Alan, Lester, Reese, and the rest of the team at Isle Media were extremely easy to work with and very professional throughout our dealings. After a lot of research my fiancée reached out to them to cover our wedding through pictures and videography. She had nothing but good things to say about them and after reading other reviews I was excited to work with them. The day of the wedding. They showed up to our hotel exactly when they were supposed to photograph myself and the groomsmen. Problem was we were still running errands for the wedding and were not ready. They were flexible though and went to the brides room to photograph them first which could have been a fiasco but they managed to work it out. I don't really remember the actual ceremony because I was so focused on my bride but I'll see those photos soon. After the wedding we took a bunch of pictures and were able to capture a rainbow over Diamond Head which was the first I had ever seen there. They were able to capture it beautifully. This is my first time writing a review for anything online. Well here it goes... When my husband and I were doing our budget planning and what to include in our wedding we were actually thinking of not having a videographer to save costs. We figured we have pictures and that is the most important. Trust me video is equally important when capturing precious moments for a wedding. Thank goodness we decided to use a videographer! Our wedding coordinator actually referred us to Isle Media because she has worked with Alan and his team in the past and they do amazing work. I went on their website to browse at some of their past wedding videos and I fell in LOVE! Each video captured so much emotion and quality shots that I knew we would be in good hands. We decided on having a same day edit video to play at our reception. Our ceremony was very small, therefore the guests who were attending the reception could feel like they were apart of the ceremony when we play the same day edit during our program. The day of my wedding Alan actually came around a half an hour early, which I did not mind at all. Alan and his team were very professional throughout the time the bridal party was getting ready. At times I did not even know they were there! They were also very cooperative because my husband got ready at a different hotel and they were able to get their equipment and video those special getting ready moments. During our reception I was so excited to see the finished piece with our same day edit. When it was finished I was shocked at how quickly and how beautiful it came out. The video exceeded my expectations and was so grateful and honored they were able to do this for us. A day or two later Alan sent me the link to his website where our same day edit was posted. Trust me the first week I watched the video at least twice a day hahaha! :) In around two weeks time our video DVD was ready. I was so amazed at the turn around time for the finished product. I was expecting to wait at least a couple of months to receive anything wedding related. Once I grabbed it from my mailbox I immediately popped it in my computer and hit play. OMG it is so great to relive your wedding from beginning to end. They captured the special, candid and emotional moments that I can replay again and again. My wife and I got married on Maui in December 2012 and elected to use IsleMedia for photography, videography, and make-up services. We both live in Honolulu and had a difficult time selecting vendors since we had little experience with Maui-based ones. It was by chance that we ran across Reese at a bridal expo on Maui - they were actually the last vendors we talked to that day. We saw a few of their sample highlight videos and were impressed by their work. To our surprise, their rates were fairly low compared to a lot of other photographers/videographers on Oahu. Without seeing much of their portfolio, we boldy signed with IsleMedia 9 months before our wedding. We were excited at the thought of having photo, video, and make-up services all from one company. I must admit, I was still a bit skeptical about the company at the time of signing since it was only about 6 months into its infant year. As I logged on to their website throughout our wedding planning, my doubts slowly disappeared. Their blog (usually updated weekly) is the best feature of their company and it allowed us to see first-hand what their style is. We met with Alan and Reese twice before our wedding to discuss the details of our day and they were very easy to work with. Zairrah met with my wife for a trial session prior to our wedding which helped her visualize how she wanted to look on our wedding day. On our wedding day, the entire team showed up early to familiarize themselves with the site. Zairrah started on hair and make-up and was very accommodating to some changes my wife wanted to her hairstyle. Zairrah was able to put together a natural, yet elegant look for my wife, her maid-of-honor, and her mom. My wife loved working with Zairrah. She is amazing at what she does and is a true artist. We were running a bit behind (like all weddings) and the video and photo teams kindly waited or found things to document (setup, flowers, decorations, etc.) Our photographers were Kay and Reese, who were very professional and made us feel comfortable. Their styles complement each other really well. Reese's formal shots coupled with the creative angles from Kay in the wedding details made for fantastic pictures. Alan's video team also did a really nice job documenting everything. They were very ninja-like...we barely even noticed they were around. The same day edit video and photo show was awesome and capped off our night perfectly. It still baffles me how a lot of wedding media professionals take up to a year to deliver their final products. IsleMedia has recently started a 30 day turnaround policy on their videos and photos. Although this was not part of our contract, they delivered our final products in about 3 weeks. We had to have Alan do some minor editing of the final video but he made the adjustments promptly, no questions asked. When we watched the video, half the stuff they shot were things that we didn't realize even happened - thumbs up! The formal pictures Reese shot were breathtaking (despite me being the least photogenic person ever). I wished we had the time to take more. Overall, they were an amazing wedding vendor. We first heard of Islemedia at the January 2013 Bridal Expo. Their offered services were competitive so I shopped around before actually booking them. I wanted to make sure when I signed the contract I was beyond content and satisfied with not only the services, but also the photographer. I met Kay in the summer for a coffee session to see if she fit our style all around. My first impression of her was that she was professional, kind, and creative. She had the edge we were looking for. But of course a marriage is a collaboration of both, so my other half had to meet her too for the approval. He thought she was cool as well! Prior to our e-session, Kay and I did a dry run of all our chosen locations. She painted a picture for me as she talked about her ideas. It made me real excited for the final products before they had even been shot. Yesterday was our engagement session. First of all, I really want to thank Reese and the crew (Lester, Rafael, Mike) for doing such an amazing job doing our wedding. Their professionalism and easy to work with attitude towards the whole thing is unparalleled. Roxy and I were very pleased with these guys. They were easy going and made us feel comfortable. First of all we did not have anyone to help us with our vendors in Hawaii. Were from California and just found Isle Media through browsing the internet. The services we paid for was the video/photography package with just 2 person. 