Worst experience ever. Dirty room/bathroom--there was a used coffee filter still in the coffee pot. On top of that coolers were not allowed- even to hold just water. We were told we could leave it in a room in the lobby that was "supervised". Strange considering our cooler was gone when we went to retrieve it. Windows do not open for any sort of air circulation. Beds are small and not comfortable. We asked for towels for our second night they were never delivered. We had to track down housekeeping staff and were handed towels that looked like someone had changed their oil with them. We've stayed at other hotels on the island and have never had such an awful experience.

Don't worry about the bugs, the spiders will get them

Shame on you Mr. Tim Niese (Owner) For the sake of brevity, do not stay at this "resort." I don't know how it could be called a resort anyway. There were stained sheets and carpets. Bugs in spider webs. Mold on the shower curtain, a broken chair on the porch and the "resort pool" everyone was swimming in had a pump that did not work, the management was notified and the manager responded, "I should have closed it but I didn't." They then used a skimmer to skim out debris in the pool. I spent over $200.00 for one night and would have rather slept in my car. I have slept in way cleaner motels for 1/4th the amount of money. Disgusting.

    Cord to OLD phone

Disgusting wall paint was chipping away , tv did not work, bugs and I questioned if the door locked . When I went to call about the TV not working hmm .... no cord to phone. STAY AWAY. This hotel needs a major renovation or to be just torn down .

Splash pool! One of the Islander Inn Pools in the summer!

We got…read morea jacuzzi room and it came with what they said was a queen sized bed but it was more like a full sized bed. The bed was incredibly hard and we had to ask for extra pillows. The jacuzzi in the room was actually very nice and was separate from the bathtub in the bathroom. The jets were a bit loud When we checked in, we were told the Coffee was 24 hours a day but on Friday morning it wasn't and my friend had to wait an hour and a half for hot coffee. They also offer what they call a continental breakfast on weekdays, which was bagels, waffles you pop in the toaster, oranges, yogurt, bags of instant oatmeal and juice. I guess it's better than nothing, but we decided to get breakfast elsewhere. The cost to rent a golf cart was quite expensive (maybe it's that way on the whole island). $79 for a full day and $97 for overnight. If this was the only option I might come here again. Otherwise, nah!!

Came to put in bay for the evening and decided to stay the night on a whim. Staff was very nice…read more Unfortunately conditions of the room for the nightly rate was unacceptable and disgusting. The carpet wasn't vacuumed, the counters were filled with bugs, the bed had bugs on it, the comforter was stained, stains on the walls. Overall dirty and looked like someone hadn't even attempted to truly clean the room. Brought this to management attention in the morning and the resolution I was met with was the cleaning staff will be notified and talked to. Management was not willing to refund a penny.

First the positives. Excellent location. Great views of…read moreLake Erie from every room. Convenient parking. Nice (but tiny) shampoo, conditioner and lotion containers in bathroom. Comfortable beds (though high). The two pools and a large spa pool were nice, with many lounge chairs, and extra towels available in the lobby. Now the negatives. - When they say "check-in at 4 pm", they MEAN 4 pm. We arrived at 3:45 and they wouldn't check us in until EXACTLY 4 pm. - Room wasn't perfectly clean - carpet dusty, some dirt around the edges in the bathroom. - We were there three nights. Room was never cleaned nor towels replaced. - Some photos on VRBO showed microwave/small refrigerator and coffee maker. There were none. - No breakfast available. No complimentary coffee. There was a small bar in the lobby with coffee to purchase. - Room air conditioner was noisy. - Automatic night lighting on all room balconies could not be turned off, so we had to have the drapes fully closed to sleep. - Loud music was broadcast all afternoon and evening. We were on second floor and could hear even inside our room. We were told the music was required "for the Tiki Bar". - The room's balcony was screened, but at least twice a day birds got in underneath the balcony side adjoining room walls. After 20 or so minutes the birds got out the same way on their own. - No phone in the room and we had a hard time finding the front desk phone number anyway. Finally just had to go down to the front desk when we needed something.

The chairs are all falling apart and the cabana was dirty and crawling with spiders! I could not sit under it! The staff do not even try to make it presentable for you despite paying $150!! The pool water was not heated, it was cold, and dirty! Our room had soiled linen on the beds, the head boards were weirdly mismatching, and the bathroom looked like something out of movie like a prison toilet! I rented a 6 seater golf cart and the because it had rained the previous day you could not even use the back two seats, they were soaked, and they don't do anything to try to keep them dry despite paying $180! We opted to not stay here, showed our photos & expressed our concerns to the front desk, and was promised a full refund. Over a week later and we see are still waiting for it. Very shady operation!! Never again! I hope my review saves you money!!

There were no chairs left and barely any room to stand. The DJ was good. There was quite a variety of music. Not really my vibe but everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying a few songs here and there. The drinks were great. The bartender in the pool was great. Very attentive and friendly. Like most popular places the drinks were expensive and the big "O" drink was all ice, but it was nice to carey around. It seemed like there was enough staff to keep up with the demand of the crowd. Security made regular rounds and was very friendly. It was a nice day overall. There was a booty shaking contest, a belly flop contest and a wet t-shirt contest that never actually happened. I'm old but it was fun to spend a day at the pool drinking and cheering on strangers. I do wish there was a better layout on the upper deck. People tend to line up along the side to people watch and it makes it a tight fit when it's time to go get a drink from the bar upstairs. The upper deck didnt have any umbrellas for shade. I understand that most people would go up there and sunbathe but with the amount of people taking up all the space downstairs it would have been a nice break to sit in a shaded area for a moment. Also there was no food and that kind of stinks. I realize it's better to keep drunk people from trashing the place but it would have been nice to be able to order snacks that we could have eaten off to the side. I'm not a hard-core partier but I enjoyed being able to go hang out during the day and have a good time.

I booked an exterior room because I brought my puppy and they gave me an interior but blamed it on Expedia for the room I was assigned. They corrected it and gave me an exterior room that was not very clean. We found trash under the bed. The toilet felt like it would fall through at any moment and water on the floor when we first walked in. The bed is the most uncomfortable bed I have ever attempted to sleep in. We didn't get any sleep due to rude drunk people yelling outside our room and the people above us jumping around from 1:30am to 3am. As well as loud bumping music playing until 3am from another property close by.. If you want a constant party atmosphere, this is 100% your type of place. We will not be back.
