During the time of cleaning we requested our dental X-ray pictures given to us so we can send it to our dentist who placed our dental bridges. At that time we were told we to pay or wait till insurance pays for the services to get X-ray pictures. We said we will wait for insurance to pay and then get X-ray pictures. After months and after insurance payment I called and talked to the office. I was told to pay $ 50 each to get X-ray pictures. I said I will not pay but complain to my insurance company. Unprofessional, unethical, and careless healthcare provider!!! DO NOT visit this office, your health and wellbeing do NOT matter to these people! Your MONEY is ALL they care about! They withhold treatment until PRE-PAYMENT is made weeks prior to a visit! My wife needed a crown treatment, and she was referred to this doctor by one of her friends. On her first visit Julie, the "office manager" asked to pay the entire treatment cost which I did not agree to pay, and explained we pay as treatment is being done (which is a normal procedure if visit any other dentist office). She ended up charging us nearly 60% of the treatment cost and they referred my wife to an endodontist as she needed to visit one prior to be able to receive her permanent crown. Couple months later while we NEVER received a call or message from the doctor nor her staff asking how their patient is feeling or even if she is ready and can receive her perm crown, we started receiving phone calls and emails from Julie, asking for making PRE-PAYMENT for the next visits and to receive the final crown!!! She had even threatened to send our file to the "COLLECTION" if we don't make the payment in FULL prior to the final visit while the treatment was incomplete, almost 60% of the entire treatment cost had already been paid and my wife has NOT even received her perm crown! Later, I even asked Julie to schedule an EMERGENCY appointment since my wife's temp crown fell out, but she REFUSED to do so, and withheld treatment until after I made a pre-payment. Unfortunately, we didn't go through online reviews prior to seeing this office, however, later I had read some google reviews (just few scroll down) and figured that there were other people having problem with this office and specially with the "office manager", Julie! I am pursuing a disciplinary action against this dentist office and have already filed a complaint with the Georgia Board of Dentistry; and will likely pursue a legal action as American Dental Association (ADA) clearly says "Dentists shall be obliged to make reasonable arrangements for the emergency care of their patients of record" in its Justice Section 4-B, which this office failed to do so! read more

I visited iSmile dental office in the beginning of November 2021. The office itself is not much different from others. The hygienist did a good job. What is different from other offices is their price. They overcharged me more then double of the amount I was supposed to pay according to the explanation of benefits from my insurance (several hundreds dollars). When I asked them for the refund, they simply refused and kept telling me all kind of nonsense. I had to work with my insurance and filed a complain. the insurance sent me a check of the overcharged amount. So I didn't have to deal with them anymore. I couldn't trust this office with my money, how can I trust them with my health? they aren't worth my time. No, I don't recommend this office. read more

Finding a good dentist (or really any doctor for that matter) when moving to a strange town can take a while - lots of trial and error. I went through a few dentists, because I usually found one that was close to wherever I happened to be working. There was the dentist that had on dirty tennis shoes, the dentist that wasn't very polite. Then I found Dr. Alla Alpert. Now, mind you, her office is no longer 'close' to where I work now - she's all the way up in Roswell off of exit 7 up 400. But I like her that much. The majority of the people that work here are Russian - the hygienist I usually get, as well as Dr. Alpert herself. The last time I went, Dr. Alpert was on maternity leave, and the dentist I got was also Russian. Not sure why, but that's kind of cool. Except for Julie, the office manager. She's not Russian, but I don't hold that against her. She's a friendly, petite lady - the first time I went, I definitely noticed that she was wearing very cute shoes - a bit of a trade off of fashion for foot pain, but very stylish. I am such a sucker for marketing - I love anything unique. Instead of the branded plastic baggie of toothpaste, you get a cute gift bag complete with tissue paper. I mean. . .its still the same toothbrush inside . . but it kind of gives you the 'ohhh! I just got a present!' feeling. The simple joys in life. read more

Superb overall dental experience!~ The staff is so helpful, cheerful, and caring, and they are equipped with individual TV's in each room to accommodate you with your chosen Netflix flick or TV show. Furthermore, Dr. Alla Albert is amazing and a perfectionist at that (which is super ideal for anything teeth related) as is her dental hygenist who was immensely thorough overall. Personally I love getting my teeth cleaned but when dismayed when I was informed I had a few cavities and needed a deep cleaning. I was subsequently fit in right away for due services and even gifted a couple teeth whitening kits, as well as the normal swag given by dentists. I will definitely recommend this dentist to friends and family. Dentists often times invoke (I believe, unnecessary) fear and dread from patients, but this practice is top of the line - with their people and technology. I have been going to Dr. Alpert for over two years now for extensive restorative work and she has gone above and beyond for me on numerous occasions. Even coming in on her day off, giving up family time when I needed her. She even called me personally to check on me at home on the evening after my dental surgery. Her entire staff has always been welcoming and friendly. I originally chose Dr. Alpert partially because of the proximity of her offices to my workplace. I now live and work in Buckhead but still drive all the way to Alpharetta because I know I can trust them with this process because they've shown me that they care about all the details involved. She takes the time to explain everything and discuss what's happening and what will happen next. Visited this dentist for cleaning and annual check-up. They took a normal x-ray and then also tried to take a panoramic x-rays even before the dentist reviewed my normal x-ray. I asked them if the panoramic x-ray is necessary as it never been asked by other dentists for just an annual check-up. The explanation was that the panoramic x-rays shows better visibility than normal. If it is the case, then why they didn't take the panoramic x-ray at the beginning and skip the normal? They also told me that the cost for panoramic x-ray will be covered by my insurance 100% and no worries. Later on, I got the bill from them and noticed that panoramic x-ray was not covered by my insurance for the annual check-up. Called the office mgr to ask what to do with it, the answer was I need to pay it and nothing they can do. Also she said it is my responsibility to check the insurance coverage even though the dentist explained that it will be covered. Also the dentist told me that I need to do a few Fillings and explained how much will be covered by my insurance and the amount I will owe - about $200~250. BUT she was asking me to deposit the amount I will owe in order to schedule the appointment for it! And if I missed the appointment, there will be no reimbursement for it. This is the first dentist among I have visited so far asked the up-front deposit before the treatment. I never been asked for the deposit by other dentists for a few of my previous more expensive procedures. I have been a patient for 2 or 3 dentists before for several years and have never, never heard of this!! I definitely would look for another dentist. read more

I visited Dr. Alpert's office in 11/2012 for a partial denture. The total for her treatment plan was $4,930. Since I don't have dental insurance, cost is a consideration, so I wanted a second professional opinion. I paid my $89 for the evaluation and requested an electronic copy of my dental x-rays. However, instead of the 14 or 16 x-rays that were taken, all I received was seven and I noticed quickly that none of them provided details on the treatment area related to the denture. The office manager told me that these x-rays were all they have. On my question what happened to the other pics, she told me they were deleted. I was in total disbelief how they could throw out those x-rays that were absolutely critical to performing the treatment. The second dentist told me that she needed to take four more x-rays for her evaluation. So I was exposed to unnecessary x-rays and had to pay extra because Dr. Alpert's office does not respect basic patient interests when they want a second opinion. The second dentist will only charge me $1,288, a 74% savings. I cannot recommend Dr. Alpert's office. read more
