We got a debrief about why the Mayfield Manor was haunted (don't worry, I won't give it away) then were led into the scenario. It was very personal and do admit I jumped a few times. What made it a 5-star experience was that it was literally only my girlfriend and I on the ~15min or so walk through the haunted manor so the mad doctor made it really personal as he confronted us through different rooms in the manor. I would assume there are usually larger groups that go through so it wouldn't usually feel so private. I honestly felt like it was my own personal play that I got to experience without anyone else in the audience really up close. Definitely an experience to remember and one I would recommend to anyone going to Galveston for a short and unique thing to do for a great price.

They have free parking, and it was an easy walk to the beach. The beach itself wasn't crowded and the only thing to consider would be the restrooms. But it turns out you can on the further side. You have to cross the narrow wooden bridge to get to that side. Any car can go from jeeps to Teslas to small sedans. It's a nice place to bring snacks and tailgate. I hear usually the water is pretty dirty but it seemed okay this time.
