Was looking for a mechanic to swap out my battery terminals as I was unable to do it myself at home. Let me just say that the A&R crew were all so incredibly helpful and kind. Being a woman it's always a toss up bringing my car in to a mechanic and bracing to be "talked down too" about what needs to be done. But not here! A&R respected me, understood that I already knew what I needed done and never tried to upsell me in anything. Their diagnostic check comes with photos showing you exactly what they find and they were so friendly going over everything with me on the phone and discussing what I should do in the future for tune ups without trying to push me into anything today. My battery terminals were replaced and my car was seen and repaired in about a 3 hour turn around! Pricing seems fair, repairs are never cheap and diagnostic prices are on par with dealerships. Absolute f***ing rip off of a place. They wanna charge me $1700 to fix an AC hose that's leaking. When I kindly declined they still are charging me $620 for a diagnostic. Anyone with half a brain knows it doesn't cost over $600 to diagnose a f***ing car. read more

The service was terrible. After having work done involving the throttle body of my engine, they damaged the area inside it. That cost me additional hundreds of dollars. Then after "fixing" that, I was almost completely unable to stop my car because it was trying to accelerate out of my control. They finally realized to disconnect the battery and then reconnect it. That worked. On another occasion I had a 30,000 mile service performed. My receipt did not show that. They were to include a pair of wiper blades with the 30,000 mile service but they did not give me those. The service writer conveniently forgot. This shop is absolutely terrible just like all auto Repair shops in Clarksville. Beware. Try another repair shop. read more

I had loose hose clamps on two hoses going to my heater core. Instead of tightening the hoses (which were new) they stated they needed to change them. They quoted me over $1,200 for the coolant service. They simply tried to rip me off. They tried to screw over an Active Duty Army Officer and they are located so close to post. I don't recommend any of my comrades to ever get their vehicle serviced there. I took my vehicle to another shop and watched them tighten my hose clamps. The leak disappeared and my vehicle was good to go. They didn't charge me a dime. Took maybe a half hour. read more

Safe to say I have been around the block a few times when it comes to being a mechanic. Two tours as an aircraft mechanic in the military, mechanic for an import dealer -- including the vaunted BMWs, then mechanic at an airline before going to college. I have seen many scams and smelled one immediately whilst dealing with A&R. My truck has manual brakes. A new ABS assembly and computer costs a cool 3 grand. Requires more force but for six years I have had no problems, including many panic stops. The quote for alignment was 138 dollars. Took the truck to A&R for an alignment. Got a call a half-hour later from the receptionist saying brake pads are "metal-on-metal" -- totally gone. Oh, really ? I check the brakes thoroughly every month. Said I'll be there in a few -- get the truck up on a lift and I want to see the brake pads and rotors. Got there and the story had changed. The receptionist "didn't understand" what she was told about the brakes. Now the story was the technician couldn't stop the truck while test driving. Oh, really ? Come ride with me in your parking lot and I'll snap your neck with the brakes. Nope. They were probably hoping I'd approve a brake job sight unseen via a phone call. How many would have, given what they were being told ? It's worth a shot for the business, eh ? Anyway, they didn't want to align it because it would be "unsafe" to test drive it in their large parking lot ! You see, their mechanics are young and have never seen manual brakes on a vehicle. It was all like that at one time I can remember. The up-sell didn't. Took the vehicle to Kennedy's Alignment Center and the quote was 80 dollars. As I suspected they found a few defects in the suspension. No prob -- I was expecting that ! Asked if I could see the bad tie-rod end etc and they took me into the shop and I could only agree with the suspension defects they found. Lesson learned -- and money saved. read more

