Unfortunately, this is the ONLY place for car audio/video. Because of this, this company takes advantage of their customers who may not know any better than to be ripped off by this establishment. To be fair, I did not receive service from the owner, but if these employees represent the owner, it truly is a bad place! I went in looking for some information, as well as to test out their service, and expertise, the employees were very unprofessional, and even claimed that their primary product, PowerBass, is low end equipment. They also have J.L Audio, and are authorized distributors of both companies. For 2 6x9 speakers, a 10" subwoofer, and an amplifier installed they quoted me $996 with a military discount the total would have been $967. Seems a little steep, so I researched the models of equipment they offered online when I got home, and for the equipment it would have cost $465 so, without the "discount" you would have paid $531 for labor! I asked for the price breakdown on the receipt, and the gentleman told me he wasn't going to do that. I asked why, and he kindly smiled, and replied, "because, I'm giving you a good deal!" He also told me that if I didn't get the, "deal" today, it might not be offered in the future. If you MUST get your audio/video taken care of in Key West, DON'T. Until they get their customer service together, you are going to be taken advantage of. I went here to hire a professsional to install speakers in my jeep. Micheal the manager installed the speakers. After leaving, my passenger door would not open. I took it back and the manager who installed the speakers took the door apart and noticed he had crunched a wire and staightened it out and made it so the door would open. I thought it was unfortunate but he fixed it right away so I gave him the benifit of the doubt. Two days later, on the same door, my power window went down and wouldnt come back up. I returned and Micheal took it apart and ripped at the protective lining inside the door pulled variuos wires and fumbled around. After realizing he didnt know how to fix the window he said he didnt break the window and that I could not get a refund. I told him I had absolutely no issues with the window before he got into the door to install the speakers. He said I cant proove that he is responsible for the repair of my power window. I asked for the owners name and number and he refused to give it to me.Do not go here! read more

I went to island audio for an install only. I have a 2003 jeep liberty and I wanted to get 6 interior speakers, a head unit and self powered sub installed. I had purchased my gear else where and was planning on doing the install work my self. When I started the job i quickly discovered that this was a larger job that i felt comfortable with. I took the car to Mike after getting a quote over the phone. I went through and explained all the details of the install (which is not easy because of the way the factory had run the original wiring), Mike said this was not a problem and stood by his previous quote. Not only did Mike do a great job in a timely manner, but also worked out a deal with me on a trade for a set of speakers that did not fit the front dash. He provided the correct speakers ( infinity kappas i might add) for an unbeatable price. He also installed them with no further charges. I was so impressed with his integrity and performance that when I realized the sub that I had purchased was inadequate for my standards, I went back to mike to purchase an amplifier for another sub that I had bought. I was unsure of the brand name of the amp he recommended so I went home to do some research. The cost of the amp he offered was well below any price I could find online and all of the reviews were great. I found out through research of my own that he only offers top quality products, even if I am unfamiliar with the brands. Even if this is the only place in the keys to get install work done, Mike does not look at it as such. I would highly recommend his to anyone with a need for stereo purchases or install work.
