Knew of Island Auto Detail when they first set up shop many years ago, when they were right next door to where they currently are - and they are still in town and haven't closed up shop. As many car washes and car detailing shops that come and go, this is quite definitely a feat. Based on reviews - there are people who either love the results or completely hate it. Yet, it seems the constant positive is whenever people interact with "Dennis." I knew when he was the one who responded to my e-mail inquiry, I was starting off on the right foot. From the e-mails to the phone calls, pleasant and personable demeanor - and never seemed bothered. Conveniently was able to drop off the vehicle the night before, using their key drop, as they needed it all day for their 'Full Service' package. Now they did have their work cut out for them when it came to detailing this car, as you can see by the pics. This is the wife's daily driver and she used to have apologize before people got in it. LOL. When she picked it up, she was elated and stated that she "couldn't stop smiling." Honestly the pictures don't do it justice, it looks like a brand new car. The only thing that was possibly overlooked was it seems that the headliner wasn't cleaned. Also, moving the shifter it seems there was gunk underneath that could have simply been wiped. But this is minor, especially with what they had to work with in the beginning. Not to mention, Dennis went above and beyond when it came to the wax job. Something I didn't even complain about. Customer service is definitely his forte and he definitely pulls out the stops to make sure the customer is happy. You may pay more than some random you may find on social media, as those randoms don't have to pay building overhead costs. Yet, you will definitely get quality and being able to get your car taken care of as they can detail your vehicle out of the elements, is definitely a plus. read more

They offer a variety of packages at different levels depending on what you can afford and what you need for your vehicle. I have been a repeat customer as every time I leave their business with my car feeling as if it is brand new inside and out. Had a brand new top end Telluride ceramic coated by this company. I was extremely nervous about having the paint messed with at all. They reassured me that they were experienced and cautious. The end result was amazing! There were two tiny spots that didn't pass my critical eye and they were perfectly corrected within an hour of my calling in and driving there. I've brought multiple vehicles here for cleaning and they have done an amazing job. There are two incidents that stand out to me. The first speaks volumes of their work and attention while the second speaks on their customer service. The first time I brought a vehicle here was a Jeep Patriot. At the time, I had a white dog. So the Jeep interior was covered in fur. I literally thought there was no way they would be able to get it out. Especially since I had tried using a pet vacuum prior to bringing it here and made no progress. When I retrieved the Jeep it was almost as if a dog had never been in the vehicle. The second vehicle I brought in was a Honda Ridgeline. I had purchased the Ceramic Coat service from there. The vehicle looked amazing. However, 3 months after getting this done, I hit a deer and needed my entire front bumper replaced. After calling Island Auto Detail to get an estimate of how much just ceramic coating the front bumper would be, the response I received was incredible. The pearl in my paint can easily be seen after the wash and wax and they were even able to get out the red paint scuff I received from an unidentified vehicle in a store parking lot. The Ceramic Coating and detailing that Island Detailing did on my black 2011 Ford Escape brings out the very best of the reasons I bought the vehicle from Jenkins & Wynne 7 years ago. The detailing team has met and exceeded all of my expectations. I've checked all of the seams, cracks and crevices and have found no trace of white often left by waxes. The interior is (seriously) like new with no unpleasant odors and very little wet or damp areas: Just a little on the floor around the back seats. It was definitely worth the money I paid. Island detailing. You have to figure this shop is coming from the Pacific Islands, and being that's where my home town is, you have to understand the weather conditions there... One minute sunny, and another rainy. Its a horror for those that love a good detail. So basically these guys perfected the art. I got a black Titan, and it's been through better times. I just did the express package, I usually go for a full service, but I was cut on time. My black beauty came out sexier than ever! I could only imagine the quality of detailing, with a higher package. I'll be back! Overall, customer service was great! They have a welcoming service member discount as well. Let me start off and say Dennis was willing to work with me on getting my camaro looking right to the best of their ability. After my 1st paint correction/ceramic coat job I found hundreds scratches in my clear which was under the new ceramic coat. There was paint defects from the factory that were brought to my attention by Dennis which was appreciate. So I brought the car back to them and Dennis agreed that the paint correction was rushed and agreed to strip off the ceramic coat and redo my paint correction. Dropped the car off and they had it for a week. They called me and said it was ready for inspection. When I got there I noticed some imperfections still, So they kept working on the car. Yesterday I texted them and asked for the status of the car. They said it was ready for inspection. I get there and it looked great sitting outside in the ambient light. I asked about the ceramic coat and when it could be applied after my touch up paint was applied. Dennis said he already ceramic coated the car. Which was not part of the agreement we shook hands on. Wasn't happy about that part but the car looked good. So I left feeling pretty about the car until I got home in my garage which has 6 LED light bars in the ceiling. There are still a decent amount of scratches in the clear on my rear bumper, in between my hood scoop and I'm sure other places. Needless to say I will take the car to a different shop to strip off the ceramic coat and redo my paint correction on my car that should have been done. I would have settled on just the paint correction and not done the ceramic coat. Hope this helps others. Update. My back rim is now curbed rashed. They refuse to claim responsibility. I wipe my wheels down religiously and would have known. Take photos of your vehicle prior to dropping it off at any body shop. I usually take a photo of the odometer but now I will add something else to the list. read more

