Your Second Opinion Plumbing just finished their work today, and we could not be happier with it…read more Despite what ended up being a bigger job than originally thought, YSOP made the process smooth, with great communication throughout. I reached out to them last week after water started falling from the upstairs bathroom into the first floor bathroom of the duplex we own. I sent them a message via Yelp and their office responded within the hour, allowing me to pick the time when they would come out the following day. And from there we were rolling. During the initial visit, Cody deduced that there was likely a problem with the flange and wax ring in the upstairs toilet. When they came back the next work day to do the work, we ended up having to get into the walls, where it was easy to see that the 100+-year-old cast iron pipes, original to the home, were actually rusting, with very noticeable cracks in them, leaking water throughout. Over the next day and a half, YSOP replaced ye olde pipes, patched another leak, replaced the flanges on both toilets in the building and moved the plumbing for the basement washing machines, since they already had to work in that vicinity anyway. This was a big job, that didn't come cheap, but they were upfront with all costs and kept to their quote. I also appreciated that they called to give me a 20-minute warning before they showed up each time. Through and through, YSOP was easy to work with, respectful of me and my property and thorough communicated. I will definitely use them again!

I was quoted 3-400 dollars for a valve replacement only to get a call back two hours later that they can't find the valve anywhere for a Pfister product less than 10 years old, so it needs to be fully replaced. The full replacement was 850 dollars and they installed a chrome finish that matches none of the other finishes in the bathroom and was probably 100 bucks. 3 hours of labor and 100 dollar part (with an access panel!) = 850 dollars and a messy silicone job as a keepsake. Furthermore I requested a quote for a replacement water heater to be told that both (it's a duplex) needed to be replaced. My tenant came back to completely cold water so clearly no final inspection was done to ensure it was fixed after work was completed. After I called to complain and was given reasons for why that's not their fault/problem I was reminded that it's probably because the water heater is old and has nothing to do with them... hmmm how convenient. If I could have left 0 stars I would have.

I reached out to Greenwell at 9:35 am and Dylan was at our house before noon. He gave me a couple of repair options and had the job completed by 4 pm. After inspecting the issue for a full 30 seconds I was told the only way to deal with the issue was to jackhammer up the concrete and essential destroy the bathroom. I immediately said no. What he didn't know is I knew how to do the work, it wasn't that difficult. I only called because I didn't want to do it myself. Well an hour later and a trip to he parts store I installed the new flange. Will not be calling Greenwell for any kind of service in the future, and I will be spreading the word of the poor service. Also the tech sat in his van for an additional 45 minutes after he exited the home. A little odd, stealing time maybe? Also green Mohawk? Maybe repping the GREENwell brand but a little unprofessional if you ask me. Drexler will be my choice in the future.

Since this directly affected my tenant, I needed the repair handled quickly, professionally, and at a fair price. I reached out to both Maeser Master Services and Dauenhauer Plumbing while trying to get the issue resolved. After comparing the estimate I received from Maeser with the final paid invoice from Dauenhauer, Dauenhauer ultimately earned my business. Their price came in a couple hundred dollars less, and I appreciated that I did not have to sign up for a monthly membership just to receive a better price on an immediate repair that needed to be handled right away. Dauenhauer replaced the old unit with a new 40 gallon gas water heater, and the process was straightforward from start to finish. The work was completed, the issue was resolved, and my tenant was taken care of. Overall, I was happy with the service, the pricing, and the completed replacement. Out with the old, in with the new. I would use Dauenhauer again for future plumbing needs.

Property Damage Caused by Improper Installation of Emergency Sump Pump…read moreI am filing this complaint against Dauenhauer Plumbing regarding significant water damage to my basement that appears to have been caused by the improper installation of my emergency (secondary) sump pump by their company. On Sunday, March 8, 2026, I noticed that my main sump pump was running continuously without shutting off, which was abnormal. Because I had a newer emergency (secondary) sump pump installed as a backup, I unplugged the main pump to prevent possible damage and contacted Dauenhauer Plumbing to schedule an inspection for the following day. On Monday, March 9, 2026, at approximately 8:30 a.m., I heard an unusual sound coming from the sump pump area in my basement. When I investigated, I discovered water forcefully discharging from piping connected to what appeared to be the emergency (secondary) sump pump system. I immediately contacted Dauenhauer Plumbing, and a plumber arrived within approximately 30 minutes and stopped the water flow. According to the plumber who responded, the emergency (secondary) sump pump had been installed incorrectly. He also stated that he found nothing wrong with the main sump pump. He initially believed the discharge line might be clogged and cut the exterior line to inspect it, but there was no standing water in the discharge line. The plumber then stated that he believed the underground discharge line might be broken and offered to arrange excavation. Instead, I suggested a temporary above-ground discharge solution to move water away from the foundation. The plumber went to Lowe's, purchased flexible piping, returned, connected it, charged me for the materials and labor, and then left. As a result of this incident, my basement sustained water damage, including: Basement flooring saturated with water Drywall/sheetrock wet Insulation wet Possible defect or damage to the main sump pump I have photographs and video of the incident and damage. I have also contacted my homeowner's insurance company, State Farm, and they advised me to begin emergency mitigation with PuroFirst. That process is currently underway. I have made multiple attempts to contact management at Dauenhauer Plumbing regarding this matter and have not received a return call or meaningful response. Given the seriousness of the damage and the fact that their own plumber acknowledged the emergency sump pump had been installed incorrectly, this lack of response is unacceptable.
