asian restaurant far and broad. I love Iron Wok so much that I come here about twice a week + takeout. Their lunch is generous and lasts from 11 am to 4pm which is far longer than most restaurants. Food is always excellent, I tried all the general tso shops in 25 mi radius and theirs is the freshest and best. I think I have to stop now since it should be clear how much I love this place. Must have changed kitchen staff. This place used to have great food, but my take out tonight tasted all bland with no flavor. Ordered the orange peel beef, sesame chicken, general Tsos chicken, and hot and sour soups. Everything tasted the same, I mean everything!! What happened to the quality I used to get??? It's as if my order came out of a cheap Chinese take out or better yet, a frozen dinner. Very disappointed to say the least. $62 wasted. read more

6 of us went to this restaurant after church because someone recommended it and we were disappointed with the food. The service was great and restaurant looked very clean. My husband had green curry and I ordered shrimp broccoli. The green curry had no curry taste to it and it was sugar sweet! My dish was salty, the shrimp were nice but the broccoli were bitter. What a surprising hidden gem in a small shopping center! The ambiance is cozy and elegant without being fussy or cliche. The bar is especially pretty. Large booths, an intimate layout, and cool light fixtures make this place great for groups or a date. The service was really friendly, prompt and helpful. The quality, freshness and taste (for the price as well) of the food exceeded our expectations. I definitely recommend the shrimp with string beans and the Mongolian beef. The filling in the spring rolls was way too squishy; no al dente veggie to be seen other than the decorative carrot peel curl on the side of the plate. The sesame chicken was heavily, sweetly sauced; not terribly great; however, the chicken itself tasted like it was fresh and properly cooked. Iron Wok Bistro is tucked away deep inside a shopping mall. My wife is Chinese and has very high standards, We have been searching in the area for a really good, casual dining Chinese food. We were thrilled to find it here. It is outwardly unassuming. However, stepping inside you find warm and welcoming service, a pleasant (if unspectacular interior setting) and, most of all, top notch Asian food. I use the term Asian food carefully. It is primarily a Chinese Restaurant. But they do offer a variety of Vietnamese and Japanese dishes as well. Everything we ordered, the pot stickers, the lo mein, the vegetarian stir fry and the fried rice, were all fresh and the pot stickers and noodles seemed to really be home-made!! When we went, we were in the company of our grandchildren. The owner could not have been nicer and welcoming. This really is the definition of a "family friendly" place!! This place had a very LA feel to it. It has a very modern decor. The food was great. The owner has passion. I thought it just opened it was so nice... but was surprised to learn it has been open 12 years. The owner has passion for his restaurant. He explained the differences between the rice he uses, as well as all the differences in the meat he uses. He stated that all the meats were fresh and not pre-prepared by outside vendors. On this night, I ordered broccoli cashew chicken with scallions in a white sauce with white rice. It was as good or better than my favorite place in Los Angeles or in New York City. It was so good, that I took my mother to this restaurant and she was impressed. That's hard to do, considering we were born and raised in New York City, where Chinese food is better there than in China. I like to order from the lunch menu because its like $7 and comes with soup, egg roll, & rice. Definitely in my price ranger. I have only ordered to go from this place, and the manager & staff seem pretty friendly. I have ordered: -Egg drop soup: delicious and is a perfect for a chilly day. - Hot & sour coup: a little too sour for me -Crab wontons: okay but not the best - Shrimp pockets: yummy! I love the sauce it comes with -salt & pepper calamari: Also yummy. The batter is pefect -Honey Walnut Shrimp: A little pricey, but worth it. - Kung Pao Chicken: Delicious, but I wish the vegetable and chicken were not so compacted - Mandarin Shrimp: fried shrimp with a really sweet sauce. Great Bar, great owners, and good service. The Singapore Noodle dish is great and one of my norms. In my opinion this is not your normal one after another Chinese restaurant. Actually it seems to have a more Malaysian flair being much more diverse. In this plaza you have Ippolitio's, Tanners, and Iron Wok. All good choices. Decent. I normally read all of the bad reviews when I'm looking for the truth about a restaurant. Listen to them. Flavor is a problem here. DO NOT GET THE SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN...it taste like hot water. Zero flavor. My husband put honey on it when we got home...I couldn't stop laughing. The beef was pretty good for this area. Running by this Restaurant by mere chance. Turn out to be a real pleasant surprise. Owner greeter Alex is warm and friendly. When he saw our 2 year old was being ordered Apple Juice, he asked if we want it to be diluted - because many thinks it is too sweet for those little teeth. Service was fast and attentive. He also explained to us that they practiced healthy food there, meaning everything fresh and quality meat. The two lunch items we ordered - Buddhist delight (the sauce was not salty so you could really taste the vegetables), and the Beef & Broccoli confirmed it (the Beef were Angus Certified). They use Sushi grade rice, so the rice is chewy and done just right. As we will be in town more often, we will definitely return to try their other items on the menu. read more

The breakdown: an extremely well-serviced, tasty, and fairly priced Chinese restaurant. Out of all the Chinese restaurants I've been to (both pseudo Chinese and authentic), this one definitely serves more on the authentic side. I came in on a busy Friday night with a group of 6 with no reservation and the servers took very good care of us- we asked for a specific kind of table and they happily arranged it for us without any attitude (something I experience often when making requests). Their food menu is quite varied. I heard wonderful things about their crab wontons so I ordered those for appetizer as well as a rice dish, the name which I forgot. The thing that really gave this place a jump from 4 to 5 stars was how fresh and hot the food came out. It was such a pleasant surprise. I walked in expecting an average Asian meal and walked out extremely satisfied. I will definitely be coming here again to dry more dishes including desserts! Cheers to Iron Wok! read more

For the second time this has happened. Went in at 9:21pm (closes at 10) no customers, all the staff see us walk in. We are seated given waters and menus. We place our order. At 9:40 a good 5-10 minutes since we placed our order we are told the kitchen staff left at 9:30 (remember they close at 10). So when you saw us walk in and order you didn't think to one tell us they left (again you close at 10 why are they leaving at 9:30) or tell them hey we have customers don't leave.
