Great spot to grab some great food and brews with pals. The ambiance is great, the terrasses are spacious, and the on-tap menu is extensive! I had the Session IPA and loved it so much I had to order another. Pints are $9, which isn't bad. Staff are friendly and efficient. All around a great experience, will be coming back again this summer!

Isle de Garde is currently canning and selling their beers due to covid-19. I had never tried their beer before so we purchased a variety to try at home. So far I love how smooth their beers are and how the design of their cans are bright and fun. I prefer fruity sour beers so my favorite so far is their 'Gose Pêches'. If you like Isle de Garde, stop by and grab some beers!

I like this place a lot. Great ambiance and great staff. They have an ever-changing selection of draft beer to fit every taste and will be happy to help you choose a beverage that you like. As for food, I am sad to say I have had better experience. I ordered the duck breast which was the plat du jour. The plate looked amazing but I found the duck to be a little too chewy and greasy. I could see the alcohol pooling on my plate. Also, the food wasn't very hot in general. It is not my first time at Isle de garde and I know they can make amazing food so I won't let this bad experience stop me from going there for the atmosphere and the beer.

We got into Montreal super late. Fortunately another establishment pointed us here since the first place we tried was closed for food. I cannot say I am disappointed that the other place didn't have food as this food was totally amazing and the staff was super helpful! My friend had the burger. She said it was juicy and super tasty with just the right amount of cheese. She raved about the fries and dipping sauce. For me, I found the octopus grilled to perfection. The combination of the grilled octopus, lettuce, beets, radishes and turnips over the ranch dressing was phenomenal. The meal was light, yet filling. Just what I wanted for a late night meal. And the croustade aux pommes, which my friend and I shared, was the chef's kiss! It was lightly sweetened and had various textures. The apple sticks gave the dessert a lovely freshness! I would definitely recommend this place.

Their IPA is absolutely amazing. They change their menu very often, and I have been 3 times here and all the time their food is absolutely amazing. The kitchen closes pretty late so it is a good place to go and eat when it is late and you really want some good quality food.

We stopped in to this great place for a quick beer with old friends. Turned into a beer sample and dinner. Loved the house beers and the Samuel Jackson Royale with Cheese was a fabulously tasty burger.

Delicious. If only I could order another...

There are 2 sides of the restaurant: the more casual order what you want brasserie side and then the fancier multi-course chef menu side. I chose the brasserie side, where I had a reservation for a bar seat - turns out that wasn't really that necessary as there were several individual bar seats open; A group would probably have a difficult time getting a seat on a Friday evening though. For drinks, I had a paper plane and a last word. Those are my two go to cocktails for nicer bars, and they pulled them off fantastically (they also knew what I was talking about which is kind of rare for the last word). For an extra nice touch, they clipped an actual paper plane to the paper plane drink. Fun! For food, I ordered the Duck Confit. It was super crispy on the outside, but the meat was super tender and juicy and melted off of the bone. My mouth is watering while thinking about it. It also came with bread service. For dessert I had the tiramisu. I would give it a 4/5 - it was a little more bland than others I've had - not bad at all, but not my favorite one of all time. They seem to be serious about their coffee (see pictures). Since I was sitting right in front of it I had to order one to go with the tiramisu. I had a basic americano, and it was a great addition. My only real complaint is the bar seating felt a little bit exposed as the main walkway through the restaurant goes along the bar seating. Drinks 5/5, Service 5/5, Food 5/5, Ambience 4/5

We started with oysters from PEI and New Brunswick. Loved that they let you choose the units so we only ordered 4 (2 each). We also had as appetizer their foie gras parfait and tomatoes from our garden. Both we wonderful choices. The tomatoes were perfect for the season with a beautiful balance of tomatoes, stracciatella and focaccia. Foie is a classic and loved the grilled bread and pickled vegetables to accompany it. Our entrees were the lamb rump, braised shoulder and butcher cut steak and frites which was the hangar steak. The lamb was delicious and very hearty in a good way. The steak was perfectly prepared and the frites stayed warm the entire meal with their presentation. We ended with their house fav passion fruit pavlova. Light and airy texture with lovely flavor. Nice way to compete the meal!

It's part of a hotel, so you have to enter the hotel to enter the restaurant. It was a little confusing knowing where to go to get seated / if you should just seat yourself; but there was a host that would come to the front door to seat you. Service was quite slow. They didn't seem all that busy as there were maybe 3-4 tables per server. It took a while to be acknowledged, 10+ minutes to get coffee after ordering, and 15-20 minutes for the omelette to finally make its way out. The omelette was evenly cooked and fluffy, but it was a bit bland. The bacon was served on the side, and that is where all of the flavor was for the omelette. I was in a hurry, otherwise I would have requested hot sauce or something to help out the eggs. The coffee wasn't the greatest. I had a lot of seriously good americanos in Montreal, but this one felt watery and almost like it was reheated. Better than nothing first thing in the morning, but there are plenty of other options around with better coffee. I wouldn't be upset to eat here again, but I don't think I would choose it over many of the other great options in the area.

Got to try some delicious food during my short weekend trip to Montreal Quebec…read more A friend organized a lunch for everyone before we all headed to the airport and funny enough this restaurant was in the hotel my friend and i stayed at. The restaurant was super quiet when we went as it was a Monday afternoon when most people were probably at work. The interior was quite elegant very clean and royalty looking. The service was 10/10. Waiter was very attentive and we could tell he paid attention to detail. He gave great food recommendations and definitely had knowledge of what's on the menu. Now as for how the food and prices were? Prices i'd say are pretty standard and reasonable. The squash soup was so yum and comforting. It had a puree texture to it. Good serving size. I would order it again! We obviously had to have some mimosas and yes we paired it with orange juice. The duck confit may have been a bit too much for me. Large portion and i couldn't even finish half of it. But it wasn't dry and the veggies had a nice crunch and the lentils were very filling and healthy. The flavour notes all went together but i'd definitely say the dish was more on the healthier side. The chicken supreme on the other hand .. although healthy it was still cheesy and buttery. Considering it was chicken breast it didn't even taste dry so i definitely appreciated that. The risotto paired with it was the star of the show! The restaurant takes resos online and they do have brunch on the weekends, happy hour menu looks promising. If i'm ever in town again and in the area i'd want to try their happy hour or chacuterie spread!

(Hotel restaurants, can be good/bad) We were definitely not dressed up which I was worried about but it wasn't an issue, we started with beef carpaccio and charcuterie, the pate was absolutely amazing as were all the cured meats. The beef carpaccio, was for me a little bland, I would have hit it with a touch of salt, but once you got a piece th at had balsamic drizzle it really opened it up and changed my mind. (I wish there was a little more of the balsamic. My husband had the Cornish hen, and I had the filet mignon, both were absolutely amazing, I even stole a little of his Bleu cheese for my steak. Steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were amazing. Our server was on point, his name was Pedro, I had asked him to send out a dessert privately and it was our 1 year anniversary, even though we were not dressed for the occasion as we were both exhausted from travel, We will probably be in for lunch tomorrow!

Both were show stoppers: the chicken was crunchy and crispy without tasting dry or over seasoned, and the burrata was creamy, served with toasted bread that meshed well with the green goddess dressing and fresh veggies. The reason we came to Le Réservoir was for the beer, and it did not disappoint. I had the best beer of our visit at Le Réservoir - a pineapple sour.
