Best advice I can give to anybody who is getting married: HIRE ISLE MEDIA FOR ALL YOUR WEDDING NEEDS. I cannot tell you how happy I am with their services. I actually found and decided on our wedding venue, Lanikuhonua in Ko'olina, because of all Isle Media.. I was viewing all of the videos that I was able to view on their website and found the wonderful coverage that they captured at the venue. I am not an emotional person, but I found myself teary eyed and crying as I watched all of their wedding videography on their website. It was during my wedding planning, approximately 1 year prior to my wedding date, that I was absolutely certain that I HAD to have Isle Media as my photographer/videographer/make-up artist. My only regret is that I did not hire them for everything else as Isle Media offered all other wedding services. Make-up and hair services with Meileen and her crew were so awesome! They did such a great job with everybody, not only the bride (that was me!). I even had my mother's make-up done and I was extremely impressed! And I am definitely picky with my makeup as I am not the typical girl who just "puts on makeup". Meileen and the wonderful make-up/hair crew created such a lasting impression that was seized during the wedding. AND they finished everybody (bride, maid of honor, 5 bridesmaids, and mother of the bride) 1 hour early! It was such a stress-free and no-rush experience! The photography crew came to the Aulani Resort, where we were getting ready for the wedding, and nonchalantly became part of the family and friends that surrounded us. They were so helpful and accommodating. Their recommendations regarding lighting, pose, and stature were so on point. Videography was also captured during the entire time and they were just in the background, unassuming and non-obtrusive, yet always there to catch every special moment. The same day edit (SDE) is an absolute must! YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT PART OF THE PACKAGE! It was such a great way to end the wedding ceremony/reception. After Isle Media played it after the major part of our reception, it left my husband and I super teary-eyed and just looked at each other saying, "wow.. that was our wedding?!! that wasn't awesome. that was f**** awesome!" My husband actually said, "why didn't we give them more money or get a larger package that they offered?" I definitely agree. I wish we purchased a larger package.. because for me, make-up, photos, and video will last a lifetime when the wedding will pass by with just a fleeting moment. Blink and it will be over. I forgot to hit post!! Our destination wedding was in April 2014 and let me tell you it wouldn't have been as memorable without Isle Media! We ended up using all of their services - Photography, Videography, Hair/Makeup, DJ/Emcee, and overall we were really satisfied! It is definitely not easy to plan a wedding, especially a destination one, so thanks Isle Media for making our day extra special! Photography: Hands down my favorite service from the group.Reese is a GODSEND. I'm a pretty crazy person and he was able to work with my crazy faces and poses! My husband and I were really impressed with how he managed to get shots in even when the wind was blowing and it was raining on and off. Also, a special shout out to Rei who helped me fix my bangs and flower headpiece when the wind would blow it all over! It also cracked us up when she had to crouch like a ninja to make sure the flash was set just in the right position...extra props to you! Videography: It was a blast having Kyle around capturing our best moments. He was very chill, which helped us relax and be ourselves in front of the camera (it can be intimidating!!). It was also nice that he made sure to re-take any shots that he felt could've been taken better. Our video turned out awesome! Thanks to the video edit crew for making sure all the important parts were kept intact! Hair/Makeup: Zairrah, Meileen, and Mariah managed to handle 5 bridesmaids, mothers (last minute!), and me before our first look shoot and we turned out extra beautiful! I am VERY picky when it comes to makeup (I did not want a cake face on my own wedding) so it meant a lot to me that Zairrah took the time to make sure that I was comfortable with the make up. Meileen did an excellent job on making my hair look beautifully put together. DJ/Emcee: Kevin was really accommodating with talking to me over the phone and email about what kind of music and songs we wanted to play for our wedding. They did a GREAT job with the ceremony--every little detail we asked to incorporate was done flawlessly. For example, we asked them to cut the music when the ring bearers walked in so that they could a little surprise dance to the Harlem Shake. Everyone thought that part of the ceremony was hilarious, so we were grateful it turned out as planned. The emceeing was really good too! We didn't really plan to have any games during the reception but Kevin had a great idea of incorporating a kissing game that helped keep us all entertained. