This wasn't originally one of the activities on our radar but then we checked with our contact on the beach and it was so cheap that we decided that one of the sunsets would be out on the water. I don't know how it would be in the middle of the day but splashing on the water in the heat would be welcomed. In the evening, there was a nice breeze and the warmth of the sun on the face made it perfect. Both guides were great about taking pictures for us. We didn't even ask; They know people want some shots :-). The only thing to be aware of is the 'net' that you sit on. They aren't nets. More like zip ties. You can manage when you're in a comfortable position but it's not somewhere to sit or lay however you want. You only have a few choices. It's a must activity to do while in Boracay. On the next visit, it'll be something we do again.

They are called Paraw and are described as a double outrigger, which a framework projecting over the side of the boat to stabilized it. .You don't sit is the haul which is vary narrow but on the the nets that is stretched on the outriggers The ride on the water is smooth and brizzy with a few splashes of water you will travel from one end of the island to the other, My guide told us about the key points you can see from the boat while we sailed. The boats are also popular as a romantic or photo taking ride during sunset. You can book online or just get some tickets on the beach at many stores that sell tourist activities, Cost was 750 pesos per person, that is $15 for a one hour ride. The nets can be uncomfortable so I do not recommend it if your body is sensitive to how or what you sit on.

They have lounge chairs by the beachfront for guests. Outdoor showers & foot rinses are available. The suites are spotless with comfortable beds, linens, & welcome chocolates. Bathrooms are clean, spacious & essential toiletries, soft bath towels & bathrobes. Our family of 7 booked 3 rooms & availed the 8-day breakfast buffet, which was def the best choice! The hotel rotates main dishes, so there are repeats but not identical every day. The selection is extensive! A heads-up: if you want peace & quiet, request rooms near the lobby. Caveat: As soon as you step onto the beach, vendors will frequently approach with the same offerings (island activities, food). Even worse, vendors stay close to the beachfront, pestering guests with direct sales or loud voices, disrupting relaxation. Resorts should regulate this. I respect the hustle, but designated spots would help. We came to relax on the white sand, listen to the ocean, or read a book. Keep that in mind.

They do not have connecting rooms but you can ask for side by side instead, they give welcome drinks, they will handle your pick up and drop off of luggages. oh! there's just so many info! Massage by the pool ($10) or in- house. I did the in-house (room massage) for $20 that's because it's late but I think $15 if a little early - I did not like the masseuse but it's ok. just pm me! I have a lot to share if you have questions. I enjoyed our stay so you as well- and that's for sure.

Their facilities are clean and well maintained. Customer service, whether in person or by phone, was pleasant and any issues I had during my stay were addressed promptly. I wanted to stay in Station 1 and Crystal Sands was the only Henann property within that space. The beachfront is literally steps away from the hotel. Beachside, you're guaranteed to find an available chair to lay out on and there are activities abound regardless of the time of day. I visited during Labor Day weekend in the Philippines and was not prepared for the volume of people. Tbh, it was a bit congested but still fun nonetheless. Restaurant food on property is above average. I had breakfast buffet included in my stay and the dishes rotate on a daily basis. I thought the offerings were solid and their options for lunch and dinner look pretty good too! All their pools are outdoor. There is one infinity pool/swim-up bar on the 2nd floor and a lap pool on the ground floor. The gym was on the smallish side but had the basics. Massage services are available poolside if you like relaxation out in the open. Room pricing is pretty decent for the quality you're getting. Depending on the time of year, average cost is a little over $100 USD/night for their entry level. If you can swing it, the best times to go are typically January/February with fewer crowds and near perfect weather.

