After almost 7 years …read more.. I have found the right treatment, and the right person. After 3 GP visits, and no closer to the original problem ... I found my physio! (Add to the 3 GP visits ... 2 chiros ... 1 podiatrist ... 1 chiropodist ... and yes, 2 previous physios ...) OK so on to the relevant part - why I am writing this review. That would be because Dev at Primal (working this location/office out of Turf Athletic Club) is finally SPOT ON! I had an assessment and now the beginnings of a treatment plan that really does go back to the root of the problem. I'll add that I found him because I approached my search specifically for a sports medicine specialist. I took up different physical activities over the years and being the stubborn person I am, when I decide to go somewhere with something, I push myself - so I finally figured that, I'd better go to a specialist who knows that I do want to push myself a bit physically when I am better, and how to approach my physical health as someone who sustains a lot of wear and tear in general. I booked my initial assessment, and Dev was personable and professional right off the bat. He helped me prepare in advance with the usual forms and insurance paperwork ahead of the appointment, so no need to waste time before the visit. Granted, I've done A LOT of leg work over the years, trying to figure out this problem ... but Dev picked up everything that was relevant, and proceeded after the medical and historical data collection, to the physical assessment. Just your basic physical range tests and questions ... but he got totally to the root of the problem, and I know exactly what that 7 year old problem is now! Dev's approach is backed by a lot of credentials, and he clearly knows how to apply them. He also uses a fantastic program that shows you exactly what he thinks is going on with your body - sort of like an app that has your skeleton as the basic "layer" and with all the muscular, nerve, etc. that can be added and manipulated to show where your pains and problems come from. Sort of like having a Gray's Anatomy app! And with the proper physical assessment he gave, I can now figure that over the years, other "problems" are actually secondary ones compensating for the root problem. Don't get me wrong, this isn't about the fancy app - Dev is patient, focused on his clients, and knows how to apply his knowledge to help you get back to your best you. The club is new and this isn't an office that looks like some fancy spa. This is all about the excellent client focus and care I got, and I'm convinced I finally have the right treatment plan. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Tony did a full assessment before deciding on treatment which included exercises to strengthen muscles, ultrasound therapy, massage and icing and/or heat. They are located at the back of the Dufferin Steeles Family Medical Centre which is at the back of Shoppers Drug Mart. The parking lot is large and shared by all businesses in the plaza.

Upon entrance, I was greeted by the receptionist and filled out my health history form. I was actually surprised that they directly bill to insurance companies since many places do not directly bill, unless if it is a clinic. After filling out my forms, I was greeted by Karli Rose, and she lead me to the treatment room. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated, giving me the relaxing feels like within a spa setting. Karli Rose did a thorough consult with me prior to the treatment. The massage itself was amazing. Karli Rose had the perfect medium-deep pressure during the massage. She allowed me to chit chat when I wanted, but also allowed me to be in my own silent space. I really enjoyed talking with her and getting to know her, especially since we had similar past experiences. Since this was my first appointment, I was able to receive the first-time price of $59.99. The receptionist mentioned the membership for future appointments, which I declined for now since I maxed out my benefits for the year, but have thought about it for next year when it resets.
