I remember drinking the pear vodka cocktail in 2022 and was so happy to see it on the menu when I returned this year. The vibe is low key, friendly and very comfortable. We snagged some bar space during the event and our bartenders were friendly, welcoming and were very knowledgeable about the different liquors and distillery. Shout out to Tina and all the mixologists. My favorite one is the pear: pear nectar, ginger beer, pea vodka and cinnamon. I also loved the lychee cocktail. If I had ubered, I would have tried more sadly. They don't serve food but you are allowed to order in and there's even a pizza place right across the public entrance. I had hoped for a history lesson, some explanation of their process and how the various liquors are sourced and prepared. Just menus and explanation of the two available tasting flights. Husband chose #2 with whiskeys, bourbons and rums. I chose #1 with vodka, rum and gin selections. I will say his Whitecap old fashioned taster was pretty yummy. I really did like tasting the chocolate and espresso vodka, a mini martini in a thimble! And the Rusted Revolver gin was so floral, the botanicals were like nothing I have tasted before! But when it came time to order a full drink, I didn't want a standard martini. I chose the lemon meringue fizz, with more of that fabulous gin, lemon curd and lemon juice in a frothy concoction. It was divine! Spouse chose a dirty soda, the Dr. Pitney with Dr Pepper, cherry, cream and whiskey. It packed a punch and didn't taste boozy. Whipped cream and a Bordeaux cherry on top! Yum!
