It's just outside the food court at the Ala Moana mall, which is huge! It was a hot day so bring inside and sitting at a real table in a clean air conditioned cafe was nice! We ordered the mango ice and the injeomi Korean bing. The mango one was delicious with lots of mango topping, almond slivers and whipped cream. The injeomi is basically a powdered peanut powder topped with red bean and a few mochi. The ice is light and fluffy and because the cafe is already air conditioned, the snow barely melted! Both are tasty but the toppings are on the skimpy side. There is a light dusting of the jeomi in the middle of the ice but just barely. I was hoping there would also be some more red bean and mochi too. Dessert is always delicious, it reminds me of the ones I had when I went back to Korea. My only issue is their service, or more of the lack of service. Once they switched to their self ordering system, there is no one at the front anymore. It took us a little bit to find Jeju Bing! For anyone else looking, it is located very close to one of the Ala Moana food court entrances. Keep in mind that there isn't a restroom inside the shop itself, but since you're so close to the food court, you can just use the facilities there. We visited with a group of six, and we were happy to find that there was a plenty of space to accommodate all of us comfortably. The shaved ice itself was delicious. It came with plenty of fresh fruit, and I really liked the soft, creamy texture of the milk ice. Unfortunately, the presentation and atmosphere took away from the experience. When I received it, the tray and bowl were already covered in sticky milk, so unless you happen to have wet wipes with you, it can get pretty unpleasant and messy. Strawberries were fresh but tart. The shaved ice was velvety and mildly creamy so use the extra condensed milk to cater the ice to your preference. The service was great. It is a bit difficult to know it's inspired by it as only if you've been there before you'll notice the typical Jeju statues you see at the entrance. There is a second level...making for a spacious interior. The K-pop...loud and super annoying. I requested the Watermelon Bingsu which was very refreshing. Fresh, diced watermelon on a pillowy bed of shaved ice, garnished with sliced almonds and topped with whipped cream. A side bowl of condensed mik is included. It was not coyingly sweet - as most Asian desserts tend to steer consumers away from diabetes. Parking...it's AMC...good luck. But stalls are plentiful. read more

Staff is friendly. The menu seemed promising but the dessert didn't quite hit it off for me. It was on the bland side and the ice texture wasn't as fine as other venues. Meh: The $14 (including 15% tip) dessert tasted too light and ice-like and appeared more translucent (rather than opaque white) than expected, leading me to think the milk was watered down, which may be how the establishment can make up the cost for the portion size while maintaining a spot in Ala Moana, especially given milk prices in Hawai'i, even if you're buying from Costco or direct from farmers. Also, tables were not cleaned after each party departed; that transparent puddle on your table might not be condensation and may instead be drool drops from the toddler who sat there before you. There is a good amount of seating but it does get pretty crowded during their rush hours. You might have to wait a little to get a table if you do come during those times but I've never waited more than 10-15 minutes for one.