Let's start with the front desk…read more Jhun has been wonderful. He helped us with our luggage during our first visit in October, and when we returned in June, he was just as welcoming. We absolutely love his personality and the warm hospitality he provides. Karel was exceptionally friendly and helpful from check-in until check-out. She assisted me with connecting to Henann Regency for my Kai Spa massage booking, helped add my daughter to my reservation, and handled every concern I had with professionalism and kindness. She truly made our stay much easier and more enjoyable. On the other hand, our experience with Rheann was disappointing. She initially gave my partner a hard time when we requested to add my daughter to our reservation. Later, when my guest came by only to drop off my daughter's luggage, Rheann assumed they were staying with us. Despite my guest and partner clearly explaining that they were simply dropping off the luggage, she repeatedly insisted on asking for their IDs, which seemed unnecessary. To make matters worse, after they dropped off the luggage, she radioed the front security to "make sure that they exit through the front of the hotel." We found this completely uncalled for and quite uncomfortable. Pool and Beach Staff Jay at the pool and Ian at the beachfront were both very friendly and attentive. They always made sure we were comfortable, reassured us about leaving our belongings on the lounge chairs, and ensured we had fresh, dry towels available. Sky Pool Unfortunately, our experience with Blaise was not as pleasant. While he was preparing a purple-colored drink, I simply asked if it was the Ube Colada because I was curious and considering ordering one myself. He replied that it was a drink exclusively for VIP guests. I clarified that I was only asking if it was similar to the Ube Colada, but he repeated that it was "for VIP only." I found the interaction unfriendly and dismissive. And of course, saving the best for last -- Sapphire Restaurant. Roland was our server during our first visit, and seeing him again on this trip was a delight. He is amazing, with a very pleasant personality, always attentive, and constantly smiling. Despite the restaurant being busy with guests coming and going, he remembered me from my first visit, which made our experience even more special. Ms. Han, whom I believe is the restaurant manager or supervisor, was very involved with the guests and ensured that everyone was well taken care of. Lastly, RC was always polite and attentive, making sure our tea and water were constantly refilled and promptly clearing used plates from our table. Thank you for another wonderful experience. Despite a few issues, the exceptional service provided by many of your staff made our stay memorable. We truly appreciate the hospitality and will definitely be coming back for a third visit.

We booked our stay in Astoria as time share members and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived at the airport, our driver from the hotel with our private van was already waiting for us and everything was all set up and the process of getting to and from was smooth and stress free! When we arrived at the resort we were greeted warmly by all the staff and was escorted to our suites . The resort looked beautiful. It was clean, very well maintained and has a relaxing tropical vibe to it. Our room was clean, organized and everything we will ever need was prepared and ready. The resort also has a private security and we felt safe the whole entire stay. The restaurant buffet at the resort was great but we also was close enough to explore the beach grounds for several other restaurants and shops to enjoy. The resort also assisted us in booking all the activities we wanted to go to and the process went smoothly without issues. Prices were all at an affordable range. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for myself and both my daughters and family. We all had an amazing time!

This review is for Astoria Current(it's not on Yelp). We did walk down to where this location is…read more It looks great also but I think Astoria Current will be our go-to spot on future visits. We enjoyed our stay here. The first couple of days, the place feels like a maze but it doesn't take long before you find your way. The check-in process was great and we weren't bothered at all during our stay. Housekeeping also refreshed the room every day but if you would rather they not, you can request them to skip over you. Upon arriving, they give you a welcome drink and some type of muffin at this small cafe around the corner. Both were delicious. That cafe area is also open most of the day. They have two pools and what seems like an endless supply of common areas to sit, lay, or relax. It was a very nice retreat when you need a break from walking or beach activities. Most hotels in Boracay have their dining area near the beach and/or facing the beach. Current has their dining area on the bottom floor, they have another area on the 2nd floor above it(one night I believe some event or karaoke was happening there), and lastly, above that, they have a third-floor rooftop area. The rooftop area is nice. Each time we went up there, we were by ourselves. They did have some type of bar/table area up there so they may serve food/drinks at some point during the day. I was a big fan of their food. We had their breakfast every day. You can walk in there as far as I know and eat from their breakfast buffet(for a fee) but if you stay, it's included. They also have a dinner buffet but we were usually out eating elsewhere during those hours. It should be noted that it seems like families stay here so there will be kids but it wasn't bad at all. No tantrums. No unnecessary nuisances. The Room: The room was spacious. It was clean. Comfy bed. Sink. Fridge. Tv. Large CR. Table for sitting. Plenty of mirrors. Quiet. The only complaint there is that we were in a room without a window so we never knew what the outside world was like until we woke up and went out. They have rooms tucked away inside the place but there are other floors/areas where you can enjoy a room with a window to the outside. Astoria Current made it so comfy of a stay that we easily could've stayed much longer. The checkout process was also easy. We had an early 7 AM flight. So with waking up early, checking out, plenty of trikes near the back entrance ready to take us to the ferry, taking the ferry across and on to the airport couldn't have been easier. There's an endless supply of hotels and places to stay in Boracay. As much as I'd love to try some of the others on future visits, it's going to be hard to pass Current up.

