This drive-in theater seriously takes me back in time. It kind of feels like the Twilight Drive-In from Riverdale lol, and the whole experience is just way more fun than a regular movie theater. Tickets are around $7 per adult, and you get to watch 2 movies. They also have an arcade and a huge food menu, which makes it feel more like a full night out instead of just watching a movie. The food itself is nothing amazing. We got the curly fries and they were a little soggy for our liking, but honestly I'd still order food there again because it feels like part of supporting the place. The whole spot has that small local community feel, and you can tell it's one of those places people keep coming back to for the experience. If you've never been to a drive-in before, this is such a fun one to try. I'd take this over a regular movie theater any day. read more

My family and I had absolutely wonderful Saturday evening at Blue Fox Drive In Theater to see Lilo & Stitch and The Karate Kid. The staff were all so very courteous, and welcoming. Be sure to order the fries; they are fantastic! The prices are unbelievable and accommodating for everyone. I do recommend being mindful of the time you arrive holidays, a certain movie premieres creates high volume of visitors. Also bring blankets, chairs, cushions, tents, and whatever else makes you as comfortable as possible to enjoy the movie outside the temperature drops but the movie is much more enjoyable bundled up together outside under the clear sky and stars. This was the perfect way to introduce the theater experience to children who's ages are 5, 3, & 1 as they had the opportunity to play at the arcade, ride go karts, and play in the open field area not being restricted to a theater room. One thing I forgot to tell you good people, I drove to the drive-in in a 38,000 pound class a big rig with a double bit of sleeper with a 27 foot box on the back and a 5000 pound liftgate, Of course, I was pretty much empty, But what drive-in can you go to, Or you can take a motorhome, an RV trailer or a big rig? This is truly one of my favorite spots in the state! They are open year round and it is just as magical in the winter as it is in the summer. There are go karts, a bar, an arcade, and all kinds of fun activities. It truly feels like a blast to the past in the best possible way and is full of beautiful nostalgia. The ticket prices are the lowest you will find for a movie, especially for a double feature. We love driving my boyfriends truck and making a bed in the back so that we can watch the movie and stay cozy. People bring all kinds of things- like bean bag chairs and camp chairs. They also have a food stand will all kinds of amazing movie foods. The staff is awesome and supportive and even let you sleep over if you are too sleepy to drive home. Having lived on the island for nearly a year, we finally made it to Blue Fox for our first time last night. I can't emphasize enough what a fun time we had! From the outside, this business combination looks strange and random: an arcade, go karts, a drive-in, a collection of Christmas village sheds currently used as storage, and a concession stand that sells such items as the typical soda and popcorn but also fair-style curly fries, Philly cheese steaks, and even entire pizzas. From the inside, it is a carefully selected array of activities to ensure families are having fun and growing closer while they wait for it to grow dark enough for the movie to begin. Spoke with a buddy who's been coming here for years and his tip was to spend $3 to rent a portable speaker so you don't drain your car battery while listening to audio. Please don't let that throw you off because this place was a lot of fun! It has the movies on the big screen while also having a full ticket arcade, go karts and an modern, over 21 cinema inspired tavern! We started off in the tavern for a drink and snack. The options are typical, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, etc. After talking to the bartender she let us order from the main stand menu and we learned that they make a few things home made and on site. Which had me ordering the Philly Cheesesteak. Great flavor for a WA made cheesesteak but the bread was a little dry. The important part though was that is much better than what you'd get from a typical theater even though it isn't a Tony Luke's cheesesteak! How have I never taken part in a drive-in movie theater? Took the family to Blue Fox in Oak Habor on a Saturday night for a double feature, "Abominable" and "Joker". Where else can a family of 4 go see two new release movies for only $15?!? Ticket pricing is so affordable: 11yrs+ at $5.50 cash or $6 for credit card; kids 5-10yrs old was only $1(cash) or $1.50 (credit) and kids under 5 was FREE!! It was nice to have the kids watch the first showing and then for the second showing they slept in the back while hubby and I got to watch "Joker." Our first time so we were told to go early for a good spot. To be honest, pretty much any spot is a good spot. We brought the pickup truck so we parked a few row back. If anything get there early so you can get your food before the line goes long and you end up in line instead of watching the movie. That would be the only draw back is that the line to the food got long pretty much during the whole movie time. Wish there was a quick or express lane for those who just want to order drinks or pickup some candy instead of having one line for all food and drink order. Over all the facility was clean and the staff kept the food line moving. Bathroom was clean. Some tips for if its your first time: #1: Rent the $2 radio so your car battery doesn't get drained and you lose your sound during the movie. Its SO worth the $2 especially if you are doing the double feature. Thank goodness they had cable jumpers since our truck had to get jumped twice. Apparently that happens a lot. #2: Parents, I know there's no food or drink policy, but I am sure they would allow you to bring pack water bottles or container. The ones they offer at the concession stand is the size of a shot glass. Unless you want to shed out $2 for a small size water bottle or for a $4 large size water bottle. Popcorn always makes my kids thirsty and I end up missing most of the movie waiting in the food line to get them water. #3: Bring blankets/or sleeping bag, pillows, etc for when the sun sets and the cold air comes in. Great family night watching on a big screen underneath the stars. Love seeing the big dipper and all the other constellations in the sky. Support your local drive-in theater!! read more

