    Another happy day on vacation!!

Grandpa Dan loved the selection of the fresh sea food and friendly staff!!!!! So convenient from our fishing trip we booked down the street.

    Huge!

August 29, 2020 2:15pm Never understood why people stand in line for Katies (next door) when this locally owned family business is just as good?!! Expensive just like Katie's, soo...? colossal shrimp 2.5 lbs $35.50 (see price on sign) Nothing cheap/reasonable in Galveston! My go to place, Galveston Shrimp company (Harborside) wasn't open today...they're always a tad cheaper. FYI SUPPORT LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS

We visited earlier in the week, picked up head on shrimp, took back to our vacation spot and had a shrimp boil. The shrimp we got here was absolutely delicious! Most flavorful tender and perfect shrimp! Mouthwatering! We were so impressed we made another special trip here today during our vacation to grab more head on shrimp. We had another boil tonight to fill our bellies with amazing shrimp and enough shrimp to carry home for another boil later on. Prices were great, staff very helpful and kind. Shrimp had just been caught and were just delicious! The guy working with us let us watch the harbor birds eat the parts they throw back in the water, was fun and entertaining. The head on shrimp were a mix of colossal and jumbo shrimp, they were huge!

Great place. Very knowledge about their seafood. Shares cooking and recipe tips. Love the stories he told about his life and doing this kind of work. No fluff but good selections and prices. Got some crab claws too and was delicious. Hard working people!

The freshest seafood in the Texas. The fish comes right of the boat each morning and placed on ice ready for customers to come and get it. The place is small as it can only hold about 5-8 customers at a time, but it is pretty quick once you get in and get your fish. Parking is also limited, but there is some free parking along the pier and in the lot on the other side of the train tracks. This place is located right next to Katies, so the prices are basically the same. They do offer fish cleaning a fish cleaning service for anyone that was out on any of the fishing charters.

Great fresh seafood. The people are super nice and will let you feed the gulls. We got a few pounds of head on shrimp and blue crab for a boil. Great! Recommend to anyone looking for fresh seafood and show the kids something they have never seen.

This is as legit as it gets. Two old guys scooping seafood fresh caught from the gulf. One smoking and one in white rubber boots. Both friendly and very knowledgeable. Bought two pounds of shrimp and it was the best I've ever had. Went back the next day and bought four more pounds to take home. Take cash and go see these guys for some fresh seafood from the gulf.

We got to witness the workers in the back bring in fresh Red Snappers directly from the boat into the store. It feels good knowing we are buying and supporting local. I'm already planning to become a regular despite the 90 minute drive. I bought three types of fish, two of each: Red Snapper, Striped Bass, and Flounder. I requested that they filet the Red Snappers, while the other four were left to be just cleaned (scaled, cut, and rinsed). It was well packaged. They even put ice in the bag for my long trip back. Excellent, excellent, excellent service. Next time a long with fresh fish, I will get blue crab and shrimp. Note: They are right around the corner from Katie's Seafood House.

The parking could get challenging. The view is nice especially if you get to sit outside. I tried the SMOKED OYSTERS KATIE It has a Mesquite smoked & grilled with jumbo lump crab, barbecue butter and bbq spices. It had bread on top of it too. The bread was hard and just was not for me. The oysters did have a different type of flavor to it. I can't explain the flavor it just didn't taste appealing to me. I also tried the GO TEXAN GULF SHRIMP RODEO For $46. It had Texas size shrimp feast of: jumbo grilled shrimp, blackened shrimp Veracruz & rice, rispy shrimp frogs, fried shrimp on fries, & Mexican shrimp cocktail. The jumbo shrimp was my favorite out of the whole thing. It was seasoned and had a spicy kick to it. The Mexican shrimp cocktail was strong on the tomato flavor. It had a bunch of shrimp mixed up in it along with some shrimp on the glass. This dish was not for me. It was a little spicy but overall I guess the tomato was too strong for me. I think people who enjoy something like michelada or bloody Mary's might like this. The shrimp that was on the skewer tasted a little burnt from the grill so it had that char taste.