I LOVE BORACAY, PI. AND I LOVE THE DISTRICT BORACAY !!! They were the cherry on top with our stay…read more First off, flying to the PI from the US is long and on top of that taking another flight to Caticlan AND then a 15 min drive AND then a speed boat AND then another drive to the hotel!!! It's overwhelming just when you land in Manila. However, once we got to Caticlan the District takes care of everything else. At the arrival of meeting a District staff member at the airport I just felt so relieved knowing we can relax and be worry free. Staff reassured us we were going to be taken care of. All of the staff on the boat and cars were so welcoming and took photos of our landing. When we got to the hotel, we were welcomed with cold eucalyptus towels (which you're gonna want bc of the humidity) & a refreshing cucumber cooler drink ! Check in was an ease and we got to our room without much of a wait. Room is probably the better of the ones in station 2 with AC & tv with all streaming services. We get a cute balcony. They have night time getting ready turn around and fully daily room service. All inclusive breakfast buffet which changes daily and beach access chairs with umbrellas. My BF and I every day would walk the beach, get our seats, & the. swim/relax for the day. No need to claim as there is always plenty. They have a spa and it is fantastic ! We got 3 massages on our 5 day stay and shout out to Grace - hands of an angel! Best massages ever, with a variety to choose. They were well needed after our flight. They have a pool, but we avoided bc the beautiful beach is right outside the hotel. We did however sit by the poolside to escape the sun during peak hours. They have a very small basic gym, which had everything we needed. It was great to get our workouts in cause that's a part of our lifestyle. There's also three other restaurants in the hotel which was delicious. Higher prices compared to restaurants on the station, they deliver to the beach if you're sitting there. Try their Japanese restaurant, very fresh high quality fish. I will say the hospitality in the PI is 10/10 & the hospitality at The District was 100/10. They were on top of everything and always greeting with the smiles. Please make sure to tip them for all their excellent work (including transportation and staff assisting with luggage) !!! Boracay is a tourist destination, & the beautiful staff assist us with over the top service and they deserve so much for what they are actually paid!!! If you can afford to travel to Boracay, you can afford to tip the amazing service. If you're looking for a nice stay, celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, etc stay here!!!

It was definitely a soothing and relaxing massage especially from all the walking and being out in the hot sun. If I were to ever return to Boracay, I'd definitely stay here again!

Our room was only a few steps away from the pool and the towel service (which they gave you towel cards so you can borrow clean beach towels to use). This hotel was also a short walk away from the beach in which you can use their beach chairs (first come, first serve) and there's an attendant that oversee them. We spend the whole day at the beach! Included with your reservation (now I don't remember if we paid for it or not), was their breakfast buffet. Located at their Sea Breeze restaurant. You check in with the attendant, tell them your name and they'll show you to yoir seat. Their menu rotates, but they always have their regulars like rice, American breakfast and breads. My only complaint is from some guests that feels so entitled that they needed to be served like people who worked here is their personal help.