Wow! I've never been to a drive in before, but this was a wonderful experience. We attended the Florida Georgia Line concert, 10pm show. The confessions were quick and delicious (but expensive). The viewing quality was great and I highly recommend spending the $3 to rent a radio. The sound quality is wonderful. They have a great arcade too! The no outside food/drink is strictly enforced, they drive around on a golf cart. I cannot wait to be back and watch some movies. read more

The rules are stated as you drive in and pay...rear hatches must be roof level..but when you complain about not being able to see due to someone in front of you with a raised hatch, the manager says "that rule was made 30 years ago and the new cars have different hatches" so you need to get there 2 hours early (we went 1 hour early) We offered to trade with the people in front as we didnt have a raised hatch but they refused and the only solution for us was to move 4 rows closer and off to the side...which was not a great viewing area. I would recommend management have a separate area for raised hatches, or take the signs down about raised hatches or enforce the rules...not a fun experience at all. read more

I don't even live sort of close by, but we have made the trip here the last 2 years over the summer. The most recent time, we stayed at Getaway Cabins in Mt. Vernon so we weren't too far away. They have current release movies that the kiddos want to see, lots of variety in the concessions and even if more than a few of the games in the arcade are not working, it's still alot of fun. There also also Go-Karts, but b/c the kids can't drive them yet, we usually skip it. Def check the weather...it has been surprisingly chilly whether it's May or July so bring extra blankets and comfy pillows. And we do try to get there at least 2 hours prior to sunset to make sure we get in. Would hate to drive all the way over and find out it's full. read more

6/28/19 Our son was so excited that "Toy Story 4" was coming on June 21st. I soon realized that he thought it was playing ONLY on the 21st, so we researched some drive-ins and found the Blue Fox so we could surprise him. What a fun place! I thought opening the doors at 4 was too early, but they have a go-kart track and an arcade. I think we got there about 6 and we still got a great spot (on a Friday night). There was plenty to keep our boy busy while we waited. The arcade is cool. I think we spent only about $8 and we won a handful of things. Most kids were winning prizes, so that's fantastic. The snacks were cheap and plentiful. We snacked on hot dogs, popcorn, and Milk Duds. My husband bought this ridiculous tankard of Mountain Dew. I think it has to hold close to a gallon. It's just comical - especially because we live in Minnesota! It's not like we'll be back to take them up on the cheap refills!! :) The best surprise was that they handed out a DIY Forky kit! How fun! When the show started, they had a short film about the family who started the theater and it's clear they know how to cater to families. This place is perfect for the family or date night with your significant other. Not only is Blue Fox Drive-In Theatre a theatre, but they have arcade games and go-karts. The day we went, it was a triple movie showing and it was only $6.50/person! Crazy cheap! And I love how they show recent movies too. The only downfall to this place is they start the movie at sundown. So in the summer as you all know, the sun doesn't go down until 8-8:30PM. Although it was a triple movie night, we only made it through the first movie because it was already so late after it finished. And when it gets closer to winter season, they only have showings on the weekends :/ But on the win-win side, the workers here are all super friendly, the food are huge (especially the curly fries!) and reasonable pricing, and you can rent out radios for $2 to listen to the movie while sitting outside or stay in your car and tune in to their radio station for no charge (they have car battery chargers in case your car dies too lol). Wow! First time ever at a drive in movie theater!! Must say, this was a very neat experience. For a price of $13 (for two people) you can watch two movies in the comfort of your own car. Parking is super easy, all you have to do is park your car between the poles, tune into the right radio channel for the movie audio and boom, set to go. There is a pretty nice concession stand and bathrooms, so no need to worry about that. There are rules listed for the drive in, so make sure to read that before you park! I've missed going to the movies due to COVID and this was an awesome way to get back in the action. We made our reservation in advance and gave our name as we drove in. We got there super early around 5 and had full accustomed everything before the crowds arrived after 6:30. With our Prius, we drove up to the front row in the center and had the perfect spot for us. You can put chairs in front of your car but not on the sides. We decided to rent a radio for three dollars to spare our battery and that worked just fine. We got a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomatoes, a Philly cheesesteak, and a half order of string fries. All of the food was reasonably priced and quite tasty. The half order of fries was enough for the two of us. The full order looks insanely large! The bathrooms were clean and nice. Plenty of soap. The business is set up for good COVID-19 prevention practice, but when it's crowded, everyone kind of bunched a bit closer together in line than they should have. People were wearing masks though. Inside the snack bar, all of the employees were pleasant and nice and masked and taking good care. There is a condiment bar which everyone can touch. That made me slightly nervous even though there is hand sanitizer there. My recommendation is to squirt your condiments into the little cups, set them at your table, and then go into the bathroom and wash your hands thoroughly as you wait for your food to be ready. The popcorn was fresh and tasty. The movie quality was excellent on the screen and the sound was great. It was a lot of fun! The go carts seem really cool, but nobody was socially distancing in line so it didn't seem worth waiting there. There's also a video arcade and there are a few fun games in there. Definitely would come back again. A very fun experience! By the time the second movie was over, I would say over half the cars were gone so it was very easy to exit. read more

