After being greeted by the photographer and his dog, I looked at all of the photographs with my boyfriend. They are mostly stretched on canvas with some framed prints along with a selection of photos on metal. He also sells his work on cards, individual prints and on a calendar. All of the items on canvas and metal are the same price, based on the size. I purchased one of the photos of Second Beach, WA for $39 pretax. Randall gave it to me with a certificate of authenticity, autographed it, and included a free calendar, free Edmonds guide where the cover pic had been taken by him, and a handout of his classes. Randall offers photography lessons at various on site locations. He proudly told us that he loves to teach and offered to teach us. Not a photographer by any means, so not going there. All of the pictures are nature scenes. We saw some of Utah, Arizona, and Oregon but most of them were taken within Washington. He captures great light and colors in his pictures. He explained that he uses a slow shutter time and doesn't use PhotoShop or alter his pictures in any way. This is a great find. I'll be back!

After a one evening class, I felt like I could take beautiful photos. He uses old school film techniques with digital camera. He gives great feedback and is very available to his students. He helped me feel confident and competent with my camera. I highly recommend his gallery and lessons!

Our wedding was a destination wedding and several accommodations had to be made, but Tristin made the process simple and easy. They have several different costume changes, great sound and entertaining engagement throughout the night. They have choreographed songs and get into the crowd engaging with all the guests. They kept all of our guests on the dance floor all night begging for an encore as they ended. Our guests were even chanting "best band ever". To this day the band is something guests have highlighted from our wedding when they speak of memories from it. I cannot express how amazing they were to work with. Tristin makes sure to take any planning and stress completely off your plate. Overall, the band is truly incredible and will provide the best level of entertainment you will want from a live band at your wedding. They have a great song list and amazing mashups they perform. She was also very responsive to our questions and requests (always answering within 24 hours), and went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. On the day of the wedding, the band was even better than we could have imagined. They had so much energy and enthusiasm, and the dance floor was full from 8:30-11pm. Our guests kept raving about the band and asking us how we found them. Their style of singing mashups felt like a DJ - we never once were bored of a song or felt a lull in the room. One of our guests is a professional musician and echoed how impressed he was - it was clear they took the time to practice the songs and flow ahead of time. We would highly recommend The Afterparty Band to anyone looking for a great wedding band. They are professional, talented, and they really know how to make a party!

Tickets are around $7 per adult, and you get to watch 2 movies. They also have an arcade and a huge food menu, which makes it feel more like a full night out instead of just watching a movie. The food itself is nothing amazing. We got the curly fries and they were a little soggy for our liking, but honestly I'd still order food there again because it feels like part of supporting the place. The whole spot has that small local community feel, and you can tell it's one of those places people keep coming back to for the experience. If you've never been to a drive-in before, this is such a fun one to try. I'd take this over a regular movie theater any day.

The farm is next to a trail so there were joggers passing by. $2.5/lb with minimum 2 lbs. So you need to pick 2lbs worth otherwise you're still charged for $5. There's a small flower and produce shop on the property.

We visited Bailey Family Farm on the very first day of strawberry picking for the year (Jun 1)…read moreright after lunch. They had their fields filled with their earliest variety, Sweet Sunrise, with tons and tons of gigantic berries ready for harvest. When I say tons, I mean it - each plant was flush with berries, and it barely took us 30 minutes to basically fill up our entire flat. They also had a limited number of Shuksan and Rainier strawberries, and some barely ripe Totems available for U Pick. We ended up picking an entire box with Sweet Sunrise and two smaller pints of Shuksan and Rainier. Sweet Sunrise - These are a deep crimson red both inside and out. They are large (averaging around 33g each), but large doesn't necessarily mean better. In this case, the taste is kind of diluted down by the amount of water inside. The most ripe and soft ones are sweet and fragrant, but the vast majority are somewhat diluted in flavor. Even the sourness is dilute. The berries are mostly soft and tender. These are still really great strawberries, but are more muted in flavor compared to some of the smaller varieties. Shuksan - This is the 2nd time I've eaten Shuksans and the 2nd time I've been a little disappointed. These are medium size berries, coming in at around 15.5g each. They are extremely sour, making me pucker with every bite. They are also quite a bit firmer than the other two strawberries, even the darker crimson ones. Quite possibly it's too early in the season for these. I'll have to come back later to try more. These have the most lumps and mutant individuals with tons of multiple fused berries. Rainier - This is probably my 2nd favorite variety of strawberry after Hoods (last year, I ate half a flat every week when these were available). It's really early in the season, so there weren't too many available for us to pick. The ones that we were able to locate fill the mouth with a delightful, strong and potent strawberry fragrance. Unfortunately most are quite a bit on the sour side - the ones in the coming weeks will probably be more sweet. Size is by far the smallest, coming in at around 12g per. The berries are really soft and teeth slice through them like warm butter. They are more acidic and are the only strawberry variety to cause me some stomach issues. We visited again the following Monday and the plants were noticeably skimpier. The leftover Sweet Sunrise were only a third the size of previous, and mostly not as ripe. There were more ripe Shuksans, Totems, Rainiers, and even some Tillamooks, Puget Crimsons, and Mary's Peaks ready. Just some quick notes for these: Tillamook - 24.4g avg, 6.2 brix, varying shape, awful variety, even the super red ones are ridiculously sour. Even beyond the sour, they taste awful. The juice is sour, bitter, nasty, the worst. Puget Crimson - 35.8g avg, 8.2 brix, caps really easily, didn't pick a single strawberry where the cap stayed on. Very conical in shape. Really dark red color. Stronger flavor than tillamook and more sweet, but still quite sour. Expected more flavor for being so dark red. Juice is dark in color, no particular distinguishing characteristics. Mary's Peak - 18.8g avg, 8.4 brix, leaves stay attached, some even have stems. Mostly conical in shape but some wider. Really noticeable seeds, can feel them protruding out of the skin. Very pronounced sweeter but mild flavor, some grassy notes. Juice has some candy element like pixie sticks but more sour. Really love the juice. Sweet Sunrise - 17.2g avg, 7.3 brix, half the size of the ones picked the previous week and not nearly as good. Not as ripe I guess so they don't cap nearly as easily. Deep red color, but more sour than sweet. Shuksan - 17.6g avg, 8 brix, Lumpy strawberries, lots of them fused together into big half moon shapes. Great flavor complexity, nasal, strong strawberry flavor, a little perfumey. More stem quality in the flavor, vegetal not bitter, probably because the pith/stem area stays attached more. Juice normal and bright. I liked these way more than the previous week. Rainier - 12.2g avg, 9.5 brix, most of the ripe ones have holes in them from birds and slugs. Aromatic, sweet but sour. Super perfumey elements. Best in flavor. Juice astringent surprisingly not as sweet as the brix would imply, more acidic instead. I like eating the whole berry more than juiced. Thanks to Bailey Farm having so many varieties, this kind of turned into a little science experiment. What else can I say other than that I will definitely be back next year for more strawberries. As a side note: I really wish farms grew Hood strawberries around here. Maybe we just don't have the right climate and soil for that variety? Those are my favorite by far, with the most sweetness (one batch I measured this year when down in Portland was 16 brix!) and best flavor complexity.

