Ana and her team quickly set everything up before starting with an introductory demo. I'll be honest, I didn't think we would be able to do it, but it is shockingly easy! More than easy, it was legit mesmerizing. There are a couple methods for flowing, and Ana gave us the opportunity to do as many as we wanted. The fun part of the process is that it really only takes a few minutes start to finish, so aside from formulating what colors to use, you get to watch everyone's grand creation! And to touch on Ana: she was so funny, patient, and kind. Plus who doesn't love engaging with a teacher with a Brazilian accent -- pretty sure that alone made me a better artist ‍ Whether you are a company looking for some team bonding, a group looking for a fun happy hour activity or a family wanting to do something new, male or female, young or old: do this! The team member who worked our party was so patient and friendly with all the kids. The kids loved that they could pick out their own piece to paint. Everyone did a great job painting and had a lot of fun. My daughter ended up getting a birthday plate with her handprint and all her guests' fingerprints. It was such a nice memento! They have everything laid out on the tables for you; paint color palette to choose your paint colors, paint tray, water, white butcher paper on each table. They then bring pencils and paintbrushes to you as well. The employee helping us explained the process in detail and was there every step of the way when we needed help. There is a separate room for parties here which is nice for both party guests and for the other customers just going to paint. Looks like you can bring in trays of food to the party room, which is a nice feature. I found the painting experience here to be fun, clean and very organized. They have a large selection of paint items to choose from too. I would come back in a heartbeat. For those who care, it does seem a little smaller than the other 2 places, especially on a busy day but not so much so that it would deter me from coming back. Katia and Sara have both been her teachers, and she has felt happy and supported with all of them. Like with many activities at this age, it took a couple of weeks for her to fully adjust and feel familiar with the environment but consistency made a big difference. As parents, we appreciate seeing her come home excited and proud of what she created. It is easy to notice how much she has progressed over time and we get very excited when we see her project. We also appreciate the communication style of the school. They provide a high-level overview each week of what the kids will be working on, which keeps parents informed without overwhelming us with too much information. On the administrative side, tuition payments and renewals are simple, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever we have had questions or needed help resolving any mistakes on our part. We also love the location. Depending on the day and who is with me, it is easy to wait nearby at the library, a coffee shop, or a restaurant while class is in session.

Masks are still encouraged even outdoors, which made our guests feel safe. I met with Lindsay for a tour of the new location space and booked it immediately a few months prior to the party date. Lindsay was helpful with answering all my questions via email. They set up so many art and sensory stations that the kids didn't even get to do all of them. There was a good variety of different activities, something for everyone. We added an add on activity to the birthday package which was an instructor led project. Originally, my son picked potions but after Yoissy inquired about my son's interest, she came up with an intricate volcano project. She was so engaging and taught the kids/parents how to make a volcano with mixed media and then do the science experiment. It was so creative and fun! We even went over our time limit for a whole hour. Thank you Yoissy and staff for your extra time and patience with the kiddos! We also brought our own decorations and snacks/cupcakes. However, if you want to use their decorations, it's really cute if you don't have a specific theme. The staff was also super helpful the entire day. I could not be happier with how well the party went and highly recommend having a toddler's birthday here! Please note that the new location is on 1371 9th Avenue, not Judah. Parking is limited in the Inner Sunset, but it's nice that there's a loading zone in front of the Messy Art Lab.

I heard about Happily Ever Laughter through a moms group on Facebook. I was looking for a face…read morepainter for one of the busiest Saturdays of the year and was thrilled when the company had an opening. We decided on face painting, a glitter bar and time for entertainment. Gale was our assigned fairy; she reached out a few days before our event. The morning of, we found out very last minute that we had to change our venue due to rain and Gale was flexible and was right on pace - after a quick text to her, she showed up as the new location on time. She arrived in a very festive Encanto/Mirabel outfit; our location change ended up being to our home and garage. Gale led an entertaining puppet show (several other parents thought for a short while that her rabbit puppet was a real animal) - kids and parents enjoyed it! The kids loved her artistry with her glittery tattoos on their face and hands. Her balloon animals were also a huge hit. It was fantastic to have 1 person with so many great skills to keep kids happy. As my husband and I were running the party, we loved the fact that we were able to keep ~25 2 to 5 year olds entertained for the 3 hour party (2 hours during which Gale was there). It was the best decision to have hired her. Booking with the company was also very easy and organized; I highly recommend it and would do it again. Thanks Gale for making our kid's birthday special and fun, and to the team at Happily Ever Laughter for being so organized and thoughtful. Worth it!!