Too long of a story to write every detail, but I'll cut to the point. We turned in our vehicle to get it detailed. Three hours later, we get a call asking how to get the key out of the ignition. Fifteen minutes later, they call back and say, "Hey, we didn't do any work on your car but just wanted to let you know that you're engine light was on when we got your car and the lights are all flashing inside..., but we did get your key out. But yeah, we didn't do any work on your car though" Are you serious?! We had to call the police after we confronted them about it. We had the car towed out of there because it didn't work. From the looks of it, they either pulled the key out too roughly and something triggered the engine compartment inside or they did some type of steaming to the car so it burnt the wires inside. The worst part of all this is that they lied to us and accused us of purposely bringing in a bad vehicle to put culpability on them. We couldn't believe what we were hearing. From the sounds of it, they probably don't have liability insurance therefore they were very keen on not taking fault. This is a big no-no if you're taking your car there since any damage done to your vehicle will be taken out on your insurance claim and not the company. Customers beware! read more

Their work is fantastic! Both times we've gone there (and I have another appt. next week!) in the last three years our Tahoe has come out beautifully! We have three large dogs and they do a great job with dog hair removal after we've traveled with them -- not a stone unturned. Everything is spotless and smells great, looks great, etc. For a large SUV, interior and exterior, $150 plus a military discount and you can combine w/ coupons?? I took my 2015 challenger to this place in January or February of 2019 for ceramic coating and a detail. The owner is very bright and personable, a nice gentleman. I dropped the car around 8 am and picked it up around 5 pm. With the sun going down the car looked pretty good and was shiny. The next day I looked at the car and their was dirt in the side view mirrors, Under the fuel compartment lid in the door jams, the car looked ok not great but wasn't the worst job ever but for 500 hundred dollars I expected more, especially when I was told it would be clay bard, paint corrected and the ceramic coating applied. it just didn't feel like I got my 500.00 dollars worth. I called the owner and of course he said bring it back they would correct the issues. well I live in Dover, and the vibe I felt from the experience was negative anyway, I also asked him about how wader should act on the ceramic coating and was told depending on the water it might bead or it might sheet. but I should not have to was the care ever for 5 years and just rinse it off. Well fast forward to August, I washed the car several times in the 6 months and it never came out Shiny. Well on August 21st I had a fender bender and went through insurance for a claim. I told the adjuster about the ceramic coating, he pored water and soap on the care and said he didn't think it was. I showed my recipe and he added it to the claim. I've since checked with other shops and detail places and have not had 1 say they think it was ceramic coated. I'm not saying it wasn't done but I have to really wonder about the quality of product and or work. In 2 weeks ill be looking for a shop to detail my car and reapply the ceramic coating but it wont be Island. read more