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the music wasn't really what I expected for the dancing portion after the reception was done. I requested for mainly top 40s (hip hop/pop) but a lot of the songs ended up being either older (baby got back) or slower than expected, which was harder for everyone to dance to. Also, sometimes the songs would change abruptly (from a fast to slow song or vice versa), without any smooth transition between the two, so it would mess up the rhythm of the dancing. He did request for artists I did not want to play, but maybe I didn't make it more clear what songs I only wanted. I'd recommend the emceeing for sure, and possibly the DJing if you're more explicit about what songs you really want! We are forever thankful for the services that Isle Media provided! Thank you to Lester and the crew at Isle Media to help us capture special moments on our special day! Lester took initiative, met with us a few times prior to the wedding, and was timely on all his responses. As their campaign shows, they are true to what they say, "30 days." We had our pictures within a couple weeks of our wedding, which is unheard of in the wedding industry. We were blessed to have it so quickly! Lester, was personable, funny and made everyone feel comfortable through the whole process. Our wedding turned out to have the craziest weather you can think of but despite the stress, he stood calm and made the best of the situation. It didn't even look like it was raining. I would've wanted more detailed shots of the décor and bridal shots but with the crazy weather and only one photographer it still came out great. Here I go with a way too long overdue review for Isle Media. First off, hands down the BEST photography and videography company in the state! My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Alan and his Isle Media team on two occasions, our wedding and our maternity shoot. First things first... our wedding. Prior to our wedding my wife and I lived in Las Vegas, which made it hard to meet up and talk business in person. Being the professional that he is, Alan was very accommodating and set up face time and video chats all throughout the process, even before we even agreed to use them! He set the bar by actually wanting to know more about us and treated us as friends, not just as clients. The more we talked, the more we knew that he was going to do a great job capturing those "precious moments" throughout our wedding day. My wife and I got married on November 14th, 2015 and yes... this is a super late review lol. OUR WEDDING DAY. Professionalism is knowing how to do it, when to do it, and doing it... and Alan and his team hit the ball out of the park. They were able to capture amazing shots and video from the moments of us getting ready in our own hotel rooms, throughout our wedding ceremony, and all throughout our wedding reception as well. Ahhh! Where do I start.. The Isle Media Team including Alan, Lester, Reece & Rafael were awesome! Our SURPRISE wedding was May 18th at Laie Beach with reception to follow at Tradewinds Ranch. Yes, Surprise... My wife was graduating from the University of Hawaii @ Manoa and so we already had many family members and close friends flying in to celebrate this momentous occasion... So why not throw a wedding in there too?! :) The Isle Media team was Fantastic! We were able to contact them at anytime with all of the many details and changes that came our way. Alan was great with following up and checking on us up until our big day. Our actual wedding day was kind of hectic for everyone, considering we had this gigantic secret to keep as well as staying on top of all the wedding day preparations. Reece and Rafael were stellar, I get pretty awkward in front of cameras, but they made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. The team was able to capture the perfect moments within all the chaos that ensued. With the surprise ceremony at the beach, the entire Isle Media team did a tremendous job capturing all the "in the moment pictures," as well as the many expressions of utter surprise, intimate moments of emotion, and of course those that were overwhelmed in disbelief! I (Gabrielle, the other bride) have to jump in at this point and really make a note here that Lester was an absolute breath of fresh air for me the entire day! He not only took amazing pictures and video throughout the day, but noticed when I needed the reground myself. He would remind me to breath, enjoy every moment of the day, and to remember that it was My Day! So to Lester, Thank you a million for helping me through my crazy nerves and reminding me to slow it down! THE VIDEO! I can't even to begin to tell you how perfect it is.. I don't know how they got the perfect footage throughout the entire day... when it was all a blurr to me, but they sure did! And when I say perfect, I mean perfect! The team made sure to capture all the tender moments, all the overjoyed responses to the surprise, and really all the genuine Love that was overflowing that day! While both my wife and I aren't the most comfortable in front of cameras I must say, they have a way of easing your nerves, and the ability to bring you out of your comfort zone. Since we have received our same-day highlight edit I can't tell you how many times I have watched it... And every time I