I received the best pedicure I have ever received today! They took their time, were precise and gave me the razor treatment which I needed for my calluses (it was an extra 5 bucks but totally worth it!). I came in with super worked feet and enjoy a spa pedicure priced very reasonable for living in the city. The lady who performed my pedicure was amazing. Having several ingrown toenail surgeries, she did a great job cleaning up my toes so that I would get anymore in the future. She scrubbed and massaged my feet twice to relax then and get off all of the dead skin! I will be returning here! read more

I've been here a few times just because it's so close to my home but it's no where near as good as my regular salon. Today was worse the normal. I went in to get a fill and it took an hour and half. My nail tech made three of my nails bleed and barely cleaned up the polish. I will not be back after this experience. My nail tech also started doing my nails around 1:45 and a woman came in saying she had a 2 o'clock appointment with the same tech. She didn't get seated until 2:30 and it was with a different technician. read more

This is a great neighborhood place and on the cheap! The wait is hit or miss, you either are sitting there forever or get right in. My major issue is they never have any new polish colors. I love when the different brands come out with new lines and they never have them. The staff is super nice. I love the husband and wife team, so sweet! read more

Found Island nails on Yelp about two months ago. I have only gotten normal manicure/pedicures, but I have always been pleased with the results. I always call ahead to make an appointment, and they always take them even 15 minutes in advance. This way I don't have to worry about a long wait. There are usually only 2-3 people working, so don't bring a crowd. Great place, great nails and it's inexpensive. It looks a little rough around the edges, but definitely give it a try! read more

I love Island Nail! The quality is great and you can't beat the price. I recommend scheduling an appointment, especially on the weekend, unless you mind waiting 45- 1 hour. My mani/pedi always lasts for at least a week...and I am not easy on my nails. read more

Went in for no chip mani and pedi. It took a while but totally worth it. It took time because you actually get a manicure and a pedicure, not just a quick scrub then onto the no chip process like most places do. The place was clean and the staff friendly, but quiet, which is fine with me. If you like to chat up the staff and other patrons (and I don't) then this isn't your spot. Quiet, relaxing, clean, thorough job. And the price, well, I almost felt guilty. Was a good 25% less than other places I have been - so my tech got a healthy tip. 5 stars all the way! read more

Not worth it. Went in on Friday for pedicure and it was off one toe by Sunday-off two more by Monday. Nothing weird, just wearing sandals and tennis shoes with socks. Furious I will have to pay for another pedicure 4 days after blowing $30 at this place. I suggest you stay away. There are a dozen other places within walking distance of this place. read more

Went here for my first time hoping to find a good nail salon in the neighborhood. I called ahead to see if there was an opening for a manicure, which there was, so I went over right away. I think it took me longer to pick a color than it took for her to give me my manicure. I'm really not sure why she was in such a hurry as there were no other customers there. I loved this nail salon until I went in the nail salon on Friday, November 9, 2012 because I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for 1:00 p.m.. I arrived on time but the male owner was still with another client. After about 20 minutes, he completed the service to that client. He then asked me to pick out a color although when I called earlier to schedule the appointment, I informed him that I wanted a french manicure. Next, as I sat in the chair and prepared to have my nails done, he told me he could not do my nails because they were TOO short. SN: He has done my nails in the past (my nails have always been short because I bite them sometimes). Then, he proceeded to TELL me that if he did my nails "I would just come back tomorrow or two days later, complaining that he did not do a good job and give the nail salon a "BAD REVIEW." Keep in mind, (1) he has done my nails in the past no too short and all with no problem and (2) I have never did a "review" bad or good, regarding Island Nail Nail Salon. As I proceeded to tell him that "he had mixed up with someone else" because I have always been satisfied with his nail work, he continued to tell my nails are too short and that he was not going to do them on the strength that he said, "you would come back complaining and he would have to do them over for free." Finally, I was like "wow, really?" So I left. This is my review and experience with the Island Nails Nail Salon and I am still disappointed with Tony for the way he treated me. I am not that person and I hate that he confused me with someone else...a not so pleasant customer...even after I tried to respectfully inform him that he had me mixed up with someone else...yet still refused to provide me service because of it. I know small businesses or any business can refuse a patron service but refusing service because of a mix-up or misidentifying a person is wrong and unfair. read more

They keep the place clean; they offer a solid service and professionally done, good quality mani and pedi for $32 -- any day, anytime. So, it's true you might have to wait if you go when everyone else goes. You may also go to a fancy place where your appointments are kept right on time (or sometimes you'd have to wait anyway) and for the same, or lesser, quality work, you easily pay twice this price. The consumers do have a choice and if you time it well, or can be flexible with your time, this can easily be the best deal in town. read more

My mom and I have been to this location about 3 times. And those 3 times, the service has been terrible. Every time we go, they give us dirty looks. I went today to get my eyebrows done and the woman that did them left them terribly uneven and bad. But I couldn't tell when she showed me because she held the mirror the entire time and very low too. Then she took it away and said "thank you" as she walked away. When I got home, I checked carefully and as I suspected, they looked horrible. I had to grab some scissors and cut very careful and pull some hairs and it was just a big mess. I'm never going back there again, I live a block away and I'd rather go to a location about an hour away where the service is amazing than go to this one. My mother's nails look okay from far away but if you look at the closely, a couple of them are crooked. read more

I have been coming here for years and never have been disappointed. They are always welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. For example, I experienced a coughing spell and the owners lovely daughter got me a bottle of water. I bring my nieces with me when they visit because even young people love their work. Tried this place because it was close to my house and I was in dire need of a gel fill-in. WOW! I cannot remember the last time I loved my nails this much! Huge color selection which was a plus but even better was the time spent on my nails. Even though it was a fill-in the tech took the time to clip my cuticles and spend the time needed to make my nails look beautiful and natural. And it has been a week and they still look perfect!
