Went under contract with this company in May. It is now July and what was supposed to be a 3 week project is still not complete! They have left my stairs half way done. Loose hand rails, no railing on walls, no railing on some of the glass panels they installed. I am having so much trouble in getting this company to complete my project. I have been in contact with their VP asking and asking for their warranty on their work and he will not return emails or texts! Given the many problems with parts being delayed and poor quality of work that has been done thus far all I want is for them to warranty their work and complete my project in a professional manner! I would not choose this company if I could change my decision two months ago! Do not be sold a dream by their sales person Bill if what you want is a modern glass railing project! They have no experience with glass stairs! I have proof on all of this if it will help anyone out when making their decision on their next stair project. read more

We had an appointment scheduled for an installer to come repair issues from the original installation performed by IronWood Connection. On the day of the scheduled appointment, the office called me about one after I had been waiting stating that the installer was not able to make the appointment. I was very confused as to why as they were the ones who set the appointment day and time but had to reschedule. The young lady even let me know that she did not know why he could not make the appointment indicating it did not seem to be an emergency. I scheduled the (2nd) appointment in the morning timeslot for Thursday, three days later. The time frame given was 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Yet again, I made arrangements to be home at the scheduled time. The morning passed and no installer had arrived to the appointment nor had I received a call. Around 12:15 PM, I called the office to inquire what was going on as I had other things to do as well. She said she would call me back. When calling me back she informed me that the installer was on his way but would still be another 30 minutes. About 45 minutes later, the installer arrived. Upon his arrival, he was very rude and unprofessional. He did not introduce himself at all, he was very abrupt and short with me in conversation, as well as did not even apologize or comment on the fact of him being so late. Very dissatisfied with the professionalism and work performed. read more

Very, very frustrating to do business with. My stairs are STILL not right....the iron buttons at the bottom of the balusters are not straight. They look like my 5th grader glued them on. We spent nearly $15,000 with this company to remodel our staircase, and the work was not worth 1/2 of that....very disappointed. They don't call you to inspect upon completion. They don't seem to care what you think at completion. I would have NEVER invested this money in a company like this had I known how little they care about what I (the homeowner) think of their work...it is my home, but that doesn't seem to matter. Our sales rep was great, but unfortunately the work completed was a total headache and very disappointing. read more

Iron wood has a large variety of stair products to choose from, but they are designed for contractors, not DIY'ers. During my first visit to pick up my order, it took over 30min waiting at the will call entrance. That is not including the 20 min to complete the order I have previously called in. On a subsequent visit to exchange 2 damaged items, it took about 35 min to complete the transaction. Overall, nice folks but no sense of urgency or consideration of your time. A year gone bad made an amazing comeback the day my husband and I found an IronWood Connection brochure on the soon-to-be staircase of our dream home. It was a day I'll never forget, connecting with Jim Prado after he made his rounds into our neighborhood to meet with homeowners in the sheetrock phase. Our original builder went bankrupt, leaving us with an unfinished home and a depleted budget to continue. Jim Prado answered the phone when we called to discuss our non-existent budget for a wrought iron staircase in what was supposed to be our forever home.