am brought right back to that perfect day! OH and must I not forget - The Drone is the icing on the cake, those shots are breath taking. Overall Isle Media exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be happier with the the outcome. This review is for their videography service. My wife and I hired Isle Media for our wedding last year and we recently got the video back. They created both a highlight video (4.5 minutes) and an extended video (22 minutes). Before we hired them, we looked through many of their videos on Vimeo, and really liked what they did, but we had some very unique requests that I'm sure made the editing process a bit longer than most. They took all of our feedback and incorporated it into a pretty great video. I couldn't have asked for better videographers either. The videographers seemed invisible during the entire day, yet every single thing was captured beautifully. Isle Media is known for their wedding photography/videography but I had an amazing experience with them doing my Maternity photos. During a quick visit to Hawaii they were able to squeeze me in for a beautiful Hawaiian sunset photoshoot of my 2nd pregnancy. I have had professional Maternity photos taken before and Isle Media was above and beyond. It was better because I felt so comfortable, I was able to enjoy myself, smile and even have fun despite my 3rd trimester body in a swimsuit on a beach! Very professional! I coordinated a friend's wedding at Hale Koa Estate in Laie. Reese was very quick to respond to my emails from the beginning and throughout the entire wedding planning process. We asked around for recommendation from friends and we got a few said isle media. They're very professional, fast respond from email & phone call/text. They are organized and friendly, easy to work with. I can't express how happy i am that i chose them. To be honest, at first i thought their price is a little bit more than what i wanted to spend, because we have check a few more places and their prices are more reasonable, but then i thought if anything happens, you cant redo wedding to recapture all this memories and after the wedding, that's all you got is photos/video to keep for memories so i can cut down on anything but not this. We had 8 hrs video/photo package + SDE. All the money i paid is very worth it, they did such a good job, everyone at the wedding was amazed about the SDE, they kept talking about it after the wedding. We also booked DJ/EMCEE/UPLIGHTINGS with them, the DJ & MC did great job, MC was so funny, he made everyone laugh and having such a good time. We requested a lot of EDM music for our wedding, and they pleased us. It was an amazing day, of course because its our wedding but also because we have an amazing team supporting us throughout the day and make wonderful things happen. Updated: I would give them 5 stars on the day of service but because it took long time to receive SDE video after wedding, they didnt send until I asked for it. Photos & Video also took long time to receive after wedding I wanna give them 3 stars but I am giving them 4 for their professional attitude while we work things out. I would still recommend their service, just make sure you remind them often, i didn't wanna bug them and patiently wait 4 months until i asked they seemed to forget about it and started to work on it. We now received all the products, its not bad... its just not as great as we expected. They did an amazing job on the day of so for final products we were hopping for something greater than just what we received. My friend got married at Ko'olina and hired isle media for her video and photos. I was the maid of honor, my daughter was the flower girl, and my son was the ring bearer. I thought that since we were all dressed up, we could have our photos taken for our family Christmas card. Isle media was able to accommodate my request and captured a few beautiful shots of my family. The quality of the photos were so amazing. The whole team was INCREDIBLE. My husband and I appreciated Isle Media for their fantastic work. From the pre-wedding, to the day-of and post-wedding, they were consistently prompt and professional throughout. ALAN Sangpan walked us through everything we needed to know as far as what Isle Media offers. They have now expanded their services. They offer COMPLETE PACKAGES (very convenient) that take care of everything for you. We went with a video+photo package and added on a DJ and uplighting. It was so nice that we were able to get a a few things checked off our to-do list all at once. My husband wanted to add on the make-up package for me too but unfortunately my sister already purchased a make-up stylist as a gift for me. Isle Media will cater to your every specific need. They are available to consult via e-mail, over the phone, and in person. E-mail communication is VERY PROMPT. It seems like Alan works 24-hours around-the-clock. A month and a half before the wedding, we touched base with one of the team members, Kyle. He was very friendly and walked us through the detailed finalization form that allows you to specify every little detail as far as how you want your special day captured. On the day of the wedding we were