I bought individually wrapped Lemon Heads and small Chick-O Sticks last night. I found the Lemon Heads to be runny in their packages and the Chick-O-Sticks were chewy, not crunchy. I returned them today to the young girls behind the counter. One said she knew the Lemon Heads are old. Said the Chick-O-Sticks were new. I am a local and concerned that our tourist who visit the shop may buy from Island Sweets and never return with negative feedback. Didn't ask for nor did the kids offer a refund. Just laughed when I said I would not patronize the place again.Just wanted to provide my feedback. Problem may be a lack of adult management in that shop. read more

I think they just changed owners because we were told we were their first ever customers and they were clearly just figuring out their rhythm and doing a great job! Definitely recommend for coffee. My friend and I stopped in for ice cream after walking at Big Lagoon state park. The place was packed with customers. The line did move quickly tho. They had a wide array of ice creams and several cone options. My ice cream was very good. We snagged a table by the door and enjoyed our ice cream inside so it didn't melt too quickly outside. read more

I never leave reviews but as an ice cream lover, I need to warn my fellow ice cream lovers that this place is neither worth your time and money, nor is it worth the bathroom trips you may experience after. It's much too expensive for the smallest scoop of ice cream, and if you order a waffle bowl, it's $4 extra on top of what you already ordered. The ice cream should fill the bowl when you ask for one scoop, as everyone knows, but you can barely see it. To top it off, the place smells like cleaning supplies and the staff was indifferent to us. Overall really disappointing, please avoid this place. I gave it two stars because the ice cream tasted fine, but again gave me and my sister tummy issues there was an extremely limited selection of ice cream. read more

I LOVE this place. I'm not even an ice cream person and after my fist visit last summer I go ever time we visit Perdido (which is a lot!). The ice cream is amazing. Have never had the coffee. Brownies are soooo good too. I read one review about poor customer service... that must have been a while back because the employees are always friendly and helpful when we go. I'm one of those pain-in-the-rear customers that can never decide and the employees are super patient with me. I read another review that said the store was hard to find and gave 1 star because of it... This store is in the Jellyfish restaurant shopping center in Perdido Key on the bottom floor around the corner... I think giving a one star review for being hard-to-find is harsh. The reviewer could have called when they couldn't find it to get directions. Thumbs up!!! read more

Hersheys ice cream, 24 flavors. Didn't try the coffee. Pleasant service but she did not necessarily seemed to be pleased to be serving people. Just one person working so I imagine it gets busy. This small ice cream spot is a happening place in Perdido Key. Quaint, little more than a few chairs and a great selection of ice creams, shakes, smoothies and coffee blends - but the flavors were great and it's likely you're on vacation so the calories don't count! My family all had ice cream and enjoyed it - not much more to say about that. I had a large cookie dough shake and it was HUGE and amazing. It's a great place, a little pricey but it's a tourist spot so nothing out of the ordinary. We will return! read more

I was concerned about coming here because of some of the reviews about the staff. Let me say, the young ladies that were working were delightful! They offered samples with a smile on their faces. We had friendly conversation. The ice cream flavors were great. I would definitely go back here again. The only downfall was pricing but that's to be expected in a tourist place. After looking around on Yelp for a local coffee shop we found this place. We ordered a small Iced coffee and small Iced Latte. They have a very nice espresso machine however when she made my "Latte" she stared it would be a few mins as the pot of coffee is brewing. Maybe they have a different take on what a latte is however they should reconsider. It was the worst flavor coffee we have tasted and was very bitter. The plain iced coffee was just hot coffee out of the pot poured over ice. As a result all the ice had melted and it was a watered down mess. Do not go here for coffee as you can get better coffee at a gas station. read more

Not really impressed with this place. I went for an after coffee & it's more of an ice cream/dessert place rather than coffee. I got an iced caramel macchiato & it was super sweet! I definitely wasn't happy with it. My daughter got the same thing but she got her ice blended & it tasted way better. My daughter & I ended up swapping drinks. The customer service was great. This is an amazing place. I took a walk at 7 am to get my wife an iced latte and did not realize they did not open until 8. However, the owner walked out and said for me to come on in and she would make one. This is truly above and beyond service and not something you see in almost any business today. We got here wanting coffee after a day at the beach and their OPEN sign was on but the doors were locked. I looked up the hours for them is they are 8am-10pm. We then walked by again and there was a woman in there getting her stuff together and locking up. I just think it's weird when they are supposed to be open. if you wanna find the worst ice cream shop employees, look no further. these two women had terrible attitudes. they talked openly about their personal lives and were cussing while children were in there. they also talked about how much money they've made in tips and that's in the drawer. what if i was a robber?? like i'm not but it's inappropriate to talk about. now onto the ice cream. the selection was not that great and the scoops were horrendous. i paid $5 for five bites of ice cream. not worth it at all. p.s. i'm shocked they made ANY tips with those attitudes. read more

Went middle of day during the week, no one else in store. Young lady behind counter was not friendly. I tried to inquire about baked goods pricing and she acted put out because she had to look them up. Then when I asked about ice cream flavors and which made better malts, her answer was that the same ice cream is in the malts so it's the same. It was just me and my 6 month old child, I then asked for one scoop of two different flavors wrongfully assuming she knew it was one order and I'd just get charged for a large ice cream. Nope ! I walk over to the register and she proceeds to put one scoop in 2 different cups and charges me for 2 small orders. The ice cream is already over priced, then I feel like I got charged extra. But accepted and went on. I paid and then purposefully hit print receipt. There's a menu choice, she knew I chose print. It prints off and she immediately crumbles it and throws it away. What ?! I save receipts for rewards scanning and when I'm out of town in case of any issues. She had no right. Disappointing experience here this morning. Went over for some food at breakfast time, only to be told "yeah, I don't know what's going on, I think the guy who does food is sick or something." Hmmm... This seems weird to me as it looks like someone attached to the Island Sweets has really been trying to boost their food business on Yelp with a number of pictures and such... AND, you can even make reservations there on Yelp-- for what?!? All this being said, the drip coffee we ended up getting was tasty and the young lady working there was pleasant.