1 for photography and 1 for videography. The groomsmen and the bridesmades were in to different places 1 hour away from each other and we wanted them to capture getting ready for both parties. We love Isle Media. My husband and I are from Hawaii but we were both living in Utah during the period that we were engaged. They payed such close attention to detail in planning on what they'd capture prior to the big day. When the wedding day arrived they were such professionals, we didn't have to really think about what we were doing while they were shooting, rather just were in the moment. We trusted them with their own vision in capturing our special day. I appreciate how they captured such candid moments and edited our highlight video to an AMAZING product! We received our highlight video so much faster than we had expected. It was so beautiful, everything, and more than we expected to receive. We are so thankful for the work and care of the Isle Media team. We can't imagine hiring a better group of people to create a more beautiful video. Hiring Isle Media as the videography team for our wedding was one of the BEST decisions we made! Alan and Makena captured our day beautifully. They went above and beyond and far exceeded my already high expectations. They were professional and worked well with my photographer that I hired separately, and they were easy for the whole wedding party to get along with and feel comfortable around. We were so happy with how everything turned out! They also edited a highlight video from the day to be played towards the end of the reception, and my guests were so surprised and LOVED it! I can literally not say enough good things about working with Alan and the Isle Media team. It all started when we attended a wedding a few years ago that Alan filmed and knew after seeing the first day edit and full feature film that Alan and Isle Media were it for us when the time came. Three years later - Alan shot our wedding weekend in Greenville, South Carolina. From the get go, communicating with Isle Media was easy and simple. Very straight forward - no funny business. I know I am going to be filling Isle Media's yelp site with all of my reviews, but I can't help but brag about this company! We finally got our highlight video and it blew us away. So, my husband is the type that likes control, but I convinced him that we should leave it to the professionals and trust them, and we are so glad that we did! Isle Media chose the best song to represent our day and made the video flow so beautifully. I started to cry as we watched the video together because it captured so much emotion in the short time it played. Seriously...everyone needs to at least speak to this company when looking around for company to do their wedding. Especially since they are a all-in-one company, you know you can't go wrong. They work well together, share a common theme, and will capture everything equally. I really don't feel like my pictures were better than my video or vice versa. I just created an account with Yelp to give Isle Media my first review. Alan has been very responsive with both my bookings in 2015 and 2017. This year we signed up to take Christmas pictures in November. Lester was assigned to us again and provided the same high level of expectation when coordinating and shooting our picture day. He really knows how to set the mood that allows us to feel comfortable and just enjoy the moment. Reviewing pictures taken that day brought back good memories. I don't write many reviews but I feel that I need to give isle media the recognition they deserve! I couldn't be any happier with my same day edit from isle media! They did such a terrific job!! I didn't even cry at my ceremony but after watching the same day edit, I started to tear!! They also did a terrific job on the slideshow. We initially weren't planning on having a videographer for our wedding because we felt most of them were way over priced and we thought that pictures alone was enough for memories of our special day. As the wedding got closer my parents really insisted that we get a videographer and I kept reading reviews of weddings that videographers catch every detail that pictures don't. I started researching and looking for videographers as my wedding in Hawaii was a destination wedding. I started to give up and my awesome wedding planner Kristina Domanski from Loulu Palm highly suggested Isle Media. She said that they were her favorite. We communicated with Alan who always responded promptly to our emails and felt comfortable talking to him. Brenden was who recorded our wedding and he was very professional and awesome. We just received the highlight video and we can't express how happy we are with it. Not only is their work amazing but their pricing is reasonable considering how awesome their work is. We got so much positive feedback on our video and they captured so many things that we didn't remember about the wedding. I am beyond happy with the work of Isle Media! I would give 6 stars if it was an option! Alan Sangpan was in close email correspondence prior to our wedding and we cannot thank him enough for selecting a video package within our budget. My husband and I were lucky enough to have Alex and Jeremiah work as a team to shoot our wedding. I loved their attention to detail and artistic ideas! They took video of me and my bridesmaids getting ready in our robes, groomsmen getting ready, ceremony, post ceremony beach, shoot, and reception. They were excellent at getting the wedding party to relax and act natural which is so important. They were like ninjas with the video, you coukd sense they were there but we never felt bombarded by the camera. I loved that by the end of the shoot my husband and I felt like the videographers were old friends. The quality of the videos are out of this world! Highly encourage you to book Isle Media! read more