showered by a friendly group of photographers and videographers all lined up at the bride's house. REESE, KYLE, LESTER did a superb job throughout the day. I am very sorry if I left out any names. There were a few others but these three are hilarious. They come up with fun ways to get the couple to smile and laugh throughout the day. The photographers and videographers came right on time with all their equipment. It felt like they were serious paparazzi ready to get every single, important moment. Let me tell you, they sure did because when we received our videos and pictures, we were ABSOLUTELY AMAZED. Let me recommend to splurge on photos and video because at the end of the wedding, at the end of the day, all you are left with are photos and videos that you can go back to in the future to re-live those precious moments. Delivery was immediate. It ONLY TOOK ONE MONTH for Isle Media to deliver us our goodies. They even sent us sample pictures about two weeks after the wedding and we used one of them as a thank you card. My husband and I had a wonderful experience with this team when we got married in September. The day of video edit captured the entire experience of the day so that we could play it during the reception, and the quality was amazing! These guys are super friendly and easy to work with, and they are so quick to responding to any questions or requests we had afterwards regarding our photos and full video edit. Isle Media did such a great job with the photography and beauty services at my wedding. First of all, Reese rocks! Before the wedding, he had me send him pictures that I liked on the Internet and he went out of his way to make all the pictures I wanted happen. He was so excited to try different things too, like cool night pictures and some awesome images involving sparklers. He even was willing to drive with us to a beach location to get more pictures! We chose to go with Isle Media because they offered both photography and videography. We were always told that the biggest thing we should splurge on our wedding is our photo and video. It was a bit of an overwhelming process looking at different vendors considering there were so much of them. A lot of companies offered both photo and video but we (aka mostly the bride) would only like the pictures versus the same-day-edit or vice versa. We got lucky enough to stumble upon Isle Media when the bride was doing google search. She fell in love with the videos and pictures they posted. The videos were greatly edited and the photos were clean and not overly photoshopped. After our initial meeting with Alan and Reese, we knew they were the perfect company for us. They made us feel important by taking the time to get to know us and made us feel very comfortable with them. They responded to all of our questions within a timely manner (within 24-48 hours via email). When planning for our photo shoots, they took the time to exchange ideas with us regarding what shots we wanted and truly took our suggestions into consideration. That level of comfort also extended to our photo sessions. The questionnaire list that we needed to turn in before the wedding was a great tool! It really made us think on what photos we wanted to have, who we wanted to take photos with, scenes we wanted to include in our Same Day Edit, songs we wanted to include, etc. They only suggestion we would like to add with the questionnaire is the option to save it online and come back to it at a later time. Although we copied and pasted the questions into a word document so we could save it (just in case our computer crashed or we accidentally exit the screen), a "save" button would have been a nice option to have. While we worked mostly with Reese (he conducted our engagement photo session and was the lead photographer on our wedding day) the entire Isle Media team was great. They were very professional. They were prompt and very well prepared. This allowed them to maximize the time they had with us so we could get as many photos and as much video footage as possible. In addition, even though they were constantly taking pictures and filming, they made it feel as though we didn't constantly have cameras in front of us. This allowed everyone involved to be more relaxed and natural which resulted in very one having a great time. In regards to our Same Day Edit, it was more than we expected it to be! It was simple and showed exactly what we wanted it to show: a quick recap of the days events. The editing and the footage that was shown in approximately 4 minutes captured the emotions we were feeling that day. We're glad to say that it made a lot of people we know tear/cry (in happiness, of course). We ourselves have watched it MULTIPLE times and it always makes us smile and think of how amazing and special our wedding day was. A very big thank you to Reese and the Isle Media team! Our wedding day honestly would not have been as amazing as it was had it not been for Reese and Sam and their amazing photography skills. They were both so easy to work with but more importantly, they were FUN to work with. I'm normally not one to take a lot of pictures, I think the number of selfies I've taken can be counted on one