Josh was responsive, prompt, and communicative. I had called & asked prior to his visit if, when he was here, he would be able to fix a pop up drain and leaking jacuzzi jet. The jet proved to be more involved and it would have been a seek and find for parts from jacuzzi because the tub is 30 years old. I let him know not to pursue that as the jets on the tub are functional. He was able to easily fix the pop up drain and cleared the drain for us too. Josh was professional, fair in pricing and a pleasure to work with. If you need plumbing work call Aiken & Sons. Don't waste your time hounding and chasing after Zoom Drains or Horizon Services. They were responsive and scheduled an appointment promptly for a "free estimate". The plumber was at my home as scheduled to check out my system, but before he would do anything, he told me that I have to pay $460 (plus tax) for labor, and if the disposal system needs to be replaced, it will cost me at least $750 (plus tax). He said he could only go as low as $300 (plus tax), after checking with his supervisor. I thought it's overpriced so since my issue wasn't urgent , I declined to have it fixed. I found a local plumber, who didn't charge for an inspection and charged me a total of $450 including labor to replace the broken system with a new garbage disposal system. Customers should beware of Plumbing services who claim to have free estimates on site but would charge desperate customers exorbitantly, especially if the plumbing issue needs to be fixed urgently!

Friday 13. Should known! Routine check of home systems, hvac,, water treatment system and others…read moreall OK. Water heater not so much. Tank sprung a leak and leak pan full. Heater is 11 yrs old and living on borrowed time. Called a provider a major player in the area and got a quote which seemed rather high. Then called Palmerio and phone answered by the owner. Explained situation and got a ball park quote which was substantially lower than the major player. When could job be done? Answer....today I'll be over within an hour. Long story short from the time of first contact at 8:30am until new heater installed and running at 12:30 pm Elapsed time 4 hours!!! Can't beat that for service and the price was right. Might add im a student of efficiency of motion. I always watch pros when I get the chance as I might learn something I can use myself at some time. Joe certainly knows his business in this regard. I had attempted to replace a garbage disposal, but had an issue with a pipe falling apart. I emailed Rick after 9pm that night, and he responded to my email by calling before 8am the next morning. On the phone call, Rick clearly explained the work to be completed. Rick made the service call himself early in the afternoon, and resolved my issues quickly. He was able to access our crawl space, and navigate his way down there to running a new pipe for my kitchen sink. He installed the Garbage disposal, and cleared the clogged sink drain. The work was performed professionally, quickly.. and priced reasonably. The bill clearly listed all work performed, and detailed pricing. I will certainly use Rick Lucas Plumbing in the future, and I would strongly recommend giving him a call for your Plumbing needs.
