Exquisite! This place is not only finely detailed but the food is good. You get a wonderful dining experience for a fair price. The decor gives Emerald City and Ruby red slipper vibes with a dash of old Hollywood. They do have gluten free options and the staff is cautious. We enjoyed the lamb lollipops, steak, fish, and pasta. We all enjoyed our meal. Oh they also offer mocktails! Reservation recommended! The place does get busy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, wonderful!

The restaurant is beautiful inside and such a vibe. The service was good nothing too crazy. It was our first time here and my husband brought me for my birthday. I thought it was strange he was charged for the cake instead of it being complimentary. For the appetizer we ordered the truffle Mac super yummy. A the bruschetta. Which wasn't quite was we thought it was but it was good. For the dinners my husband ordered the salmon plate & I ordered the vodka pasta. Great spice level, and lots of flavor

This was my first time at the Falcon's Lair. A friend and I had planned a long awaited "Girls' Night" and decided to take the drive out to Ripon. I made a reservation on Yelp - check-in was smooth and we were seated right away. We were a bit surprised to be seated in the lounge area. The chairs were comfy, but the table was small and low (the height of a mini-coffee table) which would be fine for drinks and appetizers, but not for dinner. Having been at this location when it was the Canal Street Grille, the transformation was amazing. The interior of the restaurant has undergone an incredible transformation. The color scheme of emerald green, gold, black, and white lends is classy and glamorous with an old-school Hollywood speakeasy kind of vibe. The waitresses wear beautiful green flapper-style dresses that embodies the theme. You forget that you're in Ripon! My friend and I both started off with cocktails (a vodka soda and tequila soda) and ordered the Ahi Poke Nachos and a 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell. A 2nd small round table was brought out to hold our appetizers and drinks. Both appetizers were brought out beautifully presented - the nachos had a red rose bloom at the top and the oysters were in a lovely silver shell-shaped platter. For dinner, we both ordered the lasagna. The busboy had to bring out another small round table to hold our main courses. After all of the appetizers and catch-up conversation, we each had a few bites and then had our food packed up to take home. My lasagna seemed a little undercooked and a bit salty, but I was just happy to be there and didn't mind. The service started off great and our waitress was friendly and attentive. After the 1st 20 minutes after taking our drink and appetizer orders, we never saw her again and the food runners/servers took care of us for the rest of the night. They checked on us on regularly, refilled our waters, brought out a second round of cocktails, and our dinner. We appreciated the great service! Our waitress came by to drop off our check, but didn't offer dessert. It felt like she was in a rush to go home and came by 3 times to check the credit card bill folder to see if we were ready to pay. We weren't ignoring her, but just engrossed in conversation, so that was kind of a bummer. I would definitely come back again to try the other appetizers and items on the menu. We were ready to spend money here and definitely did! Our bill came to $230 with tip for 2 people, 2 appetizers, dinner and 4 drinks - pricey, but I'd be willing to give this place another chance to see if my experience would be different.

Great service! Our first time eating there and definitely would recommend trying this place out. Fun experience and the food and drinks were absolutely fantastic. we loved having Joshua he was phenomenal. highly recommend!!!

Food was good but not special. Very pricey. Old Hollywood decor. Service was mediocre. Felt rushed at the end of our meal. We were there to catch up with old friends and wasn't offered desserts or if we were meeting for a special occasion. Only offered the bill and said it can only be split 2 ways. Not accommodating since we had only 3 couples. For 6 people, costed us $187 per couple ( Including tip) Not sure if I would come back when there are better options and better service elsewhere.

This is a very upscale restaurant and the food is delicious. The service was impeccable. Definitely a must go to. I had the chicken pesto pasta, and it was perfect not too rich.

Ambience is definitely a vibe! Service was pleasant. Unfortunately the service was slow since they didn't have much servers. But other than that it was a great experience Came here for a birthday celebration. My friends and I got the steak, oysters, poke nachos, the bread , Mac and cheese and broccolini Everything was so delicious and well seasoned. My favorite was the poke nachos ! I also got a drink , the espresso martini I asked for half the liquor and it was perfect ! Highly recommended!

