Dr. Chang is an amazing eye doctor. I have never had someone walk me through my appointment with such detail. Dr. Chang wanted me to know how healthy my eyes really are, and areas that I can improve to have better sight and eye health. The eyewear selection is great and I am complimented on my glasses on almost a daily basis. Pat is well versed in insurance and will help you get the best deal possible. I had a great experience at this office today. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in smooth and stress-free. Dr Chang, was excellent -- very caring, took time to explain everything in detail, and made sure all of my questions were answered clearly. Methodical, diligent, communicative optometrist who keeps abreast with all the latest myopia control technologies and treatments. I trust Dr Chang with my three kids (ages 14, 12, 9) and their myopia have not budged for the last 3 years under Dr Chang's care! He's on time with appointments so wait times are minimal or none. he's great with explaining what's going on and all the options available in a way that people can easily understand. his office staff is pleasant and efficient, and ordering contact lenses through this clinic is a breeze. My kids have a comfortable time and great vision day-to-day and will likely enter adulthood with much lower myopia than my wife and I have. Dr. Chang is the best optometrist I have ever met. I was having problems with the glasses I purchased at Costco, and he and his staff fit me into their busy schedules within a couple of days. I have been seeing Dr Eric Chang now for a number of years even before he had his own office at the Issaquah location. I would say that he is probably the best eye doctor I have seen. He is caring, attentive, willing to answer all of my questions thoroughly. And overall, just very competent and professional. There were a few years where I had company vision care where Dr. Chang unfortunately was not in-network, and I had to go elsewhere. Those experiences brought me back to see Dr. Chang because he is someone that I trust with my eye sight. Also, he's an alright guy to talk to when he's doing eye exam and that's a plus. Great optometrist and a wonder person! I needed a new optometrist when my older optometrist was retiring and I was recommend by a friend to visit Dr. Chang. He was very welcoming, and just recently took over this office from another doctor. Usually, I would go in for my annual check get my prescription and that was it. But Doctor Chang was very detailed about what he found gave me really great advice on how I prevent dry eyes in my case. I really appreciate that he took the time to sit with me and discuss ways to keep my eyes healthy. Its like they say "not everyone's eyes are the same." I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area. The staff were all really friendly and personable, I understand why my friend recommended him to me. I can't really say enough about how great Dr Chang, Pat, and Issaquah Optometric Center as a company and health care providers are! I had an incident, and after calling multiple places, being denied because of full schedules or simply being put on hold for eternity my luck turned when Pat picked up the phone and Dr Chang made time to see me in my moment of need. They understood, and squeezed me in. Dr Chang was comforting and reassuring, as well as incredibly gentle working with an area that makes all of us shudder when thinking about! Not only was he able to make me whole, but followed up with me within a couple days; AGAIN making time for me by squeezing me in! We had a wonderful conversation, and he was incredibly thorough in his explanation of what had transpired; answering every question while also having a friendly chat about off-topic subjects to put my mind at ease. This office, and Dr Chang and Pat took what could have been an awful experience and turned it into a positive, because now I have my new eye doctor for years and years to come. Wish we could have met under better circumstances ;) but having been there in a tough and vulnerable spot I am confident that my search for all things eye and sight related is over! I went in because I was having ocular migraines. I was super nervous before hand because I had really never been to the eye doctor and also, I didn't want something to be massively wrong with my eyes since the ocular migraines are very new to me. The moment I walked in the door, the receptionist was super friendly and just chatted with me while she checked me in. Then I started my appt with Dr. Chang and he was so thorough and just reassured me that what I was experiencing and my symptoms are very normal for those migraines. That instantly made me feel better! He was so patient and so nice and made my appointment very personable. It was not rushed in any way. He makes you feel like you have been friends for years! I rarely write reviews, but since solid, trustworthy care is so hard to come by these days, I had to take the opportunity to recommend this optometrist. I saw Dr. Chang while I was staying with my brother in Seattle for a couple of months. I wish I lived close by so he could be my permanent eye doctor! He's fantastic. Very personable and thorough. Dr. Chang is by far the best Optometrist around! He is such a nice guy with the added bonus of being quite funny. He makes you feel welcome and at ease while you are there. He was very thorough during my exam, he even pointed out a small fiber that runs across my pupil (it doesn't impede my vision, so I had no idea it was there) he snapped a picture of it so I could see what it was, pretty neat if I do say so myself. Dr. Chang fit me in a very comfortable contact lens, which if you have an astigmatism, you know how uncomfortable they can be. The prescription was spot on, I couldn't be happier! I'm really surprised there isn't a review here, but am happy to be the first to say how wonderful Mark Jensen is! My parents and I have been going here for years. In my younger days of moving around a lot I went to whatever optometrist was nearby. Every year, my eyesight got worse and I thought it was just part of the deal of my genetics. The first time I went to Dr. Jensen was the first time that I walked out of an eye doctor's office and didn't feel seasick from over prescribed lenses and when I came back a year later it was the first time that there was NO CHANGE in my prescription. I really appreciate how practical and straight forward he is. His receptionist Patti is wonderful too! I now live out in Seattle and make the drive out there my appointments.
