Unfortunately, it's rains so we are sitting inside. Our waitress, Alex, was very friendly with some advice on houses for sale in the area. She gave us some great leads to follow. We ordered some drinks like Frozen Berry lemonade and Black tea with apple cinnamon in fresh squeezed lemonade. They come in 16 and 20 oz. glasses. The Berry lemonade was frozen and very delicious. We ordered the Vietnamese Banh Mi with chicken, mixed Berry crepes, and Avocado toast with a fried egg. Everything looked great and tasted awesome. We had a great time talking to the waitress and the guests. We had a wonderful culinary experience. I would recommend that you make reservations on Saturday or Sunday. The inside was full due to the rainy weather. If you're in Wilton you should try the Hilltop, it's good food, good wait service and a family friendly restaurant. Stay safe and eat healthy! In 2024, they opened another brick & mortar location on the Milford Oval, Island Bowls Cafe serving up acai bowls, Hawaiian shaved ice, coffee drinks, lemonades, shakes, breakfast sandwiches, loco moco, and Hawaiian plate lunches. The prices here seem pretty reasonable. The place has limited table seating inside and high top seating and outside patio seating in front of the shop. I stopped by Island Bowls Cafe in Milford over the weekend. When I walked in and began looking over the menu on their touchscreen, I was informed by staff that they were sold out of shaved ice from the day before. I've had their acai bowls which are really good. I decided to order lunch and got the Large Kalua Pork Plate Lunch ($13.25 plus tax), which had slow cooked shredded pork over white rice with macaroni salad and kimchi garnish. The pork had a smoky salty flavor and very soft and tender to eat. The white rice was a bit dry, but still fine with the pork. The creamy macaroni salad was pretty good too. I would come back here during the week and hopefully they will have Hawaiian shaved ice available with my food.
