The teas are ok but the bar is very dirty with dust and dog hair all over and the bathrooms don't get cleaned.

Plenty of parking nearby, whether street, an empty field, or a lot around the corner. The pizza vendor near the front was our first stop and it was pretty damn tasty! Lots of seating and tables for people to sit and enjoy the music, plus a bar full of craft beers. Due to my bad knee, this is where I ended up sitting and the view was great. My bartender Tom was fast, efficient, friendly, and guided me toward a new sour I'd never tried before but loved.

It was a little North of us, so we made a weekend of it. We got to the venue a little early. It was a quick entry. Even though we were early it was a older crowd so alot of smart people were early too and grabbed the assortment of chairs. But it gave us a chance to wander a round a little bit. Its a great spot, it really feels like you're in a buddy's back yard. We got our drinks and a pretty good spot on the let side. The band was solid, and the acoustics of the place didn't hurt the sound at all. It was a nice summer night and both bands killed it. The price was right too, from the entry to the drinks. Add in a cool name and you got a place that we will come up to again for a solid band.

A big thatched roof protected everyone from sun and rain. There were plenty of tables in the sand, as well as in the hut. Our server, Ellie, was delightful. She made good suggestions, handled special requests perfectly and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Most bands playing at pubs and bars share one trait - they are always WAY too loud. Not the Samantha Russell Band. She has a powerhouse voice and her band were really good (albeit just a bit loud). The food was surprisingly good. The "special" pulled pork bowl was big and flavorful. The Caribbean Salad with Shrimp was fresh and tasty, lightly dressed with a nice portion of grilled shrimp. My Sweet Cajun Chicken Sandwich was outstanding. The mild barbecue sauce balanced the Cajun seasonings, the chicken was perfectly cooked and the Pretzel Bun just right. The drinks were nice; the Island Time was flavorful and the Whole Lotta Rum Bucket massive(and refreshing). Oversell we had a great time and will be back.

Fortunately, the Square Grouper Tiki Bar was just a few steps away from where we boarded the boat. We split an order of coconut shrimp with sweet-and-sour sauce, along with a "Chubby Cuban" sandwich (I can relate ). The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the Cuban was well made and satisfying. The fresh-hot fries were crispy and a perfect pairing with a tasty post-dive meal. To complete the recovery process, we washed it all down with a couple of ice-cold bottled beers while soaking up the laid-back waterfront atmosphere and some live music. Friendly service, good food, cold drinks, and an ideal location for divers, anglers, and anyone looking to enjoy a little slice of Jupiter. By the time we left, we were refreshed, recharged, and ready for our next adventure... A nap. Can't wait to come back!

For our entrees, I had the seafood platter, my bride had the shrimp scampi. Finally for dessert we shared a slice of the caramel cheesecake. THE ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant is on the water with bar seating and white cloth table dining in several rooms. If you're looking for seaside dining Pirates Cove will suite you fine. THE FOOD: Our appetizers... My French onion soup was made like a traditional French onion soup with plenty of melted cheese and oodles of onions. There were plenty of mussels bathed in a delicious white wine and butter base for my brides mussels appetizer. Our entrees... My seafood platter featured a small serving of white fish, which was nice and juicy, two small stuffed shrimp, which were quite tasty, two scallops made properly (not under cooked and slimy or overcooked and rubbery). My brides shrimp scampi featured 5 small shrimp over a bed of linguine. The dish was well made with hints of garlic and butter in the balanced cream sauce. The dessert: Our caramel cheesecake dessert was creamy and rich. THE SERVICE: It's always a challenge for a server to serve large parties, but our server did great. Delivered our drinks in a timely fashion watched over us for any needed refills and clearly explained any questions we had. THE BOTTOM LINE: As always with my reviews, the "customer so what" would I return is complicated for the Pirates Cove. My answer... probably not. Why not if the food was prepared properly, the ambiance was fitting for a seafood restaurant and the service was fine? The answer lies in serving size, price and add on charges. I don't mind paying premium prices for a premium meal but Pirates Cove charged $40 for a seafood platter that should more realistically be called a seafood sampling. At $36 My wife's shrimp scampi should have featured large shrimp instead of the small shrimp she received. And, finally, the add on prices which included a 3% service charge and a whopping 21% tip. I don't mind tipping heavily for good service and our server would have probably gotten 25% if it was my choice. However, I HATE having a restaurant dictate what I'll tip! I understand mandatory tipping for a large party but I've never seen it set at 21%! As for the service charge, it was placed on every bill whether you paid with a credit card or not. One of my guests asked if that was a credit card fee (which I hate as well) and was told if he paid cash, our servers would take that fee off. How many people didn't know enough to ask that question, and end up paying that fee when paying with cash?? I hate underhanded trickery like that and discourage it by not returning. In summary you'll have to ask yourself before dining at Pirates Cove, is the food, ambiance and service quality worth the rest? If it is, enjoy. As for me, I'll skip it. There are too many other great seafood places that will provide quality dining, great service and atmosphere without the unwelcome luggage included.

The outdoor patio is where the magic happens. Surrounded by palm trees and shaded by tiki-style huts, it's got serious island biker vibes. Live bands rock the stage and fill the space with energy that makes you wanna stay all day (and night). Inside, it's all vintage Florida dive-bar charm--pool tables, classic rock on the walls, and locals who know how to party. I grabbed a cold brew, some sticky BBQ wings that were finger-licking good, and shared a Hawaiian pizza that surprised me in the best way--crispy crust, sweet pineapple, and just the right amount of cheese. Parking can get tight when the bikes roll in deep, but that just adds to the atmosphere. Earl's is the kind of place where locals mix with tourists, and everyone's there for a good time. Highly recommend if you're in Sebastian and want food, music, and Florida biker bar character all in one stop.
