You can sample plenty of different cocktails along with a big helping of hospitality in their tasting room. They also have a big sales area and Bottle Shop with plenty of merch (clothing and food/drink) and bottles of their spirits for sale. Bottled spirits for sale include their Nauti vodka, jalapeño vodka, strawberry lemon basil vodka, two rums, two Bourbons, Rye, and two Whiskeys. Our party of four roamed through their gift shop where I picked up a 375 ml. bottle of Atlantic Bourbon ($45) for a bourbon-loving friend, two bags of beef sticks (@ $6), and an irresistible sounding jar of Orange Creamsicle Peanut Butter ($8). We hit the tasting room before we left, and I enjoyed a very refreshing Nauti Mary ($12) with their Nauti Spirits Vodka and house made Bloody Mary Blend. The rest of our party went the NA route and raved about their QUEEN OF HEARTS ($6) with Sprite, Cherry Syrup, Cherries, and a SPARKLER ($5) with a choice of Cherry, Orange, Pineapple or Ginger with club soda. Rude. That's the best way to sum it up. Went here a few years ago and it was great. This year it all started with asking about a t-shirt size. immediately got the "whatever we have is out.." Terrible retail management. Nothing but small and medium. Manager was big loud and proud in telling me that that is the most common size (the size I asked for...no shit) and that it goes fast. If you are in the Cape May or mid to southern NJ, you have to check out this distillery. Our second year here and we still love it. They have a crushed sea shell driveway after passing fields of flowers, especially sunflowers. Enter into the spacious distillery and check in for your stamp to enter the bar. It was raining so we decided to station doors but they have tents outside and it is very tranquil to stir and sip. Bartenders and staff do not make you wait or stay unquenched. My friends and I go to a lot of distilleries and cocktail bars so we've tried a full spectrum of drinks and understand that many people do prefer a sweeter drink. However we couldn't understand why *every* drink is over-the-top sweet. Even drinks that aren't typically sugary like espresso martinis and old fashioneds. My martini tasted more like cereal milk than coffee. I get that it's a vacation town and a lot of tourists are going to visit here because of its location and lack of other distilleries, but I would suggest having a few lighter drinks to balance out the menu. read more

For any wine-curious Northern Jerseyers thinking about coming down to Cape May, do yourself a favor - bypass the wineries and go straight to the distillery. Nauti redeemed an uneven winery afternoon last Saturday after our crew had grown increasingly jaded by the grape-based offerings nearby, and based on the crowd, we weren't in the minority. The place was packed, which was kind of a positive and a negative. On one hand, we DID have to wait in line for about 10 minutes to get our cocktails, but the line moved very quickly (staffing was ample - when is the last time you could say that post-2020?) and the atmosphere inside and out was conducive to a solid good time. We had just come from a mediocre winery that didn't know how to handle large groups of people, so it was a nice change of pace to see an assembly line of bartenders who didn't skimp on service/quality just because there was an intimidating-looking line out the door (and that line was there from the moment we got there to when we left an hour or two later). Our mixologist/bartender was courteous and efficient - there wasn't any time for pleasantries/small talk - and handled our four-cocktail order with aplomb. I decided almost immediately to go with the Charmer, which was basically an Old-Fashioned with healthy dashes of vanilla and cherry. Delicious in every way. All of the ingredients were perfectly paired, no one item dominating the palate. Cocktail at its finest. In hindsight, I wish we had gotten here three hours earlier and just sipped these bad boys all day long. The weather was in our favor. Most of the day featured an ominous sky Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton would have enjoyed looking up at whilst driving around in a pickup truck on the Oklahoma highway, but the sun came out just as we got here, allowing us to plop down on some Adirondack chairs outside. (Only regret - I left my shades at home.) We also had the distinct pleasure of socializing with a nearby canine chum named Jessie, who was very well-mannered and distinguished. Even better, there was a strategically placed food truck toward the back that had perfect "drunk food" - solid chicken tenders and fries, if memory serves. The only negative - and I didn't take points off for it because it was easy to avoid - was the distillery's decision to place tons of seashells around the premise that absolutely reeked. I actually thought when we got to the entrance that we were near a kennel; it was that kind of smell. That strikes me as a relatively easy fix, even if you're intent on maintaining the nautical theme (and how can you not?) - either have the shells cleaned beforehand, or use something similar/non-smelly to decorate the grounds. Huge recommend - one of our absolute favorites. I'm not totally sold on Cape May as a vacation destination going forward, but this is a pretty strong selling point for the area. read more

