Jasmen and Island Petals were recommended to me from a friend of mine who was in my law enforcement wives club. Wow! I will never use another florist again other than Jasmen! Jasmen has been absolutely wonderful everytime I have needed her! And I have called on her many times at the last minute and she has always come through! Many of my requests are for fallen officers widows or other very sensitive clients and she is so kind and thoughtful each and every time! Her bouquets and arrangements are just gorgeous! I am never disappointed. I don't know much about flowers so I let Jasmen decide, I just tell her the circumstance and a little history on each person I am ordering for and she takes it from there. Many of these arrangements end up on our fallen officers gravesites, taken their by their widows and children, and Jasmen knows this and she has made perfect little arrangements for the children to take to their dads gravesite. Island Petals even donated a $75 gift certificate recently to a fundraiser for an injured non-sworn employee for Anaheim Police Department. Fran was a great choice for our wedding flowers. She spent as much time discussing decor as needed, never rushed. She worked within a great budget, and helped provide some vision to a scattered set of options. She somehow kept our flowers that normally wilt very fast, perky all day. My wedding flowers were beyond disappointing and I had a panic attack and nearly cried when I saw them. The arrangements were mostly greenery with so few flowers. I specifically requested peonies and there was not a single one to be found! There were only 2 succulents per large center piece! When i took flowers home and combined flowers from 2-3 center pieces, it somewhat approximated the look I was expecting. Instead of the frothy beachy sunset I got a wilted fall. I cannot blame this on miscommunication because I send Jasmen pictures of the looks I was asking from her. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because there were some flowers and they were done on time. read more

My wedding was a couple weeks ago at Charter Yachts of Newport Beach where I was referred to Island Petals. Jasmen made this process very easy for me and handled everything in a professional and relaxed manner. I truly appreciated her waiting in her shop after hours to wait for me to drop off my grandmother's necklace to add to my bouquet. Jasmen was a pleasure to coordinate with for flowers for my wedding. She was patient with me as I considered different options and was willing to have me purchase items for my centerpieces on my own to cut down on cost. I decided to go with just a few cut flowers (white roses, white spider mum and white hydrangeas) for my centerpiece. Only the hydrangeas were in a vase with water but all the flowers kept pretty well through the night (and they hydrangeas were beautiful for the weeks following too!) I picked a different white flower for each of my bridesmaids for their bouquet. All were beautiful and survived the hot sun. Unfortunately, my bridal bouquet with a mix of all the bridesmaids flowers did not survive so well. I also asked for two alter sprays and was not very specific about what I wanted. I thought they were a little understated, but again, I wasn't very clear or sure what I wanted and was not willing to pay too much for that extra touch. All in all, Island petals did a good job and it was great value for the money! read more

I recently got married in Newport Beach. I worked with Jasmen to do our flowers. I brought her pictures of my girls dresses which where all different colors. I wanted their bouquets to match their dresses. My girls gave me their ideas of what they wanted. I wanted them to all be different and unique. I also did the same thing with my bouquet. I wanted mine to be spectacular. Well I tell you what. She did not disappoint. She did such an amazing job on all the bouquets. My friends are raving about them. I also wanted two bouquets to go into the draped sash over where we were to be standing. I wanted her to incorporate flowers that would match each of my girls dresses. She added sea shells into them as well because that was part of our theme for our wedding. They were absolutely stunning. Thanks Jasmen for adding such beauty to my wedding.
