Dhalia is a life saver! I got my seconds pierced a week ago at a market (don't let the novelty sway you, just get it done at a studio properly) and noticed last night that the backing had disappeared on one of my earrings. I thought it had fallen out, but also had the fear that it was inside my ear. Turns out, it was inside my ear. The market piercer used way too short of a flat back earring and my ear swallowed it up within a week. Dhalia skillfully took it out of my ear and as a precaution, we decided to take out the other one as well. She replaced both with a longer flat back bar, and then did the same thing for my roommate in the same exact situation. Ear piercing review for Amber Amber is fantastic! I went to her in December to get my closed holes re-pierced and to "scope out the situation" before bringing my daughter in for her 7th birthday. Amber was very patient and answered all of my questions and educated me beyond my expectations. I got my holes re-pierced in December and then brought my daughter back with me so I could get a 2nd piercing on my lobes and get hers pierced for the first time. She is GREAT with kids and ensures they don't see the needle. Everything is so clean and I had no qualms whatsoever. My daughter is thrilled with her hot pink earrings and I am loving getting to wear earrings again! The whole studio is clean and friendly. It's not built for kids, so I get the music choices and decorations. Luckily my daughter wasn't fixated on everything else happening around her. I spoke with the girl who did my piercing and she quickly accommodated my schedule, assisted me throughout the entire process & worked around my 6 month old that was in the stroller Tehehe. The place was gloomy, saturated with marijuana smell and loud music with vulgar language. The girl was nice (hence the second star) but said she had a client and asked us to wait. No way am I waiting in that stinky environment. One could get stoned just staying in there and breathing the air, the smell was that bad. 2. Called ahead of time. The lady said she used acrylic earrings. I thought that was weird and cheap, especially for the $65 she asked for two upper lobe piercings. 3. She refused to take cards; only took cash and venmo. Stinky. No, thank you. I will never be back. That was disappointing. P.S. A little Background info: I had a tattoo I wanted to get covered up on the back of my neck. I had previously tattooed it in my teens and then tried to have it removed but this only left me with a lot of scarring. Soooo, then I had the scaring covered with another tattoo and lets just say it didn't turn out so well. Flash forward to approx. 7 years later and I once again want to get this done right for good. First place I went to was White Lotus Tattoo in Laguna Hills. This place did not give me good vibes at all. The only friendly person in this place is the piercer. Hes cool, but the rest...ugggh. I approached this one guy working there and asked if they could possibly cover my tattoo up. He laughed. So Rude. He laughed and then called over "the man", this older dude working there that is just too cool to care kinda dude. He comes over and says "nah, good luck, maybe find some place that can use flesh nude colored ink or something". I was kinda bummed out but also confused. I thought these guys were artists and would be up for the challenge. Maybe they just didn't want to deal with it, or me, or maybe they aren't really that good at what they do? Who knows, but anyway, they suck. Next place I contacted was Baron Art Tattoo in Orange. Super nice people, very professional but unfortunately the artists don't do cover-up's as big as mine. Once again, I was bummed but then I found Irvine Ink on Yelp and decided to give Riggs a call. I sent him over a photo of my tattoo and he immediately responded with "hell yea we can do this". He said he would have to play with the designs but that yes it was definitely doable. Riggs is amazing and his entire establishment is amazing.