They typically have a food truck outside too. I don't typically like draft cocktails but the ones here are great! I found it via Yelp and it was a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends. We were warmly greeted by a staff member who gave us the lay of the land and made us feel welcome. It wasn't long before we'd made cocktail selections, ordered drinks at the bar and were cheersing in the backyard. I tried the Delaware Bay Breeze which was made with vodka, fresh lime juice, pineapple syrup and cranberry. Something very cool about this refreshing beverage is that many of syrups are made on-site at Nauti Spirits Distillery. Nauti Spirits distills vodka, gin, rum and whiskey. They have a store that sells spirits and merchandise and I wish I'd gotten a bottle to go. Yo ho ho. Nauti Spirits is located on a 60 acre farm so there is plenty of room to relax outside and social distance. This seems to be a popular place for special gatherings and the Day Sipper tasting tours stop at Nauti Spirits too. Low-Key | Food-Truck | One Bar Low-Key: The place has great vibes. it is very low-key and you can bring your own snacks. So, definitely bring food. There are 5 different areas: The bar, The back area, the tent, the outdoor space, and the distillery area. Each area holds about 30 people. Therefore, you Food-Truck: There is a food truck with basic bar food behind the facility. it's about a 100-meter walk from the building. The food is good and I highly recommend the fries and chicken tenders. Others in our group had the nachos and highly praised them. One Bar: The only downside is that this place only has 1 bar. Therefore, it takes A LONG time to get a drink. Therefore, when you go to the bar make sure you get two drinks. We had to wait in line for 20-25 minutes each time and there were only 8-10 people in front of us. Pro Tip: The facility is in the middle of nowhere. Therefore, it tends to be an all-day or significant portion of your day's activity. Pro Tip: You should plan to get there early than later because once they are at 60-70% capacity, they are overwhelmed. Pro Tip: if it is raining, expect a lot of people to be there. The vibe here is great. We came on what started to be a rainy day and turned out to be sunny and bright. We were able to secure some chairs outside which was fantastic. We didn't have sunglasses so most of us purchased a hat inside and what a way to end the day. The drinks were really good and there was a food truck on site to get some fried food. We also saw many dogs and parties as well as bachelorette parties happening so there was a mix of things happening. There aren't that many chairs outside so I would bring your own if you have it and it's a nice day. The only down fall is they have broke seashells outside and is omits this horrible odor. read more

But it was made with gin that the Lady at the front desk pointed out doesn't taste like traditional gin but rather tastes like botanicals. I agree that It is far better than a traditional gin taste. I was visiting Cape May for my friend's Bachelorette weekend. We didn't have any plans except for Dinner later that night, so we decided to try this distillery. The grounds are beautiful and it was not crowded at all, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves for a while! The female/blonde bartender was super friendly and nice! We each ordered a flight of three cocktails (referred to as kegtails - on tap!) for only $12! They were all so delicious! I picked the Spring Fling, Shunpike Punch, and Bowline. Spring Fling was gin, lavender, acai, lemon, and bubbles. Shunpike Punch was rum, orange juice, lime juice, and lemon juice. Bowline was gin, orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, and grenadine. The flights are just a tad hard to carry if you have to walk a long distance (my friends and I walked outside to the red picnic tables), but these cocktails were absolutely phenomenal and got us all tipsy!! This is a great little distillery on an adorable farm just outside of Cape May, NJ. They have a large variety of cocktails, both handcrafted & on tap. We enjoyed tasting quite a few with work friends around the fire pit & had a beautiful evening together! It's always fun to check out the outdoor area (you can feed the chickens and they wander around sometimes which is entertaining) & they had live music inside too. The food from the food truck is really good & the people running it are the sweetest! The Nauti Spirits team has always been nice & friendly even when they're quite busy. It was a bit too hot for us to stay outside but plenty of others enjoyed the outdoors! There was a farm stand with strawberries for sale along side the food truck. Sean, the bartender, remained calm through the waves of patrons and took the time to converse with us. He was very knowledgeable about the spirits and helped my husband chose which whiskey to use in his old fashioned.
