They did a great job on a work pants suit that I haven't wore or cleaned for years. It was expensive though at $30 but had tons of stains. Great job! But this cleaner turned down another blazer I brought in and said it couldn't be cleaned. The stains were permanent she said because it was a change of color to the fabric. Down the street, the other cleaner took that blazer for cleaning so I will let you know if those stains came out. OK, so the other cleaner improved it considerably and now it's wearable! I am so happy I brought it to them! But yes, there are two very faded spots that didn't completely come out. This cleaner also cleaned a sweater of mine but she made a note that it seemed prewashed since the zipper didn't align or something. OK, they want to cover themselves. But the sweater looks great after they cleaned it! Thank you! Another blazer she cleaned but checked it with her nail first if that stain scratched off. It was only yogurt or something so she took it. So I am scared they won't accept my things! It's like soup nazi over there! (suppose to be a joke) She also declined patches I need for holes on pants. So I inquired with the tailor down the street and they do patches for like $10. So I gave them a few pants I needed for repair! Glad someone else knows how to sew. My review for this cleaner is mixed in general. Bottom line: They are expensive but do a good job when they decide to take on the work. read more

I have been going to this Dry Cleaners for over 20 years. Lisa has always been so accommodating and professional. She is an excellent seamstress as well. I even trust them with my cashmere sweaters ! I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by the service I received at this dry cleaning establishment. This woman who appears to be the owner, possibly named Lisa can only be described as nasty and unprofessional. I brought in a pair of pants to be hemmed, now a second time after she had previously hemmed them and they were too long for me to wear comfortably. However, this woman, Lisa refused to fix them properly, despite multiple requests. Instead, she seemed more interested in arguing with me about past inseam requests from almost a year ago. I explained to her that my current request was to have the pants hemmed, as they were still too long even after the first hemming. She completely disregarded this and kept searching up the past hem requests even after I tried on each pair of pants and she measured them/put all the pins in for another hem. She then removed the pins and kept bringing up the old length, measuring the old length and completely defeating the purpose of me getting remeasured. She continued to make comments like "I don't get you.. you did 29in before, yes 29, 29.. ugh I don't get you.. I don't understand you" as if I'm inconveniencing her when the simple fact is after her hemming them and after measuring each one - they were still too long and needed to be hemmed again. I was not accusing her. All I wanted was for her to "fix" them and hem them because they were still too long. The funny part is that she made these comments the first time I had dropped them off and asked her to measure so we can get the first hem right - she made those same comments - "I don't get you.. I don't understand you.." as she seemed annoyed meanwhile all I did was ask her to hem these pants because I had her hem several different pants earlier last year and I had zero complaints about those. This time I had her hem five new pairs of pants. And again she just focused on the measurements from last year instead of what was right in front of her and what was being asked of her. It wasn't a language barrier. She's been nasty before and like many business owners just offended if her work is questioned or something was not done as requested. I mean if you just hemmed my pants and I come back and try them on in front of you and they're still baggy and still too long then they need to be hemmed again. That was all I asked for. She argued with me for over an hour.. repeating herself over and over even after I told her that the previous hem measurements have nothing to do with these hm measurements because she measured them herself. She even admitted to making them slightly longer than the previously requested and discussed hem measurement. This behavior was not only unprofessional but flat out disrespectful. My concerns were completely ignored and my time and money were wasted. As a paying customer, I expect to receive quality service and have my requests taken with respect and not with judgment and visible annoyance. The whole ordeal was unpleasant and left me feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. Please do not go to this dry cleaners.. do not support this business unless you want to go where the owner does not take accountability for her actions. In the end she refused to fix the pants that she hemmed just a week before and refused to give me a refund. read more

Irvington Laundry & Dry Cleaners has been scrub a dub dubbing my clothes since longer than I could remember. My whole family has come here forever. They have stayed faithful to us even during some hard times when we were backed up and continue to serve us today! The owner has seen me grow and they're always talking to me about occasionally personal issues. They are insightful if you can understand their accents. I was once told by the female owner "you can make money, but you can't make life." Is anything truer? Maybe, but still. I always get my suits and pants hemmed here which they also do a great job of, best in Irvington definitely. My clothes end up fitting far better and are as clean as a whistle. Why is that an expression? How many truly clean whistles have you found? They are finger print infested metal things you put your mouth on and blow into. Either way, my clothes are shining. Although these dry cleaners are excellent, and their work is second to none, I have found them to be very very expensive, compared to any other dry cleaners. They seem to nickel-and-dime for every piece of clothing, however I have to say that every piece of clothing and I have received they took excellent care of. Having brought a few items to get laundered and press, I was informed that dry cleaning, while more expensive, would be better for the type of fabric I had. I appreciated her honesty in the descriptions and price differences. The woman also went out of her way to show me the difference between the quality of care by showing me other shirts that were awaiting pick-up. New to the area and was looking for a good dry cleaner. I brought a dress here that was a little dirty and the owner, who was extremely nasty, basically refused to clean my dress after simply warning her that the zipper was a little sensitive. I pretty much had to beg her to try and clean a dirt spot out of the dress after she said she couldn't guarantee she could fix it. I said I didn't need perfection if she could please just try and she refused after giving me countless eye rolls. After she raised her voice to me in front of other customers i decided to take my business to another cleaners down the street who was absolutely amazing and cleaned my dress perfectly.
