Now I'm taking my daughter here and she loves her mommy and me class. She wakes up everyday wanting to go to school even though the class for her age is only one day a week. Also, one of the teachers here, her name is Mrs Bennett, is an angel of a teacher. Even after my son left to go to kindergarten, she got in touch with me to ask how his first day went on the first day of school! She cares about the kids and is so kind. She sets the bar for what a good teacher is and I'm so happy my daughter will get to eventually have her as her teacher too!! I would definitely recommend this preschool!

Additionally, the students are active participants in the running of the school. Planning field trips, voting on changes to the school rules, and serving on the school's "civics board" to hold each other accountable when rules are broken or conflicts arise are all integral parts of a child's experience here. (And you'd be surprised how involved your child can be at such a young age!) The school staff are incredibly nurturing and take time to get to know each student and family individually. The mixed-age environment means the children learn from each other and how to cooperate in a community. My son started school last year at six years old, and we've seen incredible growth in his sense of self-responsibility and confidence. He is also enthusiastic about learning as it is seen as natural rather than "forced" upon him. Most importantly, my son wakes up every morning excited and happy to go to school. It is incredible to see the learning, independence, problem solving skills and mental wellness that follows when you do not dictate to students a specific set of curriculum or a rigid schedule. The teachers are incredibly caring and intentional--spending meaningful time with him as he learns, explores, and discovers new things each day. We went to TCP for 5 years with my two boys and it was a great learning experience for them. TCP parents are very involved in the school which I think is an amazing once in a lifetime experience. I am so happy our family was able to go through TCP and meet so many wonderful people and that I got to share this experience with my littles. Having the memories of them growing up and watching them learn was something that I will cherish forever. It is a co-op so there were responsibilities within the school which I thought were very manageable. They are able to work with your schedule and find the right fit for your family.