First time trying out Falcons Lair last night, we didn't have a reservation but thankfully got a table after a short wait. The vibe as soon as you walk in is upscale goth. It's different than any other restaurant I've been too, i love it! Our waitress for the evening was Lidia, she was amazing & very attentive. My husband got a Tito's and tonic, i tried out their lemon drop, both were so refreshing. Next we got ahi poke nachos and they are just as delicious as they are beautiful. I'm a saucy gal, i think it could have used a little bit more sauce but it was still great. For dinner we split the New York steak with fries. It's called something cool but i can't remember the name. Steak was perfect. I will say we both thought the fries could have been cooked a bit longer, it was giving freezer fries :/. The star of the whole meal was the Brussel sprouts we got on the side. They were glazed and DELICIOUS. I'd come back just to have those sprouts. We will def be back, 5/5

My wife and I finally decided to stop in at Falcons Lair, and we're glad we did. We had reservations for 7pm but arrived early and we were seated immediately. The whole vibe inside feels like a speakeasy -- dim lighting, vintage décor, old movies playing on a small TV in the lobby and a projector in the main dining area. The atmosphere, paired with classic tunes, really sets the tone for a unique dining experience. I started with the smoked Old Fashioned -- great presentation and a solid cocktail overall. We began our meal with the focaccia bread, served with a balsamic, oil, and garlic dipping sauce. Fantastic flavors. Next, we shared the chicken tortilla soup, which was packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. For my main course, I ordered the 14 oz ribeye, requested medium rare, though it came out medium. Regardless, it was still tender and flavorful. On the side, I had loaded mashed potatoes and balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts -- both were delicious. My wife ordered the beef short ribs, which came with creamy polenta -- another great dish. For dessert, we initially skipped the ice cream listed on the menu, but our server mentioned a few specials: peach cobbler and banana bread pudding. Both came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and were absolutely amazing. Everything we had was delicious. Given how much we ordered, I expected the bill to be on the higher side. We'll definitely be back -- next time we'll order a little differently to keep the total down, but overall it was a great experience.

As I entered Falcon's Lair, it was a total wow experience. From the speakeasy entrance to the moody lounge, the gorgeous dining area, and even the restrooms, every space is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed. They showed me around each room, and I was blown away by the attention to detail. There is a stunning outdoor area, a cozy lounge, and a dining area with an amazing vibe. The service was excellent. The hostess was so nice and welcoming, and the waitress was very helpful with recommendations. Everything came out quickly, piping hot, and cooked to perfection. They were attentive and made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. The drinks are just as memorable as the atmosphere. The Lavender Gin Fizz was torched right in front of me, creating a fun and impressive touch. The food completely lived up to the hype with creamy mac and cheese, rosemary bread I could not stop dipping, and crispy, juicy Brussels sprouts. I left with a smile on my face, a pep in my step, and a dream to return. Falcon's Lair is perfect for a date night, a fun night out with friends, or anyone looking for a beautiful, Instagram-worthy spot with incredible food, drinks, and service.

Katie was out server and she was beyond amazing! Came to check in on us often and we had a pleasant experience! There were 6 of us and we dined at the Lounge. The huge cheese/fruit appetizer we ordered was perfect for our group. Drinks were amazing. A few of us ordered mocktails and they were delicious! We tried the pizza, pasta and wings and everything was delicious! Parking is easy. On weekends it might be packed but it isn't too bad. 2nd time coming and we'll be back!

My wife and I came to Falcons Lair the day before Valentine's Day to beat the rush, and it was the perfect date night spot. We made our reservation a week or two in advance and had zero issues getting accommodated. They had some awesome Valentine's specialty drinks. I went with the "Cupid's Dragon Kiss," and my wife ordered the Espresso Martini, then followed it up with a tequila mule that definitely packed a punch!! We started with the poke nachos, and man you get such a huge portion and full of flavor. You definitely get your money's worth. For dinner, my wife had the salmon and I treated myself to the massive ribeye with shrimp and mashed potatoes (see photo). The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Easily one of the better ribeyes I've had. No room for dessert after that! The old Hollywood vibe really sets this place apart. The dark ambiance with classic silent films playing in the background (we caught snippets of The Wizard of Oz) made the whole night feel romantic and unique. Even though it was busy, the staff stayed attentive, kept the drinks flowing, and maintained a great attitude all night. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Highly recommend for date night, we'll definitely be back!

