He responded quickly and spent several hours diagnosing the problem, charging me $675. Afterward, he told me the AC was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. When he returned to install the new unit, he installed a different brand than the one he had originally promised and charged me $850. He also persuaded me to install an AC with a heat pump, even though I did not need that feature. Since I was not available at the property at the time, I felt I had little choice. To make matters worse, he left without testing the new AC. Later, my tenant informed me that it was not working. I had to contact him again, and he installed a temporary AC unit that had a very strong, unpleasant smell. It took a third visit before he finally installed a standard AC that worked properly. Even now, I have not received the receipt he promised, the owner's manual, or any warranty documentation for the unit. The entire process lacked transparency and caused unnecessary delays and frustration. In the end, this AC replacement cost me nearly $2000, and I was left without the documentation I should have received. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Michael Roman.

They put it in our house without figuring out or even knowing if our plumbing would support it. They have reduced the value of our home. There's a lot more to this story. I went back and forth with this terrible company for more than a year. I will most likely open a civil lawsuit against them if and when we can afford to pay for repairs which one plumber said would be $6000. The cost of the install was $14000. I did this for our handicapped daughter so she would have a fairly care free home maintenance future. They don't care. DO not do business with these people!!!!

I had McKenna at my house to add a heat zone some years ago. That went well…read more While he was there, he suggested that I get an electric water heater. He explained that my on-demand oil system could then be turned off in the summer, saving money. I stupidly trusted that advice rather than research it. First, it makes no sense for a weekend house to heat water all the time when we are almost never there. Second, electric at the time was the only source of energy that was more expensive than oil. And that was when oil cost a lot more. So there is no way for a more expensive energy source that is always on to save money over a cheaper source that is on-demand. To matters worse, he plumbed it after the on-demand oil heater. So I can't even turn off the electric and go back to the oil since it would have to fill the entire electric tank! He should have put it before the oil heater, or run a bypass pipe with valves. I blame myself for agreeing to it, but he should know better. But he got his up-sell I guess. I feel burned. I am still upset every time I have to go to the circuit breaker to turn it on and off when we arrive and leave.
