The insulated walls and high ceilings made the acoustics a bit challenging, but the mood of the people and the fun made up for that. Kitty, the DJ, kept things moving and on track, and there wasn't a single break in entertainment the whole evening! Folks had to get up and go out into their store and to get a plastic cup of water from lobby area. How stupid and unprofessional. Been to many wineries and tasting rooms and never experienced lack of professional preparation of no real customer service. They just lined us up to collect payment before starting. Why wasn't water on the tables for customers to drink and (or) rinse glasses instead of pouring tasting right after another was in the glass in not a true tasting with resident from the prior wine???? On the way out, leaving the event, the owner never said good-bye or thank you for coming, absolutely nothing said by owner to us a customer as we heading for the door to leave. All of the wines were nasty, and tasted and smelled like a chemical, lighter fluid is what we at my table of folks described these wines as tasting like. No etiquette at all for a businessperson to have no personality at all. He is just making a bad wine and collecting money. Been to a million wineries that have water on the table for guest. They have five wines at a time available for tasting that change weekly. So every time you go, it's a new experience! The staff have so much fun showing off their wines, telling the stories of origin, and helping people experience new flavors! You are allowed to bring snacks and tasting bites of all kinds into the shop! Recommended: a variety of cheeses, a dark chocolate, a salty chip or cracker, even some prosciutto! She informed me that she was the only staff at the time and went to make a float for someone, so totally acceptable wait time. She was very friendly and gave me some good advice on the wines. I went with a $8 tasting as I haven't been here before. As for the wine of the 4 I tried I liked the Sweet Lacrosse, it was the perfect amount of sweetness. I really liked the slushies: margarita and piña colada. I wish I lived closer so I could go back to try some of the other wines but as it is I'll make do with searching my local liquor stores.