Ripon-This place is quite the "Speakeasy/Jazzy/Brooding/Warm" vibe that made us want to kick back and stay allllll night. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures unfortunately because we were just totally enjoying ourselves and I wasn't thinking much about the review! Their Old Fashions and Mexican Mules were on point. We started with a shareable Poke Perfection appetizer and that was a full meal for THREE! Lol Really delicious! My friends had Lamb Lollipops and a Filet, along with sides of mashed potatoes. They agreed that the food was phenomenal and the service was even better! A little on the pricier side, but we loved the cool vibe! We'll be back!

Is this restaurant family friendly or is it adults only? I am considering where to have my graduation party dinner from community college and my in-laws have two minors, so they obviously can't be drinking alcohol.

The food was just your typical diner type, greasy spoon kind of place. I got an egg white omelette with ham (looked like cut up pieces of thin sliced deli meat) and asked that fresh potatoes be boiled in water or steamed in water due to food allergy. What I got was fried potatoes. When I questioned the server he just said that's how they come. Do they not have raw potatoes in the back they could have boiled for me?? The taste of the omelette was meh and I only ate 4 bites. I obviously didn't eat the potatoes. The English Muffin felt oily, like someone touched it with greasy hands. I had asked for it to be dry and with no butter. So basically I didn't eat any of my food and will not be back (this was my third time here and none of the other experiences were any better.) Such a shame because it is only 5-minutes from my house. My dad ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom got the taco salad and both of their meals were inedible too. The food here is just BAD. I told the server I didn't like my food and he didn't even answer me. He took away three plates of uneaten food and no one asked if there was an issue and no manager bothered to come over to even talk to us or try and make it right. What a HUGE waste of money. Don't bother eating here...so many other places to eat that are so much better. This place was packed and no real waiting area...everyone just squished together. This is a hustling and bustling place, so if you are looking for a quiet spot, at least don't go when we did. Best part of this place is their wall for taking pictures. I think they care more about making things look IG worthy, than the quality of the product they are serving.

Ended up chilling at the front bar. Definitely will return to explore the back at a later time. Food: A We got to sample a variety of goodies and drinks from the menu, which definitely hit the spot. The skewers were cooked just right with a kiss of smoke from the grill. The takoyaki were good as expected--yum. We ended the excursion with the milk bread; it was surely a crowd-pleaser. It was fluffy goodness, topped with furikake, and served with a side of decadent house butter. Drinks were perfectly crafted and refreshing. Service: A We were chilling at the bar and got to hang with staff. Cool folks, will be back. - John

My husband and I had a baby free night out to celebrate my birthday and haberdasher did not disappoint. We went soon after opening so there was no line but I know they tend to have one later in the evening. We were greeted warmly at the door by the attendant who checked our ids. I was even wished a happy early birthday. When going into the bar, you walk down a staircase into a space that makes you forget you're in downtown San Jose with beautiful reds and burgundy decor. The staff is all smartly dressed; the bartender and bar back were both sweet and funny. I ordered a jack rose (my all time favorite), their seasonal watermelon waltz (this may be a new favorite for me, nice and refreshing) and one of their zero proof cocktails called a Mariposa which was soooo good as well. My husband ordered a couple old fashioned and a watermelon waltz for himself. We had an amazing time and look forward to coming back in the future.

And they don't allow outside food in even if the food was leftover in Togo bags from dinner. The place was busy when we finally went inside. But the bartenders were fast and we got two rounds of drinks as far as we could order. The dim lighting did look reddish. The large tables were reserved but there plenty of smaller high tops around. Memorable drinks were the perfect pear and the Andean Ascent. Perfect pear was not fruity at all and had a nice aroma and spice to it. The Andean ascent was a nice drink to start with, refreshing with a bit of fizz.
