The displays of warhammer figures painted or the intricately done chess boards are something to withhold. The people here are always so helpful and night and they hold tabletop nights. Well organized, large selection to choose from; If you cannot find your board game, good chance you did not look hard enough. Their customer service is attentive to your needs. Called a hour and a half in Advance for a draft night that started at 6pm. walked in at 6:02 and they were already opening packs. terrible service. Ended up looking at their products and everything was overpriced by a fairly large margin they have commander decks here priced at 60$ that other card shops in tucson have at 31.99$ Had a bad smell in the building and Everyone was white with an attitude. Looks like a great gaming venue with the table space they have with a decent onsite game library. Went back yesterday for one of the (recurring) Sunday Game Days. The shop looks amazing, and is now fully stocked with anything and everything you might want to purchase from a game store. (And if you are looking for something they don't have, just ask -- they can order it and/or let you know when it's back in print) One thing i didn't realize untill yesterday is that the spacious back play area (with the 8+ tables) isn't only open during the Sunday Game Days (and "Friday Night Magic") events that they organize. Drew & the rest of the staff encourage people to come in anytime they're open and hang out and play games -- either from the impressive library of games to try, or games you might bring from home (even if you didn't buy them at the store). read more

In a mad panic of OMG I need to find my 13 year old nephew the best role playing card game that there is I did some research, checked out Geek & Sundry's Tabletop and found a game called Superfight. I PMed Isle of Games on Facebook to see if they had it in stock. Much to my shock they responded in under 1 minute! They didn't have it in stock but they had a similar and frankly, cooler game called Clusterfight. They gave me a brief description and I high tailed it across town. I got there and quickly found out it was their one year anniversary and you could roll the dice for a possible discount! So not only did I get EXCELLENT customer service, a fabulous deal, I also found the best game store in Tucson in the process. I hope Isle of Games will be here for many years to come. I am a new gamer, thanks to my wife, and this place is GREAT!!! I love jigsaw puzzles, they have 'em. You want a new game to play with three of your friends, ask the staff, they have 10 then can recommend off the top of their head. Need a place to game with a group, no problem they have a room in the back the rent by the hour. They provide snacks for the room and all the tables full of people. Need Dice? Check. Magic cards? When I go to game stores I'm usually greeted with a knowledgeable clerk who takes one look at me and pours out condescending comments. Making me feel awkward and out of place. I am not a true gamer nor knowledgeable enough to be at their level. I know this about myself. I don't even try, lol. BUT I DO enjoy some games and indulge in a few fun purchases here and there. I never know if I like something until I try it. So that's what brings me to these game stores. But when I walked into this store I was greeted by a very nice clerk who didn't dismiss me even tho I told him that I'm not a true gamer. He took his time with me, showed me around and even showed me the daily game schedule. This was probably the nicest experience I've ever had at a game store. I will be back! Hands down, the BEST board game store in Arizona. I stop by every time that I'm in Tucson. They have a phenomenal selection of games (including many Kickstarter versions and hard to find add ons). They feature a monthly clearance sale with escalating discounts the more you buy, as well as a large selection of used games at fair prices. They'll also take your used games and offer a fair exchange in store credit. The staff is friendly and helpful without being pushy. I only wish that they had a location in Phoenix! read more

This was once my go-to store. I've spent thousands here. The last several times I've been in though, I can hardly tell the employees from the customers. The younger guys that work there don't greet customers, instead, they hang out and play MTG or other games or talk to their teenage friends with hardly and upward glance. I wandered around the store for maybe 30min today without so much as a "hello" from any employees. Really disappointed in these younger guys. How are they getting paid for this? Running a demo is one thing, but just hanging out with friends and playing MTG instead of attending to customers is another. With several other game stores close by, there's no reason not to spend my money on a more customer-focused store. To be fair, the older guys are great and this is the go-to store if you want Kickstarter exclusives. read more

However, the pricing is competitive and what I would expect. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to much else in terms of selection. One year ago I was new to table top games but wanted to check it out. I was nervous because I had had some memory problems and I am a major introvert. Been here a few times. Clean with a good board game selection. Decent MTG selection. Unfortunately their rewards program doesn't really work. I purchased a bit over $100 on MTG singles and was supposed to collect 100 points ($5 off reward coupon) that never showed up on my account. Same thing happened to a friend of mine. They didn't really seem too helpful in figuring it out, telling us we needed a code to redeem the points, even though that contradicts what the rewards site says (simply give your name/email to the cashier and they will deduct it.) I attempted to sort it out in the store but even the cashier was unable to figure out their own rewards program. I called back a few days later to see if they could help me to resolve it, but again no luck. It's probably not their fault, but they should have chosen a better rewards website to work with or at least have figured out a way to make it work in the mean time so people don't lose out on their rewards. read more

Finally, a game store that you don't have to be embarrassed to bring a friend to ! I appreciate the clean, well organized and well stocked business, run in a professional manner. My only nit is the early closing hours, if you want weeknite gamers to stop in and they work normal hours, they only get in about an hour of gaming which isn't worth the drive. So if they stayed open til 10 PM, it would be a much more practical place to game on weeknites. read more