My daughter, grandaughters and great, came all the way over here to Snohomish, from Wenatchee, to go to the movies with grampa and I. They drove 2 1/2 hrs. to get here, then they drove another 1 1/2 hrs. to get all of us to the Blue Fox drivein, and THE DRIVE IN WAS FULL!! What a waste of time, that was. The line was clear out to the main road!! We tried to get reservations, and they decided to start charging by the person to get in, so you couldn't reserve. this was the weekend of the 3rd of Oct. when Hocus Pocus and Nightmare before Christmas was playing. i guess we won't be doing this again, unless they take reservations, like they did in August. They have a great selection of foods: box of pizza, curly fries, burgers, popcorn, candy, ice cream - you name it! They also have tons of activities to do prior to the movie so we decided to kill some time by going to the arcade and even go-karting. The arcade was much smaller than I anticipated but I still had a lot of fun regardless. I would recommend coming early (as soon as they open) to avoid any long lines, especially if you want to go go-karting and grab some food before the movie starts. This is for the holiday showing of Wonka and Elf--can't speak to the summer as I haven't been at that time of year. Arrived at 4 pm for a 7 pm start as recommended on their website, which wasn't exactly necessary as we were one of the first ones there and it didn't really start filling in until 5:30/6. Might be different in the summer. Regardless, it was nice to have some time to explore the grounds which included several snack stands, a beer garden, farm animals, fire pits, an arcade, go carts, Christmas trees, and other holiday decorations. We appreciated that they rented out radios for $3 to help preserve your car battery--I've never seen this at a drive in, and for a double feature it comes in clutch. Sound quality was solid. They offered free coffee, hot chocolate, and s'mores kits which was a sweet touch that added to the experience. Loved that we were able to bring our dog too. Bathrooms were very functional and clean with many stalls (they of course get dirtier throughout the night, but that's to be expected with large groups of people and muddy grass). Snacks were reasonably priced--the regular food wasn't the best quality, but I don't think anyone is expecting gourmet at a drive-in. Shout out to the guy making the fresh donuts--worth every penny! A few areas for improvement--management needs to require dogs to be on a leash in the beer garden. They lost our business there because of another customer who refused to control their off-leash golden retriever and thought it was appropriate to make passive aggressive comments when our small dog didn't want to be constantly jumped at. Also, the 30 minutes (not an exaggeration) of previews, ads, cartoons, national anthem, and unnecessarily graphic police recruitment propaganda shown prior to the movie were excessive. Intense fog blew in about 20 mins into Elf and made it impossible to see the screen, so we called it quits and headed home. I couldn't help but think that if they had opened doors at 3, started the movies at 5 or 6 and skipped all the pre-show hoopla, we could've seen both movies and avoided that weather issue. That said, to get to see any mainstream new movie for $6.50 a person these days is insane and this was a cute winter experience, so overall worth the drive! read more
