This shaved ice place is a must stop in Waikiki! It's located at the bottom level of a shopping center it's small but has great variety! Expect to wait for your order for an awhile as service is a bit slow because there is only two employees and lots of people flock to this place due to its popularity. Your order and pay at kiosk which also takes time. If you order the right items it is refreshing and delicious. If you don't order right it will be a complete fail I learned this when I customized my order and my friend order from menu directly hers was much better!

Waiting in line for this and got the Hawaiian rainbow shave ice. The line was long and it was worth the wait. The store is actually a small one, but it is literally next to the street. You won't miss it and most of the time there is a line. On a sunny day, this is a perfect treat to enjoy.

Must try if you are in Waikiki. It was delicious! Huge line but it's worth it. Great casual location and I'll definitely be back if in the area or on the next vacation.

Stopped by here on a Tuesday night after getting dinner in Waikiki. The line was halfway down the block so figured it must be pretty good, and boy it was!! Went right for the first thing on their menu--The Hawaiian Rainbow--and it was stellar. Hawaiian shaved ice is truly a much different experience than what we have on the mainland. It's refreshing and creamy and as the flavors blend you start to get a variety of tastes. Wanted to get another before we left but didn't find the time. I'll hope to have one again on my next trip to Oahu!

Even the weather wasn't that hot, I had to try this place out. Ordered Hawaiian Rainbow. Order was done through self serve touch pad but if you have any questions they will help you out. Shave ice was more like modern style. It was soft and smooth unlike the OG shave ice. I like both styles but I prefer this way a bit more since it's very easy to eat and flavor soaked up deeper. Highly recommended.

There is a reason you're gonna stand in this line for 30-40 minutes because their shaved ice is next to none. They got a lot of options if you are avoiding dairy for any reason, then they have options for that then they also have shaved eyes that has ice cream in it and toppings plenty of options. It is self-serve as far as ordering yourself and getting it is pretty quick. The pricing is I think 8.95 for a regular and 7.95 for the kid size.

A Waikiki must have! The portions are massive and shareable. We loved it so much we had to go back for more before our trip was over. While a decent line forms later in the day, heading over in the afternoon is the way to go. After obsessing over the Hawaiian rainbow shave ice, we tried the Coconut Island, and both were absolute perfection. The soft serve "volcano" center and chewy mochi are amazing surprises. My kids and I were racing to grab every last spoonful before it was gone. We can't wait to get this every time we visit Waikiki!

Needed to try shave ice while in Hawaii! Found this place thanks to tik tok and boy are we happy we got to try it. It was delicioussssss!!! The flavor!! Sadly we didn't get to grab another before we left but next time we are in Hawaii we'll definitely come here again!

Fantastic spot to stop by for a little sweet treat. The 4 of us shared the Hawaiian Rainbow and the Aloha Honey. Between the two of them, I preferred the Hawaiian Rainbow. The strawberry shave ice was my favorite flavor. The mochi was delicious too with great consistency. Would come back!

My go to shaved ice place - the shack on the main Waikiki strip. Line can get really long so prepare to wait while tanning or people watching. Perfect blend of everything. What I look forward to each time.

You def deserve a 4 star! Flavors 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 Ice texture taste 3.5/5 It's self service! They won't mess up because you don't really talk to anyone here. You order through the tablet so there's almost no error at all except your wrong clicks This one is 4 stars because it's amazing flavors! They have mochi which I liked and the flavors oh it's good! Now why not 5 stars? Their ice maker just isn't authentic and it's meant for super fast nonstop servicing the 10-30+ line of customers! Their snow texture just isn't as fluffy like other famous Hawaiian ice shops. It makes it up with flavor tho for sure. Try this and other places, compare and see! I did enjoy this spot still a lot!!

It was good but nothing special. Hella $$, u r paying for the name & location. We went in a cloudy day & literally no line at 10:30 am.

I don't know guys.... I'm no shaved ice connoisseur but I think my were my expectations too high. Let me be clear , it was good, but it wasn't the best. IMO Ululani in Maui was best. We went 1 hour before closing because we thought the line would be short... negative! It was about half a block long. They moved as quickly as they could which was much appreciated. They also ran out of a few items that I think may have slightly swayed my overall thoughts about the shaved ice. When and if you visit , find a sweet spot. Maybe during the day -when the sun is slightly setting and a cool ocean breeze is passing through. If not , don't worry , you didn't miss much.

Do they sell gift cards online?

I'm so sorry but I'm not sure. Definitely call them or Google the website.

Can the shaved ice be made vegan?

Just don't include ice cream and you got it vegan as the flavor is not dairy driven.

Since this ice cream shop is located in chinatown, parking isn't the greatest at times. There is no designated parking for this ice cream shop but you can hopefully find nearby street parking or go to a nearby parking garage. It's easiest if youre just on foot. All in all, definitely an ice cream parlor worth trying out!

I mean, I'm all about dessert before a meal. In my experience, it is always a challenge to eat Halo halo because it's filled to the top. My strategy: take off the cover (if it's not overspilling: if it is, skip this step), eat some of the ice cream, and take a few sips! That should leave you enough room to mix everything, each scoop you should get a different bite. A long spoon would be best for the larger sizes! Magnolia did not disappoint. I'll be back!!