Went in because i was having issues a rear headlight on my Range Rover. Turns out i had some bad bulbs and some things were bent. (Sorry i don't know correct terms) EVERYTHING got fixed very quickly and i wasn't charged because the "the paper work coming out of the printer would cost more than the bulbs." Staff there is very friendly! Free tow service and pick up / drop off is also nice in a pinch. If you can afford dealership prices it is a good place to take your car, but if you need low cost quality repairs you would be better off going elsewhere. we took our 2017 Chevy Colorado there to have an overheating issue fixed. they jumped up and said, "It's your water heater!" excitedly, we proceeded with its replacement. come to find out, that was NOT the issue, and it doesn't even seem like they even replaced the damn thing! I cannot believe my eyes! Then they tried to charge us AGAIN for a "pressure test" to see what was causing the over heating issue. this was the second day, after they had told us "Your truck is ready for pickup!". they were wrong, they lied and I left a review stating my frustration. come to also find out, they messed around with the MAF Sensor and a few other things for revenge of our negative review. these people have NO CLUE what they just started. They think they can with my money like that?! nope nope and NOPE! I have a strong feeling these people are the ones that will "find a random issue", "replace the part" (saying it's bad when it's NOT bad), then turning around and RESELLING the "bad" part to make 2X the profits! In march 2023 I was told that my timing belt needed to be change before the year is out. And If I hear it squeaking to make arrangements to bring it in. On Wednesday, December 20th, 2023 I dropped my vehicle off with the intent on changing the timing belt, water pump, etc. The only light on my vehicle was the air light for the right drivers size tire. The first instance was I was quoted a certain amount and when it was time to pay it increased by $66.00 and the clerk, the tech, assistant did not know what the charges were for. It wasn't until the manager got involved and said there was miscellaneous things that needed to be done to your car so we went ahead and did it and charged you for it. I asked without permission? Or even notification she said yes it was just little stuff so we just do it and charge you after. Whose to say I had that extra money after spending $1200+ on a vehicle. I paid for the work to be done and left with the vehicle. Once I got to the light outside of the company my engine light came on and the car started to stutter uncontrollably. I immediately took it back and told the front desk Kendall that my car was not doing this when I brought it in and now all of a sudden it's doing this. On top of that the squeaking sound that they told me was my belt was still happening. The tech told me there was nothing they can do until Wednesday and they can call me for an appointment time. I told them that's not acceptable and the manager came back and said they can call me on Wednesday, December 27th,2023. At 1pm CST there was no call. So, I called and there was no response. At 2:15pm I called to speak to the manager and was told that she was not available but I can pay for a diagnosis on the vehicle I just paid over $1k to fix. I asked why do I have to pay for something that occurred when my vehicle was in their car. No response. I am out of money and have a vehicle worse then what I gave them. read more

I stopped in to ask about looking at my sons truck. This place was professional and courteous. They offer a shuttle for their customers so they can drop their vehicles off and then get back home, and if that wasn't enough they will come back to your house and pick you back up to come get your car when they are finished. I want to give a shout out to the following : Jennifer who I met the first day, very nice and actually took notes while I explained the issue, then add in Jolene (sorry for miss spelling) was on top the things the next morning, Angie who did took all the info this morning to get things started and then Will who walked me through all of the repairs step by step and let me finish with Jordan, the shuttle driver, very accommodating, courteous and professional. The team at A&R Complete Auto Care did an awesome job getting our 2006 Tahoe back on the road. It needed a number of updates and replacements of some very old parts. They did an amazing job in finding a timely solution for a broken connector for a critical cable that is not even made anymore. My husband does mI have of the work on the Tahoe and these were things that he could not do himself. Due to his knowledge and experience working on the Tahoe, he was able to validate the honesty, high integrity and workmanship of this talented team. We had some travel constraints which were really important to us so it was even more appreciated that they solved the unsolvable so quickly!! Not sure where people are getting "affordable". Maybe if you know nothing about cars? I went there to get something looked at for them to tell me what was wrong, and they did great at doing so, they are nice people but for one I paid 75$ just to be look at and the price they quoted me was basically a 400$ labor cost. I have many men in my life that worked on cars and trucks all their life and this place even told me the things I would need to replace which is a 50$ product but I'm getting quoted 500$ for something I could do myself. I know these technicians get paid to fix things through labor cost but paying 500$ to replace a 50$ product is ridiculous. read more