hand, but Reese made me comfortable and the process painless. My husband and I got married in December in Kaneohe and we happened to be blessed with awesome weather and Reese took full advantage of it. It really felt as if he was doing everything to make sure that we got pictures he knew we would love. He had us standing in different spots and he made suggestions about what to do and it was just so awesome working with someone who knew how to put you at ease and gift you with some amazing pictures that we'll be able to cherish for years to come. Another thing that was really cool was how excited Reese seemed. He was visibly happier when he realized the weather was perfect and when you're working with somebody who is putting off excitement like that, it's hard not to get excited yourself! Oh and also he was very patient. Our wedding party is amazing and very loving but they were getting out of hand at times and Reese kind of had to reel them in. But he also played along and joked with us and that overall made everything really fun. Reese made the whole process seem so much smoother and laid back and we love him for it. Reese was so easy to talk to and never made us feel as if our questions about poses and stuff were stupid, even though I'm sure many of them were. In the end, he was our photography angel because he really put together amazing photos for us and we could not be more thankful. He took all of our ideas and our vision and brought it to life and made it even better than we had ever imagined. Everything that we wanted was fulfilled that night. He didn't let us down one bit and we're so happy that we were able to share our special day with him because, believe me, it would not have been as special without him. Isle Media was referred to us by our planner and we couldn't have been happier with the service they provided. At our first meeting Alan walked us through all of the options Isle Media provides in a very friendly, very professional way and he had great suggestions for our wedding. We were also really happy with our photographer, Lester, and videographer, Brendan, at our wedding and reception. We hadn't provided much direction in terms of what we were hoping they would capture, so both Lester and Brendan walked us through some options and provided suggestions along the way. They did an amazing job of capturing all of the key moments as well as a bunch of candid shots throughout the event. We also appreciated how they tried to be efficient with shooting after the ceremony and during the sunset so that we didn't spend too much time away from our guests and the event. The final images and videos we received were far better than we had hoped for. The lighting, style and cuts were exceptional and perfectly captured the event. We had our wedding on January 7, 2017 in Cancun, Mexico. I found Isle Media on Youtube ( they worked on wedding at resort that we chose for our wedding) absolutely loved their work. Even though they headquartered in Hawaii they can fly to any destination to capture your wedding. I emailed them and got a response on same day from Alan. We needed video recap, video and pictures, after few emails back and forth we agreed on reasonable price for the package. We had team of three people (Reese, James and Brandon) who came on the day of the wedding to our resort to work. They were very professional and told us everything we needed to do for pics. They were capturing beautiful moments in the background, and video looked great and natural. They brought a projector with them and showed the recap at the reception. Everyone absolutely loved it. Great team that provided amazing work. I asked to redo couple of things in the recap and they emailed us the updated version five days after the wedding. Pictures: I needed few pictures for thank you cards, and emailed them. They emailed us file with the wedding pictures. I also inquired about the rest of the pictures and two days later they emailed us complete file. We are very happy with results and quick turnaround (only 3 weeks since the wedding and we already have all pictures!). JUST had my wedding this past weekend and could not be more happier with Isle Media. We went with their wedding package and established a wonderful relationship with them right from the beginning. We worked with them from the engagement photos to the wedding day. Our engagement photographer was Reese and we were SO happy with how the pics turned out! He listened to what we wanted and was so laid back and easy to work with! On our wedding day, Ren their makeup artist did a beautiful job with the bridesmaids and listened to what type of look I wanted which was soft and natural. I am so happy that we chose Isle Media for our wedding day! It was hard to find a videographer that would still give us everything we wanted for a decent price. Alan and his crew are simply amazing!! Isle Media is an awesome company! I was looking for a great photographer and called a lot of photographers and after meeting and talking with Lester I decided to go with Isle Media. My Parents saw there work at another wedding and loved the Love Story. So we took the love story and had the photographer and both came out awesome.
