With at least four coffee shops on this block of Marine Drive, Delany's is by far the most popular. It's always bustling and for good reason. They serve up good coffee, but my favourite thing is that they serve pastries from Tartlets.

Sugar free smelt and house special mug!

Average latte. Least favourite in the area thus far. Flavour was so so, very milky. Much prefer Crema.

Happy to discover that this place was nice and quiet inside so would definitely consider coming back here again. Food was awesome. I absolutely loved my Shakshuka. Might be the best Shakshuka I've ever had. Not that I'm any authority figure on what a Shakshuka should taste like. But I really enjoyed this one. The combination of flavors, the runny egg yolks, the gooeyness of the cheese...it was just such a wonderfully comforting and belly warming meal. I saw a Cinnamon Honey Latte on the board and decided to order that for my drink. These days, I can never tell when the word "Latte" is being used to describe a coffee beverage or whether it's being used to describe a beverage that has milk in it. A Matcha latte for example, tends to just be a sweetedned Matcha beverage with milk in it. No coffee thrown in. I was kinda hoping this Cinnamon Honey Latte would be milk with cinnamon and honey thrown in. It turned out to be a coffee beverage. No complaints about it. It's on me for assuming that it was milk with cinnamon and honey thrown in. I should have probably asked our server about the beverage before simply ordering it. Will make sure to do that if/when we end up here again. Kinda had my eye on the Turkish Apple Tea though so might just order that next time and the whole "Latte" dilemma wouldn't be an issue with that. My daughter's Avocado Toast looked super yummy as well. Might try ordering that next time, although Michelangelo's Mediterranean Spread was also kinda calling out to me!

The cushy seating with cushions on it was comfortable. Something about the way they've painted and decorated the place gave me European style cafe vibes. I almost felt like I was in a Parisian cafe. Also, I like that the tables are designed with hooks at the side where you can hang your handbags! Some of the food is quite pricey. Especially for a place whose name is known more for coffee rather than food. There are some affordable items though. Not cheap, but affordable. My mom ordered the Organic Grass Fed Mini Burgers and I had the Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese Pasta. Mom said the burgers were good. They sure looked good. She was only able to eat 2/3 of them. The 3rd she packed up and took home. I enjoyed my Mushroom and Goat Cheese Pasta but honestly I didn't really taste much of the goat cheese. At some point in time I did taste a bit of goat cheese but mostly, I felt like I was tasting parmesan or some other kind of cheese like that. We ordered an Amalfi Tiramisu to share for dessert. It was supposed to be a lemon flavored version of Tiramisu. Instead of soaking it in espresso, it was supposed to be soaked in limoncello. It was a nice dessert but honestly...I didn't taste much lemon flavor. I'm no authority figure on limoncello mind you, but the menu said it was supposed to be a lemon version of the classic tiramisu and I was mostly just tasting sweetness. The lemon flavor wasn't standing out to me. Would I come back here again? Yes. Admittedly, some of the flavors I was expecting to taste (ie. goat cheese and lemon) didn't stand out to me. In spite of that though, I did still enjoy the food. The food was still tasty, I enjoyed the ambiance and the service was pretty decent.

My friends and I enjoyed the cozy vibes and liked our drinks. Food-wise, I have yet to discover my favorite dish here. The chicken salad was delicious and a good mix of veggies and protein. Their house-made organic focaccia breads didn't meet my expectations though I liked the pesto sauce and olive oil that comes with the breads. Their happy hour starts a bit later at 4pm and definitely a nice spot to enjoy a drink and chill after shopping at Park Royal. Overall, I like that they design their menu with lots of options for foods sharing. Also, this location is very close to the bus stop and super transit friendly from Horseshoe Bay Village. Great addition to Park Royal and I will visit again.