While driving through Clarksville on my way to Nashville, my vehicle suddenly stopped running which forced me to pull to the side of the road. I took out my phone and searched Yelp for locally/family owned body shops. I read several reviews and called A&R. They immediately began providing great customer service by putting me in touch with a tow service. The tow service arrived in about 30 minutes and loaded my car on the flatbed (with the dogs in the car) and took me to A&R. The guys at A&R provided the best customer service of any auto shop I have ever been to. They prioritized evaluating the cause of my problem and gave me very clear explanations and estimates. Since I had to leave my car (I took the dogs with me) there and get a ride back to Nashville, they were able to take the time they needed to properly evaluate and repair my vehicle. After a week of phone conversations and agreement to the source of the problems (yes, there were many), I was able to pick up my vehicle. Although my car is still fairly new in car terms, it has never run better. Andrew and his staff provided timely and honest communication to help me understand the problems that resulted in the car stalling out on the highway. In addition, I was so happy with all the work they performed, the timeliness and honestly of communication, and the cost, that I will definitely consider bringing my car there from Nashville for future repairs. I just wish I could take a train there. I rarely give anyone the best review possible. However, the staff at A&R Complete Auto Care have earned it! Because of them, I'm rolling like new. read more

Great place. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. I went to the Honda dealership first. They said I needed my oil pan changed, quoted me at $986 and that was the only choice I had. I called A&R based on a 4.5 out of 5 star Google review. They were honest. Suggested I come in for them to look at it free of charge and we can decide from there versus the Honda dealership in town costs $92 just for them to look at it. They didn't try to sell me on any other service, which was great. They have a clean, simple waiting room. Friendly staff and got me out of there in about an hour and a half. A&R was great and reasonably priced for what I saw and super friendly. I just moved here from CA so I have NO idea about anything in Clarksville. Found A&R off Yelp. My wife backed her Jeep over a concrete embankment and had to be towed out. I wanted it checked out to make sure nothing was seriously damaged. A&R said an inspection was 40-80 depending if they had to check fluid lines for leaks. Reasonable. After coming in they suggested an alignment for 70 and the inspection would be free while they have it up doing that. Great idea! Since the wrecker had to drag her out that's probably the better way to go to make sure alignment wasn't jacked up too. Great bunch of guys I talked to and will definitely be coming back for oil changes and what not in the future. Highly recommended. read more

Got my car fully serviced and spent $1500 to make sure my car was trip worthy. Not even a few hours later and my tire light comes on saying my right front tire was low and that another tire had 80psi pressure (supposed to be at 30psi). Took it BACK to them to fix this. Left for to go on vacation and on Saturday tire light comes on again. Sure enough. Tire sensors weren't fixed and they hadn't put enough air in it. We put air in it and decide to deal with it when we get back so we can try to enjoy the rest of my vacation. Today is Tuesday and my drive belt is busted and my car is trying to overheat and my battery light came on. They claimed they check my belts but clearly they didn't. NEVER going back there again! Now our vacation is ruined bc of them!!!! When I get back I'm going to be talking to a lawyer it seems. This is ridiculous! read more

I had my cousin's car repaired at A&R AUTO on fort Campbell. The axle was fucked, the control arm and more. It was ready for pick up so we picked up, as we're driving we heard a noise. We brought it back in to see if it was covered under warranty, but they said no, because it wasn't apart of the first visit. Like how was that not apart of the first repair. If I pay you to fix my car. I want it fixed the first time, I shouldn't have to come back to repair something they missed. It's obvious they didn't test drive it after the repair, because they would have heard the noise. Bottom line is that they are not about their slogan " take care of your car ". read more
