Excellent service from the technician and a good price for the breaker panel installation.

I really like this shop. The first time I went, I was looking for a harp for a vintage lamp bought…read morein Japan with an unusual fitting. Jennifer helped me, and it took a couple of tries, but we found the perfect replacement harp. I then brought them a little bedside lamp I had as a child. It needed some repairs. They quoted a priced and also noted a crack in one plastic piece I hadn't even noticed. They said they'd try to repair that too but if they had to source a replacement part, it might cost a bit more. I agreed. The lamp came back repaired and with a stylish metal piece to replace the broken part. It did cost a couple dollars more, but I am so pleased to have that lamp working and beautiful again. When picking up the the little lamp, I found another table lamp I liked. Their shop is jam-packed with great inventory, many styles and themes otherwise hard to find. I brought the new lamp home, but the shade didn't work in the space. I took the shade back (still in original wrapping) and they sent me home with 3 others we picked out to try. One worked beautifully, so I bought it and they even gave me a credit on the original included lampshade since I returned it. Then today I went back looking for a floor lamp for a tight space. Jennifer helped me again, patiently helping me try out a couple of options in the shop. I chose a sleek brass floor lamp with a stunning black shade. She told me if it didn't work out, I could bring it back and try the other one. It's now in its space, looking so elegant that there's no way it's being returned. This shop has become my go-to for lamp and lamp accessories!

They spent a good deal of time with me - sometimes both at once - to help me reach my decision. While I was there, several other customers came in with what appeared to be lamp repairs, and the shop also has plenty of lamps for sale as well. I ended up purchasing two small modern off-white shades for antique bedside lamps and a really cool clover-shaped tan shade for a living room floor lamp. The prices were fair and in line with what I was expecting to pay so overall I was extremely pleased with the experience and will definitely return with any future lamp-related needs.

We have a home warranty policy with Home Serve, and Jenkins Electric was to be the contractor…read moreassigned to come out and look at our electrical problem. Home Serve said I should hear from Jenkins within 4 hours so I could get an appointment scheduled. Granted, this happened at around 7pm, and I didn't expect an answer until the next day. Called Home Serve back the next morning because it's now nearly noon and still no word. The rep calls Jenkins and says she had to leave a voice mail. She gives me the number and I also leave a voice mail. Then checking here I see this business has a history of not communicating well with its clients. I took a whole day off work to deal with this and nothing's getting done. This is not how you do business, people!

Would not recommend. We had a vacant rental property that needed electrical work done before we…read morecould move tenants in. So getting this scheduled and done extremely quickly was very important. On October 17 I reached out to ask them a few questions about their quote. I sent multiple emails (4 to be exact) and called a few times, and didn't receive a response back from Tyron Jenkins until October 22, which was already 5 full days wasted. I was about to go with someone else, but we saw we would get a military discount, so I decided to continue on with them. I sent another email on October 23 with a few additional questions that I wanted to clarify before scheduling. Again I called multiple times and emailed again on October 25. Still no response. I called later that day and spoke with the receptionist who answered my questions. I raised my concerns that the lack of communication had not been great so far and that I hope this doesn't reflect on him or his work. She reassured me that it would not. Then we talked about scheduling. She said he could start November 5th. Which was a week and a half away. I really didn't want to wait that long but I know contractors have things scheduled and there wasn't much I could do about it. I said let's do November 5th. Asked her about next steps - would I get a confirmation email? What time should we meet him? Etc. She said he'd be in contact to let us know about the meeting time closer to the date. I insisted on her sending us an email in writing that he would start work November 5th because I was starting to get anxious/hesitant at this point. She again sent a confirmation email and apologized about the missed emails/calls. Phew. All was settled... or so I thought. On November 1st, I received the following email from Mr. Jenkins: "Rachel, Thanks for your consideration is us doing your electrical work. However I have run into some employee issues over the last week and will not be able to perform this work. I would rather inform you now and then not be able to perform later. Sorry for any inconveniences this may cause. I appreciate the opportunity to work for you guys. Thanks" Are you kidding me? He didn't even offer a time to reschedule or ANYTHING. And didn't even call us to apologize - just an email basically saying he couldn't do the work anymore. I was furious. I wasted an entire TWO WEEKS... WAITING... my property is vacant and I am losing money without rental income. Now I have to go get quotes all over again and get someone else scheduled! This will delay me by at least another 1-2 weeks!!! I can't believe how much they wasted my time and how unprofessional they were. I should have trusted my gut. It strikes me as odd that he didn't want to reschedule or delay the start date. Mr. Jenkins quote came in the lowest by far. What I THINK HAPPENED is that he realized he underbid the project and wouldn't make enough off of it. So he just decided not to do it at all. I'm extremely unhappy, frustrated, and pissed off at how this was handled. You all cost me at least 3 weeks of time... time in which I am paying for mortgage and holding costs on a property that I NEED TO GET RENTED. Will not work with Jenkins again.
