Not only does he attack the problem, but he also tries to identify and address the underlying issue...in my case tight muscles pulling at my back. I would recommend to anyone to go to Kelly as their first stop for chiropractic needs. I came here for acupuncture through a recommendation. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was pretty disappointing. My appointment was booked from 6:45-7:45 PM. I did arrive late around 7:03PM (as listed on my Google Maps history), so I completely understood that I might lose some treatment time because of that. However, the session ended at around 7:30 PM because I was told there was another appointment afterward. Cutting me off 15 mins of time. What confused me was that when I went to the front desk afterward, they told me her next appointment actually wasn't until 8PM, and later explained there had been a mistake with the scheduling/timing on acupuncturist' end. I understand mistakes happen, but I was still billed for the full hour appointment before I even came out, and no solution was offered other than being told to email the owner myself. It was frustrating because while I tried to be understanding about arriving late, it didn't feel like the issue was handled appropriately once it became clear the scheduling mistake was on their end as well. The appointment was good overall, I like that she also did a bit of massage while doing acupuncture. Though the cupping was a bit pinchy on my skin and maybe some oil application would be better as she was sliding it around like gwa sha. Just as I was relaxing into it, it got cut off sooner. The language barrier made it tough for her to explain conditions, so better if you can understand and can communicate with her in mandarin. Though not a big deal. I'll still consider coming back if they offer a resolution. Just sharing my experience so others are aware. They shouldn't have billed the customer already before they come out of their session. At that point the front desk couldn't do refunds or provide a solution. **Update owner called me directly after and offered 30 mins session for the mistake so I appreciate it. I asked some questions as I was interested in getting some care and talked about some of the pain I've been experiencing. I booked my appointment then and there for a couple of weeks later. Fast forward to today where I had my appointment with Alan for an initial assessment. I've had physio before but let me tell you this was a different experience. Alan took the time to get to know me, asked great questions, and was extremely thorough. It's like you're getting a personal coach that is interested in helping you through the stages of recovery and achieving your goals. After that initial appointment I actually have a 4 week plan, stretching exercises to do everyday day and a written document describing what I want to achieve. This experience was not only engaging but their model is so innovative. I'm now starting my journey with them on my personalized treatment plan which I can't believe I'm excited about and engaged fully in the process. Also shout out to Jay and Trish. I called Fit based on my husbands referral (he loves them and have helped him with his nerve injury) and let me say I was impressed! When I called to make an appointment, the office administrator was Uber friendly, asked me some questions (yes they do direct billing with your insurer) and then sent me some forms via email and followed up with me. So amazing first impressions! Today was my appointment and I was greeted with a smile, she helped me fill out some forms I missed and then I was quickly taken for my appointment by someone I think is named Laura (well let's call her Laura for now) She was so friendly, made me feel comfortable as I was in a lot of pain, explained the process and when I can expect. Then I met the Dr., Pankil. Young, friendly, professional and provides such great detail and explanations. He walked me through first what my appointment would look like, did an assessment and then gave me a play by play of next steps. They did various things like apply heat, used a machine called "tens" on me and dry needling (acupuncture). Also Laura showed me some exercises I need to do twice a day and went through each one with me and they just Know I have a terrible memory as I received a folder and handout with exercises. This was an excellent experience and I was surprised as I'm in so much pain but this team shows patience and compassion and are so transparent with their patients. I'm booked for a couple of appointments this week and am looking forward to seeing them again.
