I wanted to like this place, but it was just ok. I entered the cafe just before 9am. There were two people sitting enjoying their breakfast and one person at the counter ordering. I was meeting friends and wanted to get my order in. I ordered a cappuccino, dry, with nonfat milk. I also ordered a ham and cheese breakfast burrito and a coffee cake muffin to share. My friends arrived within 10 minutes. They immediately went to the counter and ordered their coffee and muffin. They joined me at the table. They received their orders promptly. I waited and finally asked where my order was. They gave me my cappuccino which was not made dry as ordered. The burrito was good and the muffin was freshly baked. I think that is why they waited so long to serve me. I didn't give them a chance to correct my drink order because it took so long and I had an appointment to get to. I do try to help the locally owned establishments. Make sure they understand your coffee order because what they made was a latte, not a dry cappuccino like I ordered. read more

Good spot for healthy food but the lady that served me was very rude and dismissive. When I asked her what is the difference between the cup and bowl of acai bowl. She simply said cup is like a coffee cup and the bowl is like a cereal bowl. When I asked her to further explain, she simply dismissed the question and repeated her previous answer. read more

My strawberry banana smoothie was good enough but my hula ham sandwich and tater tots were not good. The sandwich was on a bagel with ham that looked like it was lunch meat from the dollar store, two slices of cheese and a slice of pineapple. Very plain and over priced at $6. The tots were under cooked, soggy and covered in oil. Yuck. I don't recommend this place for lunch. If I was dumb enough to go back I'd try a crepe, or French toast. This is the best place there is! The staff is AMAZINGLY friendly-you will never find a friendlier and appreciative resturant! The food is delicious. I could eat here every day and never complain because the infectious smiles of the staff is happy and makes you feel appreciated to be here! Can't ask for better. 3-STARS because I haven't tried their breakfast yet. However, if it is anything like the lunch I would say 2-STARS. I have tried to give this place a chance multiple time but have been disappointed each time in the lunch food. A significant amount of fair quality chicken coupled with poor quality cheese in the wraps. 0.75$ charge to use your card, making my mediocre wrap round to 10$. Friendly cashier though! Should have got Mexican food from down the street, probably better chicken. Won't be back for lunch, maybe I'll try coffee next time. read more

Came here for coffee and breakfast while waiting for my car to get fixed. Very cute vintage interior, plenty of trinkets and old advertisements to occupy my bored eyes. Mother-daughter duo working were helpful, polite, and prompt, and my coffee and breakfast sandwich were tasty and delivered in a timely fashion for a reasonable price. Didn't try any baked goods but they looked darn tasty in that display case. I hope to never have to spend 48 hours biding my time while carless in Ripon again, but if I did, you better believe I'm coming back for more coffee and such. read more

Super cute cafe! I've been several times already! Breakfast is very good! They have amazing coffee and cinnamon rolls! Lunch is great too! My daughter had a turkey club which she said was amazing. She also ordered a chocolate shake and my iced coffee was perfect! Everything I've had from their bakery counter has been unbelievable!There is a wait in line at times, but it is well worth it! Such a cute town and even cuter cafe. Pit stop for something healthy and the bowls were delicious. I had the Green Life bowl and my mom had the mango bowl. Both were fresh, cool and satisfying. I can't decide which I like most: the egg salad sandwich or the chicken salad sandwich! It's a toss up. Both are delicious! The pastry case is always full and calling to me... I'm stuck on the chocolate chip cookies right now. But there's quite a selection, including seasonal offerings. Then there's the coffee. If you want a plain house coffee, it's first rate. food is good for the town of ripon. student hot spot during lunch break. nice atmosphere to eat and hangout. small but nice feel. we tried their rice dish and grill cheese sandwich. I really enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich here. the rice dish is a bit American flavor but it tasted good. we will stop by again since we live one town over. we tried their Thai ice tea and cold brew coffee. the drinks are good and many students order their bubble tea and smoothie drinks here so I might give it a try next round. recommend this place if you are in Turlock. try going after 12pm since that is when the students go back to school. price is fair and service is quick. read more

Stopped by this morning for some coffee and I'm so glad I did!! I ordered a vanilla latte with coconut milk and it was delicious! Way better than Starbucks! The lady at the register was very friendly and efficient. The prices were right on par with a coffee shop. My medium drink plus extra for coconut milk came to 4.50. We were driving through this morning and once again using Yelp to find a money and time worthy place to have breakfast. While reading the reviews we noticed they didn't have a traditional breakfast menu. So we had to get out of our comfort zone a little. But the biggest attraction for me was the name. My best friends name is Laurel and i wanted to get a mug for her. (Mission accomplished). Back to the food...upon entering, the restaurant was clean and attractive. Cute retro decorations caught my eye. The front bakery cabinet was filled with yummies. We ordered the breakfast pizza, sausage casserole and the fruit cup. We loved the pizza. The sausage gravy was amazing. I do wish the bacon was chopped up. It was a pain cutting through it. But I made it. Lol. The fruit cup was watermelon. Cold and sweet. The sausage casserole was ok. If they were out if the pizza, that would be my next choice. The coffee was good and strong- perfect with creme and sugar. As we were leaving, they brought out fresh apple turnovers. These are my hubbies favorite, so we got one to go. He gave it a thumbs up. I wish we lived closer. We wish you all the best Laurel! Oh, the sweet lady out front was wonderful.