Took my 2015 Accra MDX in for some much needed love after a 9hr car ride with a 1yr old and 2 dogs. All I can say is AMAZING!!! This is one of the best details I have ever gotten, the staff was super friendly and professional. They were able to get all of my dogs hair off as well as the mess my daughter had made with milk and her many snacks. Not to mention they buffed out some of the scratches I had on my car that other detail places could not get out! I got the mini detail which was only $60 but my car looks better than it did when I would take it in for a full detail. I will definitely be a frequent customer of theirs! Where do I start?? First, the outside is not the most gracious scene, and there was a mouse inside, but hey! they aren't selling me food. Don't let that drive you away because their work ethic and customer service speaks for itself!! I was looking for a auto detail in the Fort Campbell area, and this shop came across constantly with wonderful reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. Their hours state Mon-Fri, but just this year they started opening on Saturday. (Great because of schedule) When I say they add value to your vehicle?? Chiiillllllleeeeeee!! That is an understatement. I had scratches all over my vehicle from the ice scraper and they managed to get each and every one out. My interior was just like new, they even cleaned and polished my Weathertech mats. And with a two-year old and much time on the road with other children, those things were filthy. I almost cried tears of joy because it was so beautiful and I hadn't seen my car that clean, not even when I bought it brand new off the lot. Please don't try to take the cheap way out, you will get more than what you pay for. It was the best $180 I could have ever spent, and with military discount, no tax. This is the first auto detailing shop I have been to in Clarksville. I was really impressed with the work they did and amazed at how my car looked! I got the most expensive package, out of the many packages offered, because my car was really scratched up. Some of the scratches were deep and couldn't be fixed but overall most of the scratches were corrected. I felt as the service provided was very expedient for the package done on my vehicle because it was finished by noon. The owners of the shop were very courteous! I had driven down and had no one to go down with me, so I had to sit and wait as my husband is in Florida. Due to my wait, I had gotten hungry since I had not had breakfast and had decided to walk to find some food. The wife of the owner of the shop had noticed that I was walking and was so kind to go out of her way and gave me a lift to get some food. Called Dennis last week and took my abused Ram in for him to see. Gave me a great price and told me I didn't need the extra option I thought it would need. I could tell as I saw my truck from the road that they had done a superior job on it. When he showed me the inside I was amazed. No more evidence from the grand kids in the back seat. Customer service and communication was great... But, I'm not convinced they did everything that i paid for... There was a residue on the car when i brought it in which gave the impression of a slightly rough finish to the touch. While the car looked great when i picked it up, i could still feel the texture on the paint. When i finally got the time, i washed and clayed the car myself at home... My clay bar removed the residue without any significant work... Why would my clay bar remove the residue and their clay bar leave it ALL? I can't prove they didn't clay the car, but it leaves me with enough suspicion to not take my car back. Additionally, they used too much tire shine/treatment. Nothing like driving home to find splatters on the side behind all four wheels. First impression, the car looked good, and the place has good reviews. I'm not convinced you get all the services you pay for though. read more

The Inspiration Ceramic Coating package is totally a game changer! It's like a deep, clear, shine that you can reach in to and try to touch the surface of your ride. Protection! It is advertised as lasting 60 months - that's 5 years of basically just washing and drying your car and getting a "freshly waxed" finish. (Or let the rain wash it-cause water streaks and spots are about obsolete.) Or - just take it back to Island Auto Detail and have them wash the car and clean the interior - saving on the Polymer Wax service (sorry IAD-that's how I justified it). It's the show car finish/shine that you've seen and really wished your car had - well, it can be done and IAD is the team to do it! Or what the heck - run it through an automatic car wash a few dozen times and never regret the damage - the micro-swirl scratches, the windshield wiper blade that got snagged by the "brushless" abrasive sandpaper things beating the heck out of your ride. I always like how dirty the wheels are right after an automatic car wash. But hey-$5 well spent right? read more

I saw the great reviews and decided to give them a call. They were very friendly and answered all my questions, so I made an appointment. It took us a little more than 1/2 hour to get there from Fort Campbell, but it was worth it! We took our 2005 mini van that had been subjected to five kids and years of neglect. The inside definitely needed attention, but the wheels were caked with brake dust that was embedded into the metal. The gentleman assured me that he could get them clean, but I had tried and had my doubts. When we went back to pick it up, it shined like new, including the wheels! It looked great inside and out! He told me it took almost as long on the wheels as it did the rest of the van, but said there was no extra charge. You don't hear that very often. I highly recommend them...they are very customer oriented and do a great job!!! read more
