A Hawaiian themed cafe in Surrey near Grandview Corners. Their drinks are on the larger size (with the smallest size being 12oz). We ended up getting a cappucino and while it was okay, didn't think it was anything special. They did have a decent amount of space for seating and would be a good place to come to if you wanted to get some work done. read more

Terrible service. The staff doesn't even acknowledge your presence, and when my order was ready they just left it on the counter for 20 minutes to get cold before I realized it was my order. I know Starbucks is overrated, but atleast they are friendly and prompt with their service. Islands staff might learn a few pointers about customer service. read more

Came here twice in one weekend. Very cute ambiance with plenty of space to sit. Hawaiian island theme is very refreshing. Menu is very elaborate and has a wonderful twist to it. Wait time is moderate. Drinks and food are well priced because they are quality. Unfortunately the 4star is because of the service. Smoothie was great, but served with attitude. Just came in with a friend. It was the first time that my friend visited this store. Asked for a taster from the extra smoothie that was made for me. I stopped by to get a latte. The menu was interesting with some Hawaiian inspired items. I tried the beach bum latte. It had a shot of coconut and a shot of banana syrup. All I could taste was the banana flavour. This did not bring me back to Hawaii. However, I look forward to try the açai bowl on a subsequent visit. Service was fast. read more

Customer service is pretty bad here, and is slow with food orders. Came at 8:30am on a Saturday expecting them to be open as it's shown online, but was closed with no sign posted. Not sure if owners are not present but this business is falling apart. Was once really good. read more

I was very put off by the food. The flatbread was plain, and the poke bowl was entirely disappointing. Tiny portion of plain white rice and overly-salty fish? Are you kidding? I always see this place when I come shopping here but I never go in! Finally I went in and it was amazing! The açai bowl was perfect for after BarreFitness session! And their coffee was tasted! I really like the vibe of the place very island tropical! Best part was the pineapple dust in the coffee foam. SO CUTE! Definitely coming back here for around two. Will never return for 3 reasons. 1. Coffee was weak 2. After spending too much for coffee and light snack in their admittedly comfortable cafe, i was refused the ability to use the restroom. I can spend my money there, sit inside your cafe, eat and drink your weak coffee but I am not allowed to wash my hands or relieve myself?? 3. Staff was rude to me when I questioned this and told me to go to Tim Hortons. Shame on you!! I get the while pandemic thing, trust me! I have been going here as well as their white rock location ever since it opened. I have finally learned my lesson about not coming back and not giving this business any more of my business. I can whole heartedly say that I have never had good customer service at this cafe, both locations. Not only is the food very over priced I find that the sloppy ness in making it as well as the very terrible customer service makes it even less worth the hiked up prices. Now, In saying this I do not take this lightly but, me along with whoever is with me (ppl of colour) have noticed some micro aggression in terms of racism going on. I am not here to defend myself or proving the way I have been treated, I am just calling it how it is. If that's not bad enough, this smoothie bowl, for example, was around $12. When I asked for some peanut butter drizzled I got a grunt from the girl taking my order and a cold blob in my bowl. The food and drinks are great, and while I've heard some people say they're overpriced, I would disagree, because not only do you pay for the fun atmosphere of the place, but it's hard to find another cafe with a similar menu, especially one of similar quality.
