I interacted mostly with Bethany over phone and text, and rented a lot of equipment for a 1 week stay for my big family. It included both equipment for the hotel as well as a car seat rental arrangement where they met me at the airport. (I was not able to guarantee a car seat directly with the Budget rental car company in advance. Since Vacation Baby Rental offered the same weekly price, taking into account delivery, I just went with it too). Bethany clearly explained things to me at every point in the process, and was wonderful. I would recommend initiating contact using email as I'm unsure if my original form submission from their website worked (I ended up following up via email when I didn't hear back right away). Everything that was delivered was clean and in good shape. It was worth it to have had items on their waitlist because those came through too. For the hotel I stayed at, the crystal clear instructions from Bethany were to pick up and drop off all equipment at check in /checkout at the bellhop station (watch out for any bellhops that may confuse the process by insisting the company will come to your hotel room to collect - just follow whatever Bethany tells you. ) Our family felt the rental expense, while not cheap, was perfectly reasonable for the HUGE convenience of having our family set up more comfortable during our stay. With this company you don't have to worry about something falling through cracks or them not being responsive. Highly recommend.

We were able to get exactly what we needed. We rented a high chair, baby bath tub, a toy basket and the jogging stroller. The stroller was perfect for walks on the beach and the toy basket was amazing. Our daughter loved all the toys in it and there were so many. They were clean and age appropriate and made our trip so enjoyable without us having to pack toys with us. The prices on everything are incredibly reasonable. I have looked at similar rentals on other trips we have gone on and I can't believe how inexpensive Vacation Baby Rental is compared to others. The quality and cleanliness of all the products we received was wonderful. They called us to set up a drop off time the day before the rental and were able to leave all of the equipment in our condo before we arrived. Pick-up was easy and we didn't have to do anything. Payment was easy over the phone and every staff member we interacted with was kind, helpful and professional. We are going back to Fort Myers Beach next week and have already made a reservation to rent from them again. I would HIGHLY recommend using Vacation Baby Rental. It is worth every penny and we could not be more satisfied with the service we received.

I was less than impressed with our whole experience. We booked a golf cart for the weekend ahead of our stay, and only got the confirmation email of our payment and nothing more. Not any type of instructions on when or how to get the golf cart, when their website says they will deliver it and we requested we wanted it delivered when we made the reservation.. So we call that morning when it's open and they say to come pick it up- still never any communication more than that about our whole reservation. If we hadn't called I'm not sure they ever would have followed up with us. Then, we go to pick it up and probably get one of the crappiest golf carts I've ever used lol. And I was a golfer so I've used many a golf cart- this one struggled to even go like 8mph. We also saw other golf carts rented from another business on the island that were multitudes nicer than the one we got. And I wouldn't have a huge problem with a low quality golf cart except we paired nearly $200 to have it for a little over a day. That's kind of nuts, even for a tourist island. All in all it was just disappointing and a pain to use YOLO for a rental service. If I come back to the island I'd use a different rental company.

In the past the customer service has been terrible, like really bad, but this last visit, it was very different. There were two ladies working in the store, and both welcomed us and said hello, asked if we needed help. Much improved! This is the store you go to buy sea shells, that's it! They have a few tee-shirts and hats but you come here to buy a shell or two or 10. There are probably thousands of different shells, from tiny shells to larger shells, some are pick yourself and some are behind a case. There are also decorative shells and very rare shells that sell for over $100. I do think you should stop here for shells, I also think they are expensive in ways. I am not sure where they purchase their shells but some that are super tiny, can run over $1.50 a shell. My wife bought one that was $2.00 and was smaller than a dime. But I guess it might be rare. I think most of these shells, especially the small ones should be 25 cents. My wife and her family like to do crafting so having a large mix variety of shells would also be beneficial. Overall this is your spot to go for sea shells. Plain and simple. It is the best spot in my opinion, there are a few stores around the island that sells shells, but Sea Shells has by far the biggest selection!

This past year though, the service was so much better, it actually made a great shopping experience. There was a younger lady and an older lady, but both were welcoming, greeted us, asked if we needed help and were just friendly. It was such a great improvement! This is your one stop shop for buying shells. All those seashells you want but cannot find, this is where you come. They have thousands of different shells, from tiny shells to larger shells. They also have decorative shells that either have been made into a figurine or painted. We always buy a couple unique looking ones. Sanibel and Captiva are known for their shelling but some of these you just never find, or at least we have never found. My only issue still is with the price. Some of the tiniest shells cost so much money! A tiny starfish the size of quarter might run you $1.50 or more. The prices just seem high. I would expect the tiny ones to be around 25 cents, but I think the cheapest one is 50 cents. I don't know where they get their shells from, but I do think its expensive. I also wish they had a big bag of random shells put together. I didn't really see that and you have so many options, it would be nice. Picking one tiny shell at a time can be a hassle and costs add up quickly. Overall this is your spot to go for sea shells, if there is something you really want, they have it here. A lot of unique shells, even some rare shells. I would highly recommend stopping here now that the customer service has improved!