I love all things history and this little museum did not disappoint…read more Having lived in the Seattle area my entire life, I don't know (or remember) too much about WA state history so this was really interesting. With free admission for the month of May, we gave a donation upon entry and started with the 30 minute video about what we would be seeing throughout. Without the video, I would have been clueless as to what we were seeing and who we read about. Make sure you go downstairs to view the Native American artifacts of the area.

The new location is designed from the ground up to house the show pieces and exhibits. Everything from the previous location is there, but nothing is crammed in. Having been a member of two of the squadrons featured there, I really enjoy visiting the exhibits of the two squadrons I served in. But there is a lot more to experience! The only downfall of the new location is that the PBY Catalina hasn't made the journey from Pioneer Way to Ault Field. YET! The management assured me, every time I ask, they are working on it and hope to have it join the rest of the exhibits soon.

Gem of a little museum that really could use your support!…read more THE ROSES: The PBY Memorial Foundation museum is dedicated to the men who flew PBY 'Catalina' flying boats from the nearby Oak Harbor seaplane base (now a municipal marina). For it's small size, it has a very well curated selection of artifacts and interactive displays. Particularly touching is a table set in remembrance of our POW/MIAs. Enthusiastic and well-informed volunteer staff are available to answer questions, but don't overwhelm you. Be sure to check out the PBY-5a Catalina across the street. THE THORNS: These guys really need a bigger facility. THE VERDICT: Superb little museum is a definite 'must visit' for history buffs. Highly recommend!

Hibulb is absolutely worth the time. I am a fan of tribal history and arts, worldwide. There is so much to learn from the past. I greatly appreciate the artistry, with emphasis on the stories and meanings behind each work. Native American arts, especially carvings, are so potent in their story telling. Hibulb did a fantastic job with their many signs, photos, sharing tales and appreciation of nature. I wish they have a museum book in the gift shop. Things not to miss: - Sit in the Longhouse room and watch the video. - Observe the military service of the Native Americans. - Look closely at the two welcome statues; see below the feet of Kaya. - Enjoy the old restored totem poles and the associated signs for their meanings. - Learn about using cedar trees in different ways (without cutting them down) and later see photos that they are passing on the knowledge to the new generations. - Find the touch and feel boards. Based on museum size and scale, 4 Stars. For what the place represents with past, present, and future of the Tulalip tribes, 5 Stars!

If you do then do yourself a favor and check out the Olympic Music Festival. I truly *heart* this musical getaway. I've driven past the signs to the Olympic Music Festival many times in the past on my way to Hood Canal and we've finally stopped by. My regret is that we didn't do this sooner. This is such a wonderful activity to do in the summer time. Pack a picnic, a bottle of wine, some carrots (for the donkeys) and head over to Hood Canal. The experience of listening to beautiful music in the shades of the apple trees surrounded by mountains and open air...HEAVENLY (and I'm not even exaggerating). Beethoven sounded even better when I'm breathing in fresh country air and gazing up at blue sky and mountains...seriously! If I could write poetry, this place would surely be an inspiration. GO! NOW! or the next weekend (open on weekends at 2pm). They're playing all summer until Labor Day.
