To be fair, I did not receive service from the owner, but if these employees represent the owner, it truly is a bad place! I went in looking for some information, as well as to test out their service, and expertise, the employees were very unprofessional, and even claimed that their primary product, PowerBass, is low end equipment. They also have J.L Audio, and are authorized distributors of both companies. For 2 6x9 speakers, a 10" subwoofer, and an amplifier installed they quoted me $996 with a military discount the total would have been $967. Seems a little steep, so I researched the models of equipment they offered online when I got home, and for the equipment it would have cost $465 so, without the "discount" you would have paid $531 for labor! I asked for the price breakdown on the receipt, and the gentleman told me he wasn't going to do that. I asked why, and he kindly smiled, and replied, "because, I'm giving you a good deal!" He also told me that if I didn't get the, "deal" today, it might not be offered in the future. If you MUST get your audio/video taken care of in Key West, DON'T. Until they get their customer service together, you are going to be taken advantage of. I do not like to bash local establishments, but I also don't like people being taken advantage of because they may not know anything except what the, "professionals" have told them!

Disappointed With Follow-Up and Customer Service…read more I hired Illumine Mobile Mechanics LLC to install AMP power step boards on my 2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty. I wanted to support a young business owner and give him an opportunity. Carlos was polite during the scheduling process, and the installation appointment was set for April 29, 2026, at 9:00 AM. The labor charge was $335. My concern is not only the installation itself, but the lack of follow-up after the job. Shortly after the installation, I noticed that the lights for the power steps were not working. I contacted Carlos and let him know. His response was that it was "extremely common" for those lights not to work and that everything had been installed correctly. He said he could come check it, but because I was not going to be home that day, I told him not to make a special trip and to stop by the next time he was in the area. He never followed up or came back to look at the issue. Later, the power steps stopped working properly. One step stayed in the lowered position, while the other would not retract correctly, and the system stopped functioning as it should. When I contacted Carlos and asked if he could take a look, he told me it would require a $95 diagnostic fee. I was disappointed because I had already reported an issue with the installation right after the work was completed, and that issue was never checked. Carlos pointed out that it had been one month and 19 days since the installation, which was accurate. However, the original concern was reported immediately after the install, and there was no follow-through. I have also used Carlos for other work on my Ford F-250, including a difficult radio installation. That job was eventually completed by someone else because it required more specific expertise. I did not hold that against him because I understand some installs can become more complex than expected. However, with the power step boards, my concern is the lack of follow-up and customer service. I believe this is a teachable moment for a young business owner. Skill matters, but follow-through matters just as much. When a customer reports a problem immediately after an installation, the business should make a reasonable effort to inspect the work before charging another diagnostic fee. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Illumine Mobile Mechanics LLC for this type of installation. If you decide to use this business, understand that you may not receive the follow-up or customer support you expect if something goes wrong after the job.

I called on a Saturday…read moreand was able to get a same-day appointment for tint on my two front windows and front strip to match my back windows. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Gigi. The lobby has been rearranged since my last visit and feels much more spacious, with drinks and snacks available for customers. After chatting briefly with Gigi and another customer, my car was ready. The tint is laser cut for precision.
