I hate to leave bad reviews. Especially here because I love this place. I am local and have eaten here many times. I ordered a soft shell crab on Gambinos bread. I got a postage stamp sized, little baby crab on texas toast. With iced tea the bill was $23.96. I told Sharon that I would be embarrassed to serve my customers such a sad looking plate. She deducted $4.00. See attached.

We discovered an incredible restaurant in Perdido Key that was perfect for a Sunday dinner with family, offering exceptional service, delicious food, and lovely music that made our evening truly special.

great lunch today with the fresh catch of triple tail for the win! my downside was my order of salad. the greens were wilted and just not appetizing but the fish served a top was great. he also ordered the triple tail and said it was so fresh and tasty. danielle was our server and was so attentive. the interior isn't much to look at, just an old outdated building . the food and service is the draw for return customers!

Happy to point out that The Point is still 100% on point after all these years of Point dining (some 35 or so years for us now). Same familiar and comfortable ambiance; same friendly service (the lovely and personable Taylor today); and the same great fried mullet as always (which is what we drive from Pensacola for). We enjoyed a dozen of the LA oysters which today boasted a perfect brine followed by a cup of the hearty gumbo. And then... the piéce de résistance, fried mullet. We order a whole mullet each a la carte with no sides. $8 per mullet. We can make all the sides we love at home. When we're here in PNS/Perdido Key we want mullet , just mullet, without any side distractions, LOL. As I mentioned we did try the gumbo today as I'm on a gumbo reconnoiter, research and recipe mission this year. It's pretty darn good here. I would love to see an even darker roux, but it's plenty flavorful here. Our mullet, though not large, were perfectly breaded, seasoned, and fried. So enjoyable. Mullet nirvana. One of life's great pleasures here on God's great earth is restaurants like The Point which stand the test of time because of their commitment to the culinary craft, providing not only the pleasure of great food but as well of dining experiences that span and connect successive generations of family and friends. To wit see my Ray Smith story in a previous review. Included here is a pick of me and that bass player, Ray Smith with Bubba and Them from when we reconnected a couple years ago. Still playing at The Point.

My wife and I arrive for an early dinner. There were only a couple of tables seated. We were ushered to a Table in the corner that was dark and cold. We did not want to sit there so we got up and moved to the bar. Our waitress who seated us took care of us at the bar. We opened with adult beverages and ordered our meals. My wife, a hamburger with blue cheese and I there small platter with the fresh catch of the day Blackened, cheesy grits, and fresh peas. Our food came out relatively quickly and we started our meal. It was at that point that we saw a couple of things that soured our appetite a bit. On our way out, I shared a couple of pictures to the man who appeared to be the manager that we observed from our vantage point at the bar. We hope they take care of them. We can't give anything higher than a three due to that. Hopefully, if we visit again, we'll see those issues taken care of.

Food is good but not great. The hush puppies are the best I have ever had but the fried mullet and the shrimp po boy were ok. Service was great, our waitress Taylor was very attentive and nice.

Coming from out of town and looking to have a local feel atmosphere, this place did not disappoint!!! I cannot say enough great things, the service was excellent and our server was efficient and friendly even though her tables were packed. The food was great, I had the sampler as my meal with alligator, calamari, and fried pickles and my friend has the blackened shrimp po boy, both of which were delicious, finished with key lime pie and fried cheesecake everything was so amazing including the woman singing and the gentleman playing alongside her.

Incredible hole in the wall with great food, prices, and live music! We will absolutely be coming back. They have the best prices on crab claws! One of our favorite spots in the area.

I can't say enough about our service. It was just phenomenal. We were seated right away and it was pointed out to us that there were happy hour drinks, which we were thrilled about. This will now become one of our destinations because there's so many great places to eat in the area. So glad we finally stopped in. Thank you to the jellyfish for a phenomenal experience

The biggest surprise was being charged $41 for a 1/2-pound order of basic crab claws as an appetizer. When we politely asked about the price because it seemed unusually high, instead of receiving a simple explanation, we felt we were treated disrespectfully. The response came across as dismissive, with comments that made us feel looked down upon for asking about our bill. Between the average food, unfriendly service, and what we felt were excessive prices, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

This place can lend itself to families or parties because there's plenty to do while you're waiting on your food or just sitting around drinking a cold beer. The atmosphere is better than the Florabama and cleaner. I got the grouper sandwich, a healthy portion and a great taste. Since I'm over critical of my food, I will say that they could throw a few more garnishes like lettuce, tomato, and onion. Don't be scared folks put it on there if we don't want it, we'll take it off. Service is really good at the bar and at the table. I'd go back to this place either on foot or by boat, if you haven't been, it's certainly worth a go. With all the TVs inside, this could be your false spot for Saturday college football.

It's like they sat in a cooler all day and then were served up. Flavor was mid but was reheated after it was cooked, so that is not good. But they should have known this, right? 2) Grilled Chicken Tenders: Not a lick of seasoning, tasted like boiled chicken with no flavor. 3) Pork Belly Tacos: Got two tacos, one had pretty bad pork belly slices and the other, well, was empty. We decided to come here based on the reviews of other Yelpers and it did not let us down! The atmosphere is really cool, and I loved looking around at all the dollar bills left behind by other diners over the years. We ordered the Hub Sampler so we got to try a little bit of every classic fried item on the menu. It included fried mushrooms, pickles, mozzarella, and then corn fritters. It was great and had something for everyone! Each of us ordered a sandwich and then one chef salad to split. Because we were also eating a sandwich, the salad was big enough for 4 people to share. It was really big for an entree salad! Everything was good and fresh. My husband and I split The Main Street with potato salad. It's a yummy take on a club sandwich. The standout of the entire meal though was the potato salad. It is a must try.
